They should celebrate. Good for them.. that’s a huge win for their season and what it could mean long term with Tua (perhaps) being the guy. That being said… the Ravens don’t have a pass rush and their secondary was decimated. Good win. Context matters. People need to stop degrading the win and overreacting to the win. It’s a good win. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Better to know now what this Offense looks like without one of the two main outside WR’s than late in the season. Sounds like Davis will be fine long term, but likely isn’t playing on MNF. Very interested to see how they respond to the biggest off-season criticism of their roster building (outside WR depth). As someone who has been critical of the lack of depth, I’m expecting to be proven wrong and the offense will still be explosive and dynamic. …. that said, I’d rather it not be due to them overworking Diggs.

My guess would be a call up of Bryant and then activating Shaq Lawson to rotate inside on passing downs.

Defense is a monster when fresh, but for all their top tier defensive talent, where’s the depth?… because they were gassed in that second half. On offense, Keenan Allen obviously makes them better than what we saw, but they rely so much on jump balls down the field and check downs to Ekeler. Herbert is good, but he is way less athletic than I thought. He just stands in the pocket getting rocked.

This was the first time I’ve really watched Herbert. I’ll check in on games here and there, but being on the West Coast, and not a premier team, I haven’t really seen a ton of him. Just based off that one game… He’s a poor man’s Josh Allen, if JA was hesitant/incapable of running. Strong arm, can make all the throws. Big prototype looking QB. Stands in and makes throws in the face of pressure. His decision making, reading of defense seems to be a level below the elites and he throws check downs and jump balls FREQUENTLY (although that may also be a function of the offense w their WR’s). He’s a top tier QB, but there is clear separation between Allen/Mahomes and Herbert/Burrow.

Allen had the only questionable pass he threw all game intercepted. And then he also had a perfectly fine throw picked off when McKenzie spazzed. If not for the McKenzie mistake, we put that game away early. Mahomes was fine. I didn’t think he was great. He got rattled by the pass rush, just like the Cinci game, until the Chargers got tired and apparently have no depth on the DL. Every questionable throw he made, he was bailed out on… Threw a deep pick and was bailed out by a bogus PI. Threw another pick.. bailed out by a penalty. Threw a pick in the end zone, dropped. Threw yet another pick and was bailed out by Samuel putting on a juggling act and then inexplicably being overturned on replay. He also made plays … yes, if you continue to bail out Mahomes and give him opportunities, he will take advantage.

Good point made on GMFB. Chargers didn’t just fade against the Chiefs, they did the same thing last week against the Raiders. We have our own demon to erase in 13 seconds against KC in the playoffs, but that was a one off… LAC just fades down the stretch as an identity. They fade at the end of seasons, and through two games this year.. have faded down the stretch of actual games. Talented team, but they just come across as frauds. Wear down their elite level starters throughout the course of a game/season and they seem to have no heart or depth.

Haaaaaa, ok. Not at all comparable. Bills dominated and turnovers kept Rams in it for a half. Chiefs struggled and it took a turnover & overturn of a turnover to decide the game.

That was not a good game, and I refuse to let the postgame analysts lie to me about this.

The forced enthusiasm from Michaels and Herbstreit….

I’m not a fan AT ALL of Allen running as much as he does at times.. however, it’s disingenuous to not point out that he rarely takes the hits these other guys do in the pocket.
-
A horde of fans descend upon WGR to point out that Herbert got hurt in the pocket tomorrow.
-
Herbert must have the ability to check out of that, no?
-
Hes basically a more polished Trevor Lawrence, with more talent around him. Same exact game. Dink, dunk, jump ball.
-
Hopefully it doesn’t matter, but I want KC to rack up losses. Beyond sick of playing them in the Playoffs at Arrowhead. Somewhere like LA, whatever.. ok.
-
They just ran directly into the Chiefs overload.
-
So much talent, yet the Chargers always find a way to disappoint. Really weird team.
-
When talking about the team, valid .. but nothing makes me more frustrated than fans debating Allen vs Mahomes and bringing this up like Josh didn’t go Super Saiyan in the Playoffs to have it taken from him out of his control.

Chargers OL is literally disintegrating in this half.

OMG… Intercept. The. Ball.
