  1. That's not true. The Bengals won a bunch of games without Burrow last season cause of the talent around him.
  2. He's built a good regular season team but still hasn't found many elite playmakers that put them over the top. Compared to the drought years this is much better.
  3. After 20 years of nothing, I guess division titles are a success. Regular season success means little in the long run. As I posted in another thread outside of Allen, this team lacks a lot of elite talent. That's on Beane. Both are like the Bills. Great regular season teams but can't get over the hump in the playoffs.
  4. It also shows why this team struggles in the playoffs. They don't have the talent to win against the better teams when it matters.
  5. It maybe a steep price but if they end up winning a Superbowl or making it there it's worth it. Their QB is still on his rookie deal, that's the best time to go all in.
  6. Maybe that's the best those guys can do. As good as Allen is, he can only make a bunch of JAGs look so good. Outside of Diggs, the guys on offense aren't that great. Same with defense, as a group they are good but have very few playmakers. Take Allen off this team and they're probably are .500 at best. Look at Cincinnati, Burrow goes down and their backup still won a bunch of games cause of the talent around him.
  7. Could they draft Diggs replacement yeah sure. They will be better than right now but I don't see where they improve significantly. They have no cap room to go out and get a Higgins or high end guy.
  8. I'm not a Houston fan at all. I'm just tired of every time a guy leaves the fanbase turns on them and calls the team the go to crap.
  9. It doesn't look a lot better. This WR group is a lot worse now. I hope Diggs not only excels in Houston but they go to the Super Bowl. It's only cause of fans like you and others that always turn on a guy as soon as he leaves town.
  10. I'm sure they will sellout the first few seasons as long as they are good. I have my doubts about wait lists and enough PSLs filling the stadium. Yeah that's what is happening now but that's with lower average ticket prices and no PSLs.
  11. I'm sure he will be on his best behavior the first season. If they get to a Super Bowl or win it this season with him a loss of a 2nd round pick would be worth it.
  12. No but he does make the receiving group much better than it was before. Honestly I hope he excels.
  13. The stadium stuff has never been that bad. It's the tailgating antics that are the problem. Table slamming, covering themselves with condiments and drunkenness. Maybe with upping the cost of tickets that will end.
  14. I can cause Houston is going all in to win this year.
  15. I never said anything about money and not being a real fan. My point was a response to another poster saying they put the prices high to go after a more corporate ticket holder.
  16. It has nothing to do with corporate fans. The best teams have elite playmakers.
  17. I could care less about work ethic. Elite playmakers are more important and right now they don't have many. You need playmakers to win when it matters. Look at KC last year, they had Kelce for offense but their defense had many playmakers. Compare that to the Bills who have a bunch of good players that bring their lunch pail to work. They play good together as a team but when it matters don't have guys that are game breakers.
  18. Good WRs but not likely to replace the numbers WR1 or WR2 put up last season. While I do agree Diggs has to go, they left themselves with JAGs at WR. They have Kincaid and whoever they draft this season that have high potential. Til they reach that, the offense is setup similar to the defense. Outside Allen, it's a bunch of good players but no elite playmakers. Same as the defense. They have Milano, the rest are good together but no playmakers. It's been that way with this regime. They like their plug and play system. Which works great in the regular season but fails in the playoffs. The teams that win have playmakers on offense and defense.
  19. Just like the rest of his teammates.
  20. Never said that. I'm not upset at all. I'm also not expecting much next season. I'm expecting the team to take step back. Relying on rookie WR isn't the answer either.
  21. Then there are those who think the PSLs are going to drop to $1000 to $2000 a seat at the low end. Face it the plebs will no longer be able to afford to go.
  22. Boo hoo they have no money to add a legit WR. Relying on a rookie is not the answer.
  23. As I posted earlier, this has been going on for more than just this season. They knew there was going to be problems. Why give him a new 4 year contract and rework it only to move him a year into said contract. As well as add in dead cap. Why not move on from him before all of this?
