Agree with that 99.9% of the time. But we do live in a world with Watson and Hill and I'm sorry, I am a flawed human that would love to see the "uppence" come for guys like that. As far as Achane, he's a real good player. Not sure if he's big enough to last long, though.

Saw a ton of Dolphin fans making fun of and celebrating the Milano injury yesterday. Could be nothing...could be Karma. Either way, I'll take the high road here, but this could be a big loss for them. Either way, hope the kid is ok. Yes, he's on a rival team, but man is he fun to watch.

Last seasons Super Bowl Champions were 3-2 after 5 weeks. Lots of ball left to play. Coming up with conclusions after week 5 is an exercise in failure.

Snap Counts from Jags game-Von 20 snaps

So, you have no answers and have no idea what the coaches or Von saw that made that game the comeback time. Got it. -
Snap Counts from Jags game-Von 20 snaps
BuffaloBillyG replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
So, he should have used the next game as a walk through to do nothing? Questions...how was he moving in practices last week? Was he tentative? Moving fluidly? Did he report any discomfort or pain after practice? How did the any re-evals on the knee look? Did the do re-evals? What his mindset about contact and where he's at mentally for game situations? I mean, since you seem to know what's what and you recognized things in 20 snaps and all. Please expound. -
Well, he knows all that from 2 years ago. Is Josh the same exact product he was then? I don't think so. I think the bigger hurdle is Martindale is a good DC and will have a good plan in place. However, I don't thing they have the talent that they need to pull it off, much like yesterday for the New Jersey Football Giant Buffalos

I mean, it works both ways. McDermott obviously may know some of Daboll's tendencies, tips and thought process as well. It's the classic "I know that you know that I know that you know that I know" situation.

Could be game plan specific. Could be that he's just not earning the trust of QB1 and the coaches. But it seems that Kincaid was giving opportunity and is seeing his workload lightened. He's still a huge work in progress.

NY Radio Host doesn’t hold back on Evan Neal
BuffaloBillyG replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm sure this will mend fences. Seriously, of Daboll trots him out next week against our DL he needs to be fired on the spot for malpractice. Between this play and the one where he pushed Waller off the block and got Jones crushed last week I have to ask...is this dude throwing games? Legally blind? Just plain old dumb? -
Jet Lag Or Just Another Slumbering Loss?
BuffaloBillyG replied to pocoboy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Then you're just "built different" I suppose. Taking it from someone that was actually on the field; in the post game interview Travis ETN talked about the difference in how he felt last week vs this week with the jet lag. Said it was a HUGE impact. I believe it. Last week both the Falcons and Jags looked awful as well. -
Snap Counts from Jags game-Von 20 snaps
BuffaloBillyG replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought I saw that as well. I'm sure a few snaps were there. The Bills D also plays mind tricks (on me at least) because both Floyd and Miller play DE in a 2 point stance. Gives the look that the DT on that side is at DE. *** EDIT Just did the math. Miller, Floyd, AJE and Johnathan accounted for 151 snaps...I assume all at DE. With 88 plays run that would be 176 total DE snaps. So, yea Vickers getting 46 would (again assumption here) likely account for the rest with a 25 @ DE and 21 @ DT type split. -
Von was in on 20 of 88 defensive snaps. That's about 23% snap count in game one. Providing there were nothing was aggravated or he's not set back....I'm thinking he's closer to 50% next week.

Vickers goes from PS to out snapping Settle and Phillips. Dodson way more snaps that Dorian Williams (seems like I saw Williams way more). Rapp didn't see a snap. Feels like this game should have seen less Cook and more Harris/Murray as well.

Sam Darnold is basically a more likeable version of Mac Jones.

Tony Pollard is better as a committee back. He's had a few good plays this year, just had one.... but he's not the same threat he was last year. Kind of makes me think James Cook would be more effective in a "Tony Pollard" role from the last couple seasons. Put Murray or Harris in the 1A role to Cooks 1B and I think it helps.

We lost and that sucks. But seeing the Patriots get shut out at home and watching the Cowboys get absolutely rammed dry tonight is lifting my spirits a bit.

I wasn't keyed on him all that much today, but from what I do see of him Spencer Brown wasn't terrible. Held his own more than not. And yes, I would say McDermott had another solid day as the DC considering what we came into the game missing and what we lost along the way. Jags broke out late, but by that time they were pretty exhausted.

Like to see more of Harris and Murray early

A tale of 2 offenses. Early on the Bills struggled to run the ball. The Jags struggled to run inside...even after Jones went out. The Bills chose to abandon the run. There were 10 called running plays to the backs all day. And some of those were audibles. Tried mostly draws...very little under center and almost no misdirection. End result? Buffalo became 1 dimensional. Not much under center as they refused to stick with the run and that would make play action a moot point. No one was afraid of it. Allowed Jacksonville to key in on pass and pass rush. The Jags kept at it. Tried different ways to run until they found what worked. Wore down the defense and made them play the run. End result? ETN with a 35 yards TD run up the middle to basically seal the game. Running the ball needs to be an attitude. If it's not working Dorsey needs to keep working it. The offense is much more dangerous when the run threat is there. -
In a perfect world, getting another weapon would be right. But you really think anyone coming in would actually see usage? Seems our offense is wayyyyyyy too complex for that. Hines, Kincaid, Harty, Sherfield...all targets that came in new and can't seem to be trusted to see much in the way of targets or playtime over the past 2 years. Dorsey doesn't know how to use the players he has. Jeudy would be "learning the playbook" until next year. I know they are division rivals...but I actually pulled for the Jets here. Don't like Payton and while what he said about Hackett may be true (and I don't even like Hackett) I wanted to see Payton put in his place.

I drive back to Brockport, so pretty much the same. Night games I always just take the next day off and crash at a hotel. Getting too old and cranky to deal with the night time traffic for that long😂

MJD is a dickwaffle.

I know we pretty much universally say we shouldn't wish injury on players. But what about other posters? That's kosher, right?
