I wouldn't hate it but it looked to me like he lost a step last year. He isn't explosive which is the biggest element our offense is missing. If we're going to trade for that style of WR I would prefer DeAndre Hopkins, and it's already been reported that he is in fact available for trade.
You're being fooled. Did you see Tampa Bay's offense as a whole last year?

Past prime? 🤦♂️

He can definitely hit some home runs, has some wheels, and in a sort of "single game" mindset he is a definite impact player. However, if I side-by-side his numbers vs. singletary/cook - did he do anything better?
Barkley: 295/1312, 10 TDs, 4.4 YPC, 76/57 for 338 and 0 TDs.
Cook/Singletary: 266/1326, 7 TDs, 4.98 YPC, 84/59 for 460 and 2 TDs.
And yet, I'd still rather have a healthy Barkley lol

Bills' Josh Allen gives props to Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes: 'You gotta find ways to be like them'
I've heard this before from Beane and McDermott (and probably others) and now from Allen. We need to be like KC. We need to build the team to beat KC...
WRONG
Because I guarantee you that KC isnt trying to be like anyone else. They're simply trying to be the best team in the NFL regardless of what anyone else is doing.
THAT is what McBeane and Co. should be doing. Stop peeking over the fence and trying to copy another team and just go build the best team in the entire NFL. Go be that team that everyone wants to copy. Because by the time you see what they are doing, make the moves to copy them, and bring it to fruition... they are already 2 more steps ahead that you can't copy.
This is such a 2nd place mentality it makes me sick.
Well, the Chiefs are the best team in the NFL soooooo......every team wants to be like them

I've been a member of this community since the very beginning, in 2001.
Through the depths of the drought, I've never seen so much whining and anger and lashing out as what goes on daily on this board right now. Not everybody is guilty of this—there are a good number of eminently sane people who post here frequently—but the percentage of people acting like three-year-olds having temper tantrums is as high or higher than it has ever been.
I went away for the last weeks since the loss to the Bengals thinking that of course people are going to act out their disappointment; it's natural, I thought, let them get it out of their system. But it's as bad this morning as ever. I've tried blocking the worst offenders but the list would be too long to comprehend at this point. If the Bills were to take one fifth of the hysterical suggestions that are made every hour on this board, they would be out of the playoffs for the next twenty years.
I realize this is likely my problem, not yours. So I'm giving it a pass at least until the draft, and maybe until training camp.
I hope some of you will get out of the house now and then and breathe some fresh air.
I have never seen people bent out of shape or complain so much after wins for a team that has went 37-12 in the last 3 regular seasons. I have given my criticisms but people that want McDermott fired after 5 playoff appearances in the last 6 seasons following a 17 year playoff drought, 3 straight division titles, a championship game appearance. Yes, he has made questionable decisions. Yes, I think Frazier should be fired but I think I saw someone post on here right after the Bengals game saying we need to clean house. Some people whine and get carried away too much
-
I mean, the matchup kinda sucks. I will be watching but I honestly don't give a sh*t about either team. Maybe a lot of other people feel the same way

Exactly - he wanted some and she didn’t idk why this is a big deal I can’t stand him but if it was a 1-2 min convo in the lobby then this is dumb
These women at NFL network seem like women you wouldn't want to even start a conversation with. I wonder if it's the same woman that reported Warren Sapp, Ike Taylor and Heath Evans. Marshall Faulk and Michael Irvin have also both had "claims" against them also. You never hear about any of this at ESPN. Do they just have better men working there? Or just less uptight women?

Out 12 games? Lol, that's more missed games than he's had in the last 6 seasons combined. That being said, a hard pass on Keenan, we don't need more old players. We need to get players who are younger and cheaper.
He missed 7 with a hamstring last year. It was definitely sarcastic lol
-
Let's get him. He can play 2 snaps the opening game, tear a hammy and a be out 12 weeks. Let's Goooo
3 hours ago, Lieutenant Aldo Raine said:Here are his stats for reference from https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AlleKe00.htm. Yes his hamstring caused missed games this year, but he was on pace for a Pro Bowl type year based on his 2017-2021 run. Again, not advocating one way or the other, just putting information out there if we are seeking an alternative to a WR opposite of Diggs. Allen is a known as one of the best route runners in the NFL and would help reduce double teaming of Diggs.
I didn't realize he had 66 catches and he missed like 8 weeks

Save your pennies until the Bills next divisional round playoff exit. And then buy lots of beer with it

Full disclosure. I've been a Bills fan since 1965 so I'm obviously biased about this because if it somehow came to pass it would benefit the Bills enormously. That said, QB compensation in the NFL and how it distorts the salary cap is, if not unfair, frankly bizarre and unlike any other sport that maintains a salary cap. That's because QB compensation is so dramatically higher than any other position. That's not true in basketball or hockey. Yes, you pay your superstars but McDavid isn't making double or triple every single one of his teammates.
You're punished for selecting a QB who turns into a franchise QB. That's if you do it right. Heaven help you if you pay a QB that lands you in cap purgatory (Prescott, Cousins) or, even worse, one that lands you in cap hell (Wilson).
A carve out probably lets the Raiders keep Carr. I don't know what the solution is but you shouldn't have to gut your team because you found your franchise quarterback.
I do think there should be a cap on how much a player makes based on position. They are talking about Burrow getting $50 million a year which is beyond insane for any one player. WRs are starting to work their way to $30 million a year. It's getting out of hand. Teams are gonna cap strapping their teams with 2 or 3 players. That shouldn't happen

You would be over the moon if we got him, be honest haha. He might fail and I think McDermott is a really good coach. But an off season of Payton working with Josh would have been amazing.
I agree to a point. But was he the only one frustrated with losing? Why can the other players act like pros while he stomps off like a little kid?
ultimately, it’s fine. But wrs are so annoying at times.
I would not be "over the moon" or doing cartwheels. Don't be trying to think you know I would feel that way. I would think he was overrated because he is. I would rather trade for Andy Reid or Sean McVay or something than Payton

We'll, Payton's off to Denver, so it's all academic anyway. (Not that he was ever coming here since we aren't moving on from McD). Let's hope we fix the issues on the roster.
I didn't want Payton to come here anyway. I always thought he was kinda overrated

That's why I said he's a top 5 all time coach, never said he was "mediocre". I agree his constant switching spots may have contributed, but the point is everyone thought bringing him in would equal SB win (much like some seem to think w/ Payton) & it didn't. & The fact that Payton isn't as good only makes my argument that bringing him in will not automatically equate to a SB ring that much more compelling.
It doesn't make your argument if you're comparing him to Parcells lol. Everything else, I can understand

He never won a Superbowl after he left the Giants. Sure, he improved teams & got them to the post season, but McD does that now. We're talking about upgrading not to reach the SB, but to win it, which Parcells (who's a top 5 all time great) never did. That's what I believe you'll get w/ Sean Payton, a great coach who won't get us a ring.
Yes, never won a Super Bowl but that's kinda hard considering he quit every team within 3 to 4 years after he left the Giants. He would turn a franchise around and then leave. He's not a mediocre coach and he did well with every team he was a part of. He's a HOF coach and an all time great. Payton is nowhere near that and there should be no comparison. Not even the "poor man's" argument

No!! Coached one of the best QBs & a good roster for 15 years & got 1 SB appearance/win in his 3rd season, other 14 years were the same as what we have now. He's not an upgrade & that's an expensive price to pay to get a poorer version of Bill Parcells post Giants coaching.
Bill Parcells was still good after the Giants. Took the Patriots ro a Super Bowl. Turn around a 1-15 Jets team and took them to the Championship game 2 years later and then went to Dallas and made them a playoff team with Quincy freaking Carter at QB his first year after they did nothing for multiple years prior. You make it sound like Parcells was only mediocre after his Giants career. He was still very good and one of the best in the game and all time

It makes Beane look bad that he's paying a franchise QB big money like everyone does?

Whether he is here next year or not, the guy has had 7 concussions, and we haven't drafted a center since Eric Woods. I know LG, RG and RT are positions that get talked about as far as upgrading. But Center has to be a high priority

Who would you sign out of these top 51 free agents. I think for OL we could look at Mike McGlinchey. I also wouldn't mind Chauncey Gardner Johnson from the Eagles as safety. He plays the same position in the same type of defense we do so he would be a perfect replacement for poyer. He's also only 25. Who would you all be interested in?

What is the one, most important move the Bills should make this off-season?

Nothing is gonna win us a Super Bowl. No matter what coach we have, the Bills will not win anything. It's just not gonna happen. Allen will be Marino minus the one Super Bowl appearance he had. We are a cursed franchise. I'll always watch, but understand the reality
