In the Ralph Wilson days the Buffalo Bills were always broke because he didn’t want to pay anyone. The Buffalo Bills are a large market franchise now with the television money and new Bills stadium on the way. Think of the Buffalo Bills market as Buffalo /Rochester/Erie/Southern Ontario/Toronto along with transplant out of town Buffalonians my point the Bills aren’t broke the Bills operating like a normal NFL team. The Taron Johnson deal is a good deal for the Buffalo Bills in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go BuffaloJust curious….how does a stadium that won’t be occupied for almost three years have anything to do with the current status of the Bills as a large market team?

He’s a solid contributor. They don’t grow on trees!

Semi-retire? Congrats! You’re gonna love it! (I speak from first hand experience.👍)

It's more like 30K or less considering each STHer holds 2 or more seats. Very few single seat holders.
Well, considering there are 2,000 hours in a standard work year, they’d have to conduct these ten at a time just to get them all done prior to opening day. I mean…..yikes!

Cole Beasley, with a dash of Emmanuel Sanders. He's been playing mostly from the slot and is solid there, but his RB background makes him a harder RAC guy than Beasley was and he can play better than Beasley could when split out wide. Probably less of a Football Savant than Beasley but I don't know on that.
Patience, Grasshopper. Wait and see what the contract really is.
Yeah! I forgot about Emmanuel Sanders. That sounds about right.

Of recent BILLS receivers who would Samuel compare to? Gabe Davis? John Brown? Robert Woods? Or who?

How is this a thread? 🙄

Don’t tell 1642 English Civil War Captain Wendy Oxford that!
He might challenge you to a duel!
I believe the factoid was meant as for a girls name.

Did you know that the name Wendy was created for the book Peter Pan? Until then, there was no such girls name. I found that fascinating.

I get regular YouTube drone video updates on the progress at Everton’s new waterfront stadium (Liverpool). Still makes me wish the Bills had opted for that location and a similar design. Everton is looking really cool!
With that said, it seems like it’s been a while since anyone has posted updates from the Bills stadium. I have to imagine steel is going up….yes?

I know free agency isn’t done yet but looking at the overall roster it’s clear that Beane needs to find something like four to six STARTERS in the draft. Not just players, but actual starters.
Offense: WR, OLine and you might even count RB since Cook isn’t an every down back
Defense: Safety for sure, DLine if they want to keep rotating starters, and CB if you count dime formations

Wait until you run the numbers when Tua get paid 50+ million a year from the dolphins.
Put another way, every time Josh throws a touchdown pass every single man, woman and child in WNY has to put a dollar in the bucket. 😳

If he throws for 4,300 yards again next season that equates to a paltry $7,000 per yard….or $2,300 per foot. Geeez!

Jones re-signs. That's great news.
Only starters left to find are a boundary WR and a Safety.
Interesting that of the Group 6 players people here wanted re-signed a fair number have returned in Jones, Epenesa, Edwards, Rapp, Morris and Lewis. I listed 11 players in that group. 6 have re-signed and only Floyd has gone elsewhere.
Just one small correction to your initial list. Floyd should be bolded as having signed with SF….no?

I loved his motor and effort. He really showed our younger guys what NFL pass rushers are supposed to look like.

Have OJ's legal problems/reputation caused his football collectibles to sink in value, or soar?
I can see it going either way.
Just wondering.
I’ve never looked into it, but I have to admit that I’ve often joked about it. 😉

Remember the Seinfeld episode where Kramer offers a tee shirt as an ‘interesting trade’ for Jerry’s van? Maybe the Bengals would take something like that. 👍

You’re a better person to ask than most. But wouldn’t the deal/contract between the state/Bills/NFL/County all have to be finalized and confirmed in regards to what is being built. Especially since the public is paying so much out of pocket for it? Like it would be tough to come out during the creation process and say “XXXX seats will be covered and heated” but not deliver. Claiming construction costs were the reason and in a way to save money it is now idk, 1/2 what was originally said. Wouldn’t the town/county/state have a field day with that? Especially since Pegula is in the hook for the overruns. We’re not talking about a few less kiosks inside, or saving on tile work here. We’re talking about specifics of the stadium that were announced.
idk, just seems like the seating and coverages, along with heating elements aren’t something that could be changed legally in the building of the stadium.
again, you’d know better than most.
It’s complicated and every Contract is worded differently but in general the basic design criteria (things that matter to the Owners) are stipulated in the basic performance documents. For example, the total number of seats or even those that are heated, but things like the size of particular beams are left up to the Design/Build team to work out. In most instances cost overruns do NOT come from the Contractor. They’re generally caused by the Owner asking for additional amenities that they failed to stipulate in the original scoping documents. And most construction contracts protect the Owner from increases due to inflation and weather…unless it can be proven that either are beyond the norm thru no fault of the contractor.
I hope that helps.

Chicago is building a domed stadium.
I find the wording to be hilarious! “Include a dome”? Will the included dome be over the field or just somewhere in the greater Chicago area? 😉
