They were absolutely good players but it shows the following:

    - 2 headed monster running back combinations don't necessarily work.  You need a feature guy and a change of pace guy

    - Money shouldn't be invested in two highly paid running backs.  There are too many other needs on the team (as there were in each of those three scenarios) and when they go unaddressed, it doesn't matter who's at RB.

The other thing to think about also is those players were never really on the field at the same time. Some times they were but as good as the RBs were they were not at the level of Shady or Le'Veon. Shady is a HOF RB and Le'Veon is on pace to the same thing.

Remember that time when we were supposed to have a two headed monster in the backfield of Willis McGahee and Travis Henry?  And another time with Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson?  And another time with Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller.  All of these worked out great.

They had nothing to do with why we were a bad team those years. They were all actually really good players

I don’t know man.  This is a really deep WR class.  I don’t feel like trading for Green is the move here.  I’m all over Daryl Williams though, and then another guard/tackle in the 2nd or 3rd.

It usually takes rookie receivers 2 or 3 years to finally find their groove though. This team can't afford that. This offense needs playmakers. Get Green and still draft your receiver that way if we release Green after 3 years, the rookie should be ready to by then if he pans out

Yeah I heard AJ Green is demanding a trade to the Bills now

Obviously, that's not what I meant. I was talking more along the lines of maybe he knows some info on if the Bengals are looking to trade AJ. Maybe if the Bills are looking into AJ Green and they are close to a deal, Kroft can be the guy to talk Green into coming here. That's what I meant but of course people only look at things with tunnel vision. They never look at the peripherals or the outside factors. If they did maybe people won't jump to conclusions about things and see the bigger picture of what someone is talking about

  5. This is the guy I would have inquired about all along. He's more of the "process" guy Beane and McDermott have been preaching about. Or Julio. I just hope Beane looks into it and not just looks to free agency. No one in free agency really helps us

We destroyed them after team turmoil without Darnold starting. Darnold came into BUF and won here. Jets fans look at BUF the same way many fans view them as two easy wins and a morbid franchise that's always bad. What exactly has BUF done to make them any better then the NY over the last decade? Both teams are near mirror images of each other in many respects.

In general Bills fans seem to always see the Jets and Phins as four easy wins and then act stunned when we lose.

Its for fun and there isn't much substance to speak of. Why bother comment if you don't care

I'm not saying it's an easy win but I'm just surprised I've seen a few people already just come out and say it's a loss. That's just shocking to me because it can really go either way and honestly it's a game we can very well win

We are at NY, they will be better after the offseason of additions, and home teams naturally have the advantage. People if anything are underselling the Jets with the additions they likely make and Darnolds growth.

I don't think they will be that improved and they hired Adam Gase. He's not really a big improvement over what they had. We destroyed them in their house last year also

Here is what they predicted yesterday. I LOVE the two night games being at CLE MNF and home BAL for TNF. Here is my prediction W/L wise off of that because nothing is happening yet in football:

Wk 1: vs. MIA - WIN

    Wk 2: @ PIT - WIN

    Wk 3: @ CLE (MNF) - LOSS

Wk 4: vs. WSH - WIN

Wk 5: vs. CIN - WIN

    Wk 6: @ DAL - LOSS

    Wk 7: @ NE - LOSS

    Wk 8: BYE WEEK

Wk 9: vs. BAL (TNF) - WIN

    Wk 10: @ MIA - WIN

Wk 11: vs. DEN - WIN

Wk 12: vs. NYJ - WIN

    Wk 13: @ NYG - WIN

Wk 14: vs. PHI - LOSS

    Wk 15: @ TEN - WIN

    Wk 16: @ NYJ - LOSS

Wk 17: vs. NE - LOSS

    10-6 record, 3-3 Divisional record, & 8-4 AFC record

Can someone tell me why people keep having us lose the second Jets game? You have us losing it and Howard said the same thing. Am I missing something?

Let’s not forget 4 of those 7 came against the woeful Dolphins and that makes up 45% of his career TDS over 2 seasons in just those 2 games.

In 30 career games Zay has zero 100 yard games.  In 7 career games Foster has three 100 yard games.  In 30 career games he has had less than 40 yards 22 times.

A couple 2 TD games against a terrible Dolphins team doesn’t erase the other 28 games of mostly sub par play.

How many Bills receivers have really had many 100 yard games in the last 5 or 10 years? I'm not saying he's gonna be a super star and I'm not saying that he has been all that great in the time that he's been here but he has shown a few glimpses here and there that he could be a legit receiver. They may be few and far between but I think his main thing is to learn how to be more consistent with catching the ball. I still think he can be a decent receiver in this league

This is the rare, well-written, carefully reasoned, totally ridiculous take on this board.

    The Bills need WRs.

They have a 23yr old that they invested a 2nd round pick in.

    He is cost-controlled.

He more than doubled his catches in year 2.

There is zero chance he gets cut this year.

Let's not forget he had 7 TDs including 2 multi TD games

Pardon the bad grammar....and I know I probably asked this question before...

but how in the holy hell can a person root for the Bills (bleeding red white and blue, as one poster suggested) and still have a ‘backup’ or secondary team??

    i really don’t get it.

    Can someone explain?

For me I bleed Bills red, white and blue and then I also bleed whatever colors the Patriots opponents are each week. So not necessarily one secondary team but a bunch each week
