I agree with this. AJE will not be cut. Though if someone offered them good value in a trade you never know It wouldn't shock me to see Jones and /Miller retire. But I don't see either back next year. Other spots on defense: I don't think Douglas is back. Elam is a possible cut/trade candidate in his final year, but they may just keep him at his relatively cheap rate. Milano is definitely back as it costs more to cut him then just keep him.

Dolphins won the off-season again. Their fans were so stoked to sign Odell and Poyer. "Because I've heard of them" rarely plays out well with aging vets.

In fairness, the Rams are probably still exhausted from running up and down the field all day last week
-
They gave Cook a paltry 6 carries the whole game. No carries for Davis. No carries for Johnson. They quit the run game way too fast other than Allen who ran 10 times.

Week 15, Bills v. Lions, PREDICT THE SCORE!
BuffaloBillyG replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Had this game marked as a loss before the season started. Last week made me think Detroit could hang 60 on us this week. Which means to me, low scoring Bills win.... somehow. Bills 26 Lions- 23 -
I agree, however in the last few seasons we have seen teams waiting for "their guy". Indy and Arizona just a couple years ago spring to mind waiting for Philly to be done. So if a team can identify Johnson as their guy and Johnson is 100% on board... they'll wait IMO. The reason I think he stays in Detroit if they fall short has been that having unfinished business with the Lions has been a reason he's given publicly when he pulls his name out. Kind of the mentality they have in Detroit right now.

And that will depend heavily on what he thinks of Williams. Something tells me as well with the Lions, Packers and Vikings all playing well....he may not want to stay in division either. Much tougher road than if he went to the AFCS for example. I do expect there to be an unexpected opening for two when it's all said and done. And of course, if no perfect fit happens I expect him back with Detroit... especially if they fall short of the Super Bowl again.

Let's not act like we haven't been playing good defense at times and winning football with him in the line up. Prime Hyde wouldn't have made much difference last Sunday. I strongly disagree with it being as simple as "misdirection" that tore the Bills up. They have no issues with it when they play Miami twice a year. The big issue was matchup. The Bills play a lot of zone and the Rams top two WRs are zone destroyers. As long as their line protected well (they did) and Stafford was sharp (he was) the matchup was about as bad from a personally standpoint as you can draw up. Hyde standing in the secondary doesn't change that

And at this point of his career I think that is a mistake.

Poyer was indeed terrible blast year and is incredibly unpopular with Dolfans because bof his continued poor play this year. That much I agree with Yes, Hyde plays smart. And experience is a valuable asset. But once the ball is snapped you need physical tools to cover a player or the speed to get to your spot in the zone in time. He didn't have that last year. I doubt being a year older has improved that. He can still have value. But I think his best value is teaching players like Hamlin and Cine and Bishop some tricks of the trade rather then pushing them back to the bench.
-
Hyde couldn't cover anyone last year. He would have been an even bigger liability yesterday. Older and slower isn't what this defense needs
-
Individual probability is not 80%. Show me where you get that figure. And as of a few weeks ago, the success rate was 30% this year on 2 point conversions NFL wide. You are inventing numbers. Inventing a narrative. At this point I'm going to disengage because your whole argument is based on made up facts and bull####.

Where was the defensive adjustment on Puka Nakua?
BuffaloBillyG replied to 26TrapDraw's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we were hoping in the spirit of the holiday season Puka would take the 4th quarter off and stop the public abuse of our defense. He did not. -
Fire McD and Hire Belichek after we lose AGAIN in the playoffs
BuffaloBillyG replied to JPL7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do people think he just comes in and keeps the same coaching/players and just runs it back? Say hello to Matt Patricia running the offense. Maybe he brings his idiot son to run STs or something. -
You set the likelihood of converting 3-4 straight 2 point conversions in the same game...at 80%????😂😂😂 League wide the success rate is about 30 percent. And that's just on one...not 3 or 4 straight.
-
And the broadcast showed league wise the onside kick conversion rate was 7.7%.
