  1. I dont mind keeping Tyrod around and continue getting weapons for the team. What I dont want is to pass up on a good QB opportunity. Im just glad we dont have a million holes to fill, this team is playing well together. So BPA could be a good thing as we continue our search.

If you have the chance at a good prospect and the GM feels good about that QB, take him, regardless of what player could help the team and Tyrod.

  2.

Matthews is a terrible fit on this team because he runs the type of routes over the middle of the field that Taylor has never successfully targeted.

Taylor excels throwing the ball down the field, outside the hashes to speedy receivers, and that's what Matthews and Jones are worst at. Neither of them offers anything beyond 10 yards.

I said it last week and I'll say it again, Taylor and Martavis Bryant would be lethal. With Bryant and Thompson on the outside with sub 4.4 speed, and Matthews working out of the slot, our passing game could actually be pretty good and Shady would face a lot fewer 8 man fronts.

A real deep threat would be nice. Tyrod doesnt really risk much though, wont do a lot of jump ball kinda throws. At the end of the day if you wanna throw it down the field.....its not gonna be open most of the time and you have to be willing to risk the INT.

This offense works on open throws and the run game, very safe. Not a high risk offense. Is that good enough? yeah....will it be good enough come playoff time? Prolly not.

  3. Right, but he got here late and is fine. Same with Thompson. Not buying the while system thing. Guy can either separate and catch or he can't. Football is not that complicated. Andre Holmes was here all camp and has 8 catches in 6 games. I'm pretty sure Inman can do that.

Well thats probably why you arent a coach or GM.

So youre expecting an immediate impact from Inman in Chicago? Like what do you picture a WR of his quality to do? Say over someone like Thompson?

  4. Is this guy going to get significant playing time now? I would like to see him starting on the outside with Zay on the bench. Give Thompson more playing time and see what he does with it. He showed me more in 1 half of football, then Zay has in 6 games.

The outside WRs dont get much work. Id rather have guys like Matthews and Thompson working out of the slot. Easier for Tyrod.

After reigning the NFL as the top scoring defense for a few weeks, Bills defense has come back to reality. We are now the 4th ranked scoring defense in the league. Mighty seahawks are leading that title once again.

We have one of the better run defenses, ranking 7th in the league at 84.5 yards given up per game.
We were all worried about this secondary before the season began. Its early bright start had us thinking they are way better than we thought. Look again: Bills secondary is 26th in the league at 258.7 yards given up per game. Only 5 teams are worse. And we have yet to face Brady. (Giants are one spot below us, but have the same yardage given up at 258.7. I assume the tie breaker was this:) The one consolation we have is that we have 2nd most INTs in the league with 9.
So yeah what we thought is still true. We will have trouble slowing down Brady.

Well when you play zone, a good qb will move the chains. Zone is meant to be more effective as you get closer to the endzone. I think every FG we give up is a pretty decent defensive possession against a stronger team.

If the Bengals go on a tear and end up making the playoffs than yes in hindsight it's a 'good loss' so to speak.

We'll find out where they are truly at as well this week coming out of their bye and playing a huge game at Pitt where they have a chance to get to .500, steelers have some serious momentum after their big win in KC last week.

I think the Bengals were def better than their record. Once they made the swap at OC their offense and Dalton improved by miles.
