Devin Singletary who we had in on a visit.
-
I like the pick. Run on lineman now. And if you don't get your lineman this year you could be out of luck.
-
He might not last until that spot.
Cards, Colts, 49ers, Seahawks, and Jags could all be in play for him or AJ Brown. I'm thinking the Colts go with Greedy or Murphy though. Cards could do the same.

Would really like for the Bills to walk away with three picks today. My perfect scenario would be:
Metcalf
Ferguson
Sumia, Nate Davis or Josh Oliver

I'm very happy with this pick. Honestly, I didn't think he would be there. I felt like he was their #1 all along but I didn't think he would be there.

Have a feeling he isn’t going anywhere
Yeah but they screwed themselves on this because teams know you need to get rid of him. So they'll just wait it out until the player becomes a problem for the Cards.

Do they want a rookie HC dealing with the bull of two young 1st round QBs in the same room? Of course not. Maybe the market for Rosen is soft, but I guarantee there's still a market. This trade needs to happen asap or Keim is actively hurting his team.
This is true. Keim is the dummy here. The other owners know you need to get rid of Rosen so they'll just wait until Rosen becomes a headache and problem for the Cards. Get what you can right now or else you'll be desperate to ditch him for a mere 4th.

If they don't take DK at 40 I think they'll go:
1. Risner
2. Ferguson
3. JoeJuan Williams
4. Byron Murphy
I'm leaning more toward those first two. Ford is also another option. With so much talent left on the board, here's what I would like to see.
DK is on the board at 40 and we take him there. Then we use some of the extra ammo and get back into the 2nd and take Ferguson for Edge or Risner or Ford if they are still around.

If bosa is 2 I don’t think jets take williams. Then he’s probably falling past the raiders and bucs and then you hope the giants go qb and then we have a shot at him.
Doubtful the Raiders would pass.

My skepticism is high on this one...Jets would want a lot and I don't see Beane wanting to give them all those assets with them on a similar stage of a rebuild.
Quennin is the one guy though I think I can see Beane trading up for.
Personally I think Quennin will be gone by pick 3.
I think the Cards will pass on Murray and take him #1.

Just saw this dumb tweet by LaConjecture.

I'd say there are going to be a lot of OL that go early because it's top heavy and next year's class of OL is not anything special at all.
-
Another reason to not go. Also, they were already having road closures this morning for draft related stuff.

Final prediction:
Ed Oliver
if if he’s not there- Christian Wilkins
if trade down - DK Metcalf
I really wish we could land both Wilkins and Metcalf.

I have a source telling me
Taylor, Oliver, Wilkins, or Gary
Depending on who remains
Take it for what it’s worth but source has been dead on the past few years
Why Gary when he really can't give you everything he's got because of the injury. Taylor, Oliver at 9 and Wilkins in a trade into the teens I can see. But if they take Gary at 9 I'm gonna be mad. He really can't play to full potential right now. It would be Shaq's rookie year all over again.

Plug and play at which position? I would not hate that pick, but would not be very excited about it, either. Can he play OT in the NFL with his lack of power and shorter arms? Can he even be a very good OG at 301lbs? Likely can be an excellent C, but Bills just paid big $ for Morse.
I just think that's something they will worry about after. He has flexibility IMO. Like you, I would not be very excited about the pick, but I wouldn't hate it as I would understand why. As for his weaknesses, I just think you plug him in and see if the prognosticators are right.
-
I'm going to say Jonah Williams will be the pick. He's plug and play and knows the offense. But if we trade into the teens with another team, I think Metcalf is the guy.

I like the emphasis on trades. I do think there will be at least 5 to six trades tomorrow night. I like DK there, I'd probably go with Sweat or Risner instead of Lawrence though. It's not that Lawrence is a bad prospect, I'm just thinking about fit. I know he can play Nose and 1 tech, but does he have a lot of 3 tech experience, which is really what we need. I have those same questions about Saunders who I really like, but I haven't seen him play a lot of 3 tech on tape, like Lawrence he's nose and 1 tech.

Just curious, could their window be closing? Thus they're wanting to move up drastically?
I think that's the gist of it. They think they have most of the pieces and are only a couple of players away from being back in it. I don't necessarily agree but that's them and their fanbase.
-
I have a friend that's a big Falcon's fan and he believes they are selling the farm to move up for Oliver.

I think one of the more notable reasons why TE's do not develop as quickly is because most teams just don't have great TE coaches and the TE's get enveloped in with the WR's a lot. It's just not like a lot of other positions. Generally, when it comes to OL you have a positional coach who has played the position and know about it and you can go down the line with every position like this except for TE. For example, and when I say this I'm not saying Greg didn't have anything valuable, but Greg Roman was the TE coach for the Ravens last year. We know Greg. Most teams have someone similar coaching TE's.

Ohhh great. The Music City Marathon is this weekend also and they normally close off roads for it. Yeah, I'm staying as far away from Broadway as possible. You have about 20, 000 for the Jimmy Buffett concert, the Flea Market is always packed with up to 15 to 20 k people. This is going to be wild.

I'll have to look at what the Chiefs gave up again. Did they just give up more for Clark than the Bears gave up last year for Mack?

Why not just keep Ford?
Exactly. To me they got fleeced. Clark is good, but he doesn't offer this much more than Ford.

Not anymore. Does that make it a little less crowded?
It helps but only by a little. But it's still going to be crazy down Broadway. There's always a lot of people even when there is no Preds game. You still have the Comedy showcase downtown this weekend along with the Music and Food fest. There will be a lot of people for Food fest.
