Ok, what is the connection with Utah? Beane seems to be really focused there. Kincaid, Bishop, and now this guy. Zach Moss from a few years ago.
Or it could be a coincidence, I suppose.

I think the team will be just as good, if not better, than last year. Last year we had all the names, but they were all injured (Milano, White, Jones, etc.) or just lacking productivity for various reasons (Diggs, Davis, Miller, Poyer, Hyde, etc.).
So, on paper we are worse, but given that all those veterans were not contributing last year, we're actually better this year. I think much better.
So no, I'm not tempering my expectations or bracing for a down year. The Bills are going to contend for the AFC East and make the playoffs. They have as good of a shot this year of making the superbowl as last year, given the injuries and nuances that the team faced last year, including a mid-year coordinator change.

Even today? You choose Samuel, Shakir and Coleman over Rice, Worthy and Hollywood? Close one for me but I’d go chiefs
Yes, and it isn't even close.

Chiefs for sure.

That’s what most of the people In support of the Coleman pick have been saying on every part of the internet. That it’s just a test in gym shorts. That the real metric is game speed.
The truth is somewhere in the middle of those two extremes.

If post-draft discussion and speculation aren't encouraged, then we might as well close up this message board.
That's what I'm doing. I'm discussing people's lack of knowledge and speculating that they know nothing about these players.

I thought 40 times weren’t relevant and that game speed is what mattered? His game speed looks slow to me still after rewatching that video.Who said 40 times aren't relevant? They are. They just aren't everything.

Stupid as hell. This roster won't have 5th and 6th rounders on it.
Inb4 _______ was a 6th rounder.

You guys are insufferable. We get it. You hate everything. Get a life.

Coleman is much more like Gabe Davis, but with much better hands and better route running. And a higher upside.

Better make it a triple.

Agreed......this has been an excellent draft for us so far and it's a shame that more fans can't see that.
Many Bills fans just have a default position of angst when it comes to draft picks. Almost none of them actually know what they are talking about. They think looking at a few mock drafts and watching a handful of college games over the season makes them experts.

Not a fan of the zero. Unless it was a double zero. That would look cool.

I know criticism of picks is frowned upon, but, he looks slow? Am I seeing things incorrectly, or does he not have top end speed and is he slow to the hole? Hes got a nice first cut and evades tackles with his balance, but he just looks slow.
He runs a 4.52 which is fine for a running back.

I mean Beane loves his mid round RBs.
Seems like a decent enough player but really is there any difference between what you can get in round 4 and round 6 or 7 these days? They are a dime a dozen.
Don't hate the player but hate the position and the Bills insistence on using mid round picks on RBs.
Go look at the success rate of players drafted in the 4th round versus the later rounds. There is a huge difference.
So, I think this is a bad take.
This is from the drafts since 2018, and they didn't even bother doing the 6th and 7th rounds, but there is a drop off in each round, except 4th which happens to be better than the 3rd (just a small sample size bias):
1st Round: 34/60, hit rate of 56%
2nd Round: 20/60, hit rate of 33.3%
3rd Round: 12/60, hit rate of 20%
4th Round: 17/60, hit rate of 28.3%
5th Round: 9/60, hit rate of 15%

Good, detailed video on Coleman. They bring up a proprietary PFF game speed metric that he scored in the 93rd percentile, so apparently he plays a lot faster than his 40 time suggests? That's what I took from that at least.

Apparently Coleman is the receiver Allen wanted, so Allen is probably happy.

Don't understand why every is throwing a tantrum about the Bills having multiple 5th round picks. Have the Bills ever drafted anyone in the 5th round who went on to make a difference, or not?
For myself, the players I like start dwindling around 110ish but I'll be watching to see which of those guys are available to the Bills for those 141/144/160/163 picks. And then throwing my own tantrum when they take someone completely off the board.
Matt Milano. Khalil Shakir. Siran Neal. Even Kyle Williams was a 5th rounder...

In hindsight, would have preferred DeJean and the Franklin here, but 🤷🏻♂️
DeJean was taken already, wasn't he?

McDermott starts rookies all the time. He just didn't with Elam.

Don't like it. Doesn't separate. When they put up Mike Williams as a pro comp that says it all. Non-separator.
DJ said Big Slot as well. That is ultimately where I think he makes his money.
Mike Williams is a good receiver, though.

Get a couple of bad concussions like Tua and they might feel differently. The damage from collision is also cumulative
All of them have had concussions. You can't play in high school and college and then the NFL without ever having a concussion. They know the risks but they still choose looks over safety, often.
But there may be a few who do it. Honestly, defensive linemen should all wear them because they help block the view of the QB, so it is a small competitive advantage.

They don't seem well behind to me, especially after they add a promising rookie.

I'm not upset. I'm excited for guys like Shakir and Samuel to step up. And Coleman to come in and grow playing with Allen.
There will be some growing pains, but I really like Shakir and Samuel. And Coleman is an upgrade over Davis, in my opinion. We don't have a superstar receiver, which means Allen will deliver the ball wherever he sees fit without having to worry about a Diva.
We don't have to throw screens to Diggs anymore. Samuel should be way better suited for that.
Oh, and Kincaid is easily positioned now as the #1 weapon. He should have a monster year and take his place as an elite TE in the NFL. I'm excited.
