No disagreements about what could have been.  Megatron would be the #2 receiver on my all time team.  Having said that, Torry Holt wasn't a slouch.  He had 8 straight seasons of 1,100+ yards receiving and was the fastest WR ever to 10,000 yards at that time.  He did this while having to share touches with Isaac Bruce and Mashall Faulk/Steven Jackson.  Add in the Super Bowl victory and that puts him over the top for me.

Truthfully, having been retired since 2009, Holt should have been in already.

Yeah, Holt should probably be in considering he retired 12 years ago. But I wouldn't have him as first ballot. I do think he will get in eventually

Don't leave out the Super Bowl MVP and League MVPs (1999, 2001).  Once upon a time, Kurt was the highest rated passer in league history.  I don't understand how folks don't have him as Hall of Fame worthy, especially if you witnessed his career.

Edge was Hall worthy, but got in quicker than I anticipated - like with a lot of the more recent classes.  I don't think Calvin Johnson should have went in before Torry Holt.

I do think Calvin should have got in before Torry Holt. He was a better WR and sort of a one of a kind. 6'5 240 and ran a 4.35. Caught 83 TDs in 9 seasons and I think the only doubt casted among Calvin being a first ballot is he didn't play 12 or 13 years. If he did, no one would disagree. I believe he still holds the record for WR yards in a season and is only one of I think a handful of WRs to ever have a 300 yard receving game. Johnson if he played 5 or 6 years longer would have been top 5 all time in my opinion

yes, those stats are well beyond very good, 8 times over 1,200 yards!  I was going to look them up then saw your post; surprised, and definitely very deserving of the Hall of Fame.  And from what I recall, a good character guy too.  Nice take!

I didn't realize those were his stats. I know he was a great player. Now that I have looked them up myself, he is worthy. I never realized he had four 1500 yard or more seasons. That's amazing

I'd have to look at his stats but from memory he was Hall of Very Good. I've had this problem for a while now, a lot of guys get in who I don't think should, but that's just me. I think the HOF should be the absolute best of the best, the real legends, if that means less people going in so be it.

The one that always comes to mind and has caused many arguments with me and people in bars is Kurt Warner. Very good player who had some great seasons and a great story, but to me, over the entire course of his career, he wasn't quite HOF. Now I know lots of people will disagree with that and that's great, but it's one of the reasons I think the HOF has become devalued a little

The reason why I do think Kurt Warner is a HOF player is because of the franchises he turned around.

The Rams were absolute garbage when he took over and he got them to a Super Bowl in his first year as a starter. He took them to 2 Super Bowls and although he had Marshall Faulk, Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce, it's not the "Greatest Show on Turf" without him.

After a couple rough years with injuries and a year as a lame duck QB as a backup to Eli, he goes to Arizona and takes over for Matt Leinart and turns around another garbage team, who despite having Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin (which the other QBs they had did nothing with) he takes them to a Super Bowl and has the Cardinals right there to beat the Steelers. He took the freaking Cardinals to a Super Bowl.

2 franchises that were junk before he got there, he turned around. That is HOF worthy to me

As most of us know, the drought from 2000 to 2016 was brutal. That’s why we even say things like PTSD when something bad happens. Heck, it became so much a part of us that we came up with our own bills way to say it, “BBFS”.

Obviously though, it’s been different lately. We have been in the playoffs the last three out of four years, won some playoff games, went to the AFC championship game, just signed our franchise guy through 2028. Heck, even the national narrative is starting to change.

So, here’s my questions. Because the BBFS could be so strong, when did your perspective of the team and your BBFS start to change? Also, do you still struggle with BBFS or has the recent success changed that overall?

For me, it started with the Cowboys game in 2019. It was like, “Oh, wow, we were on the road on the national stage and beat a decent/good team.” It was cemented last season with our eight game winning streak.

It feels great heading into the season, barring major injuries, that we’re a force to be reckon with. It feels great going into games (most games) feeling like we will win instead of hoping that we will.

Would love to hear your thoughts as well, Bills Mafia. Let’s go Buffalo!

The 1pm truthers loved the drought days. No playoffs every year but dammit...the Bills were on at 1:00

If he got to play with Jim Kelly for 7 plus years when Kelly was prime

He would be a Hall of famer

Mo's talent was unreal.. rivaled only to Terrell Owens and Randy Moss back in the Day

It didn't really have to do with Kelly, he put up legit stats with Flutie and had his best seasons under Bledsoe. He just kinda lost a step sooner than expected. By 2005 which was his last year here, he was pretty much done

The NFL and NFLPA are fed up with Cole Beasley on his anti-vaccine stance. At this point, he is pretty much daring the Bills to cut him.  I happen to think there is more to his actions than a mere anti-vaccine stance. This has not been stated anywhere else but I think his 2021 compensation has a lot to do with it.

The guy was voted to the Second Team All-Pro and had the best stats of any  slot receiver in 2020. And he played the post-season on a cracked fibula.

His 2021 compensation is 5.8 mill in new cash with just 500K guaranteed. It is pretty low for a receiver go got ya nearly 1000 yards last year. The Bills signing an older and less productive (2020) receiver for 6 million must have been pretty brutal.

The more I think about it, he is not going to be back in a Bills uni without a fresh deal. And you know what - I think the guy deserves it! I think this whole anti-vaccine stance will be resolved quickly once Beane opens Da Bills' purse strings. So BOLO for a fresh deal for Beasley.

I don't think any of this. I think he is just vocal about his stance on it because players who don't want to get vaccinated are being grilled about it on a constant basis. Every press conference there's questions about it. The NFL also got extremely strict with ridiculous protocols for this season for unvaccinated players. It's just him venting if you ask me
