  1. There’s no way any GM worth their salt takes a RB2 in RD4 over WR help because “other needs took precedent”.

He can say whatever he wants.

id be SHOCKED if we don’t sign a FA or trade for a player at some point.

Even if he likes what Shorter and Shavers are showing them behind the scenes, it would be absurd to not draft another WR for competition at WR5 or WR6 given the fact both of them have shown zero in an actual game yet.

We seemed to be actively avoiding WR…

    RB2 in RD4.  LB6 in RD5.  Come on…

  2. Y’all are way too down on this roster…

(I say this under the belief we add/trade for another legit WR)

    Elite QB

    Good OL

    Good RB’s

    Good TE’s

    (TBD) WR Room

    Strong DT Rotation

    Von-Dependent DE Rotation

    Good LB’s

    Good CB’s

    Solid Vet Safeties + Bishop

  3. This team is one quality WR and quality DE away from me thinking we got better from last season (while getting younger and building up cap space & draft picks in ‘25).

Feels like we can/will definitely do one of those things when the post 6/1 money frees up.

Can they do both?  Or maybe Solomon truly is a Bryce Huff player and Toohill/Jonathan battle it out for DE4, while Solomon is DE5/Designated Pass Rusher.

But we pretty clearly are missing a WR on the roster right now. Coleman replaces Davis, Samuel replaces Harty, Hollins replaces Sherfield. There's one glaring replacement still missing. And I'm not saying I expect any rookie WR we add to match Diggs, but objectively there is a gaping hole on the roster there.

This off-season/draft (so far) is a home run if we still had Diggs in his prime.

Im not saying we need Diggs in his prime, but we’re clearly missing one more bigger investment at WR.

I somewhat expect us to use the post 6/1 money on another mercenary pass rusher, which if we take a depth corner at some point today, rounds out a really strong roster.

But, as you point out, there’s a gaping hole in our WR room.  I don’t think we need an Aiyuk, but we need something better than Mack Hollins at WR4.

  5. What a weird draft.

    Not bad.. just weird.

Everything we’re doing makes complete sense.  We’ve added 3 potential starters at WR, S and C, along with a rotational DT and RB.

Just very business like.  Nothing aggressive.  No real gambles.  Not much boom or bust.. just good players at positions of need, yet nothing that really moves the needle when it comes to Josh trying to slay Mahomes, while fighting off other teams like HOU, NYJ and BAL.

did we not draft a WR with our first pick? Any WR you draft here is going to be #4 on the depth chart best case scenario and the #6 or #7 option in the passing game.

I expect they might take a late round flier on a guy, but if they don't there are plenty of FAs available if they decide we need a player there (i don't think we do though.

    Mack Hollins is our WR4

Weve got people asking “what happens if Cook gets hurt” when we just had Allen throwing to IDGAF Diggs and JAG Sherfield in the Playoffs.

  7. This is the most “meh, ok” draft I can remember in a while.

I get what they’re doing.  Every pick makes sense.  It’s just plugging holes with good players.

Good players haven’t been the issue.

Was probably a dream to think they would find a way to get better this off-season.

Very stagnant roster construction so far, while the Jets (by default), Chiefs, Ravens and Texans all got better.
