  1. This is the most “meh, ok” draft I can remember in a while. I get what they’re doing. Every pick makes sense. It’s just plugging holes with good players. Good players haven’t been the issue. Was probably a dream to think they would find a way to get better this off-season. Very stagnant roster construction so far, while the Jets (by default), Chiefs, Ravens and Texans all got better.
  2. Hopefully we play the Florida Gators this year.
  3. Who thought it was a good idea to bring out a politician?
  4. Nick Wright is on X bragging about the Chiefs potentially drafting TJ Tampa, so I almost want to take him for the dunk.
  5. Do the Bills view Shakir as an outside WR? Because we have two slot guys and a guy who is outside but excels as a big slot.. plus two good Tight Ends. What are we doing with a tiny slot receiver?
  6. Three conclusions right now (IMO) Beane has a plan we aren’t aware of and will be happy once it plays out Beane is sold on restocking the roster with a bunch of cheap draft picks Beane is trying to move around but failing to make a deal (we heard this was the case with them trying to trade up for Bishop) Really disheartening start to Day 3 so far..
  7. Gross. This is going to be an incredibly frustrating half hour if we don’t trade up.
  8. I could see the Jets taking a QB and WR in this round. They have multiple 4’s.
  9. Im not really worried about a Diggs replacement. I think Kincaid becomes our 1 and then we surround him with a talented WR room of WR2’s with different talents. Im expecting to see a lot of extended handoffs where we get the ball to Coleman, Shakir and Samuel in space .. especially given the way teams sit back in a shell to defend Allen.
  10. Im pretty good if we can get a Gabe Davis clone today on a rookie contract (hopefully with better hands) The Gabe Davis discourse became toxic because it became time to pay him or let him walk.
  11. THIS Get one more quality upside WR and I’m all in on the Packers approach for Allen. Hollins is nice vet depth, but should he put WR5.
  12. What does that have to do with Franklin? Obviously teams view them as better prospects. This is a deep WR Draft. It’s how we got Shakir in RD5. Deep draft and teams had questions about how to use him.
  13. Game tape. The guy can play and provides something we still need, which is speed on the outside. Obviously there’s a reason he’s falling, but some of it could also be how deep this WR draft is. Even a team like the Bills, who came into this draft as WR needy as a team can be, has taken one WR. Not every team is going to take a WR in the Draft and now guys like him are relying on teams to start double dipping.
  14. Rousseau would probably be viewed as a good pick by most people. Epenesa took some time, in part due to our staff changing his body, but the way he played last year is - at least - a solid RD2 output for a DE taken late in the round. Edmunds is good, but not elite. Solid pick. Same with Oliver. Very good, not elite. Underwhelming for where he was drafted, but not a miss - and many would view him as a hit. Boogie was a miss and everyone knew it except for our FO apparently. Elam.. I’m still in wait and see mode. Weird situation. I’m willing to see what this year brings as he clearly can play.
  15. Honestly, I’m pretty excited for today with a 4th and four 5ths. Unfortunately with this Draft, it’s basically a 5 round draft. Rounds 6&7 are said to be bereft of talent due to various factors. That being said, Beane has crushed Rounds 4-6 with a ton of good players like Khalil Shakir, Gabe Davis, Taron Johnson, Wyatt Teller, Christian Benford etc., Could definitely see us taking our RB2 and WR4 today, along with another Safety and a Cornerback. Should be able to get 4-5 guys who will make the 53 today.
  16. I just don’t know where the depth goes.. We have our starters. We have Lael Collins pushing to start, but also slots in as backup OG, OT. And we have two guys in the system that the FO likes a lot in Anderson (IOL) and Van Demark (OT) That’s 8 guys right there. Room for one more on the active roster, so another guy could make it as OL9.
  17. I don’t hate Carter at all. He’s not Boogie Basham, imo… he has a quick/sudden/violent push. That alone will be useful in pass rush situations. Not saying you’re comparing them, but I’ve seen that around the board and Boogie was a tweener who had zero explosion. Pick never made any sense.
  18. Franklin, Walker, Baker as WR’s all make sense, along with TJ Tampa at CB and Mo Kamara at EDGE if they drop and/or Bills move up. Will probably take a RB at some point tomorrow.
  19. This is a very strong draft so far. The issue, imo, isn’t the players taken.. they got good players at positions of need.. Its the state of the roster heading into the Draft. Coupled with the fact KC moves Heaven and Earth to make sure Mahomes has a good OL year in / year out and has drafted RD2 WR, RD2 WR, RD1 WR in three consecutive years, plus signed Marquise Brown, while having arguably the best TE to ever play the game. We’re sitting here with some promising talent on offense, but alot of unknowns because of decisions made prior to tonight.
  20. Fair .. but this board also overwhelmingly hated the Boogie Basham pick and wanted Creed Humphrey, DK Metcalf and Trey Smith, to name a few.
  21. Have to think we package picks and make sure we get a WR, RB and CB we like tomorrow.
  22. I actually think this has been a really strong draft. But it’s the same type of draft that has us being really good all year and falling short in the playoffs. Coleman has some boom/bust in him, but Bishop and Carter are just good, maybe really good football players if they hit. We have a lot of good players .. we don’t have difference makers (as of today) outside Josh Allen.
