  1. If he doesn't go 10/20 90 yds 0 td 1 int, I want to see him back next year!
  2. Douggie was a good coach in a tough spot. He had a clause in his contract that paid him good money if there was an ownership change. He and Whaley weren't seeing eye to eye at the time because Whaley was trying to shove EJ Manuel down his throat. He had overachieved the year before and he wanted out before Whaley and EJ ruined his career.. Can you really blame him for not wanting to hitch his wagon to EJ Manuel and Doug Whaley?
  3. I don't think you need to be a first ballot HOFer to be 10 top in passing.. Guys like Newton, Dalton, Ryan, Rivers, Goff, Wilson, Garoppolo, and even Carr and Cousins are all capable of leading the league in either of those metrics, and could be considered "franchise" QBs. Throw in guys like Wentz, Prescott, and Watson, and you'll realize about 15 teams are poised to sink or swim depending on how well their QB plays. The other teams are building strong defenses and run games in order to accumulate wins while trying to find their guy. If Josh can win a playoff game or two (or Super Bowl), and improve next year, I'd be ready to anoint him as the "franchise" QB. The reality is he went from below average QB with potential to average QB with potential. Lets hope that he doesn't regress next year and leaves the Bills in QB limbo for another decade (or two).
  4. I'm pretty sure the majority of realistic posters on the board were calling for Zay and Peterman's heads long before they were cut. The ones who weren't are already fitting Josh Allen for his gold jacket..
  5. Because as good as they are at evaluating defensive talent, they are just as bad at evaluating offensive talent.
  6. The same coaches that trotted our Nathan Peterman and Zay Jones as our #1 QB and WR?
  7. The coaches get to see these guys play in practice, and the coaches suck at evaluating how good a WR based off his play in practice.
  8. Tyrod took a worse team to the playoffs. In pretty much the same manner. Stout defense, strong run game, and conservative offensive play calling (less than 25 passes a game) with a QB who can pick up first downs with his legs. Don't get me wrong, I like Josh Allen, but so far I see an average QB. An average QB with potential, but I thought (and I wasn't alone) that Tyrod had potential as well. My concern with Allen is that he is going to do just enough for the front office to keep him around like Tyrod and Fitz, while never taking the next step and becoming a true franchise QB. This team has the wins, but if we're being honest they are not because Allen has played "great". I want Allen to succeed, but I haven't seen anything that would stop me from drafting a mid-round QB this year.
  9. So all those times I partied like it was 1999 were for nought?
  10. He has played well enough to be the starting QB for the Buffalo Bills next year. But... I'd be hard pressed to call him a "successful" NFL starter. Why? Because he is on a team with a dominate defense and is just barely doing enough to get into the playoffs with a pretty favorable schedule. Tyrod or Fitz could've easily led this team to the playoffs this year and they're only considered "successful" backups.
  11. Duke was very productive with his limited chances, so it was surprising to me that he wasn't given more. I get that the coaches see these guys in practice every day, but if we were building rosters based on player performance in practice Peterman would still be our QB and Zay Jones our #1 receiver. I really hope Duke puts something together tomorrow so we can see him active in the playoffs.
  12. Watch The Last Boy Scout. The whole movie was about Jerry Jones paying off the senators to allow for legalized gambling... He may have been crying after the game but I bet it was tears of joy because he won a bunch of money betting against his own team.
