Josh Allen is really doing his best to control his natural instinct of desperation.
The "hero" ball that usually ends up in disaster.
You can see him really trying to be a poised QB and understand situational football, but this game and how close and high pressure it was anyone could have made mistakes.
Hell...you saw Drew Brees give up the ball at the end of that game. Didnt even protect the ball with a pass rusher attacking him.

KYS is always too far.
Not a fan of his play this year, but hes a rookie RT. Not an easy job.
Hope he can really work on improving this offseason so we dont have to waste time and money replacing him,

I personally wouldnt give the Bills a TD.
But...I also would have called a Delay of game on 3rd and 18 and not thrown a flag for a blindside block.

I agree we arent a consistent "contender" yet.
But its the right mentality to have even if we arent there.
Luckily being in the playoffs makes you a contender by default.

The Duke hype is a little much..but he seems somewhat effective...but at the end of the day if he has trouble being on the same page with the QB he cant be on the field. Regardless of how good he is.
A QB and WR both need to be able to recognize defenses to adjust their routes accordingly. Maybe Duke isnt ready at that level.

I think the Titans took that position over the last two weeks.

Bettin on the Bills!

I stopped playing about 15 minutes in.
The randomness of the low accuracy is a joke.

On the field probably....off the field...probably not.
Gore is a veteran role model and a future HoFer.
Just having a guy like that on the team, working hard and being a good example for the rest is big for the process.

I don't think they are protecting Josh. I think they are protecting the team. You can't win games where you don't move the sticks and turn the ball over. The last few games from Josh have been based around him no effing it all up like the first pats game.
Josh has a difficult time seeing it then throwing it on time so he either throws the ball late/behind or holds onto it too long. He'll also go for the home run ball over the first down throw 8/10. These are things that need to be worked on every single week regardless of opponent or point in the season.
Correct....but I would make sure that we focus on these weaknesses in reading coverages...i just want to make sure JA knows where the ball should go and can he put it there.
Like if he doesnt have time in the pocket, id rather him work on moving around in the pocket instead of panicking and just taking any one on one he sees. Ya know? I dont care if he takes the sack...make sure the right decision is made in terms of where the ball has to go. Ya know?

Whoever 24 was on Sunday....was absolutely terrible.

You treat this game exactly the way you treat every game which is to devise a game plan that you believe can defeat the opponent and work on becoming more efficient.
If Josh Allen was a little more accurate on about 3-4 of his passes and the receivers hadn’t have dropped 4 passes and Motor hadn’t have fumbled the Steelers game wouldn’t have been close.
lots of IF’S there which is exactly the point. Focus on the execution and efficiency, that’s the difference of us being a one and done or one win playoff team to being a championship caliber one.
Right...but you can do that next week against the Jets and in the playoffs.
I think there is a real look here at gaining some experience and becoming a better QB. If you just play to your strengths then you are just conceding that this is JAs limit as a passer.
I think with any QB youd ideally want them to be as cerebral as Brees/Manning/Brady. This is a chance to gain some mental experience and not just do what works and try to win.

Not trying to be a jerk, but do we have a choice? We can’t make them play a certain style of defense. I’d guess New England will play him like they did last time (with a few new wrinkles) until he proves he can beat it.
You could try to "protect" him. Kind of like we did against Pitt.
Try and establish run...minimize mistakes...blah blah blah.
To me...he needs to go out there and make the right read and hopefully not turn it over in the process.
Hes gotta be willing to make the mistakes this game...At least i think so.

We all know about JA's issues against good defenses/pressure
We clinched a spot....do we throw Josh in the lions den this week and focus solely on his decision making against this complex defense? Maybe let him call the plays or only work on making the right throw instead of saying...getting a first down in that particular situation.
I would give up this game if it would help JA get better against complicated defenses and pressure.
At the end of the day, he needs to be better against strong defenses.
What do you think?

I gave up on the organization for allowing him to get hurt.

Mistakes all around.

Garbage game all around. Someone is always messing up every play.

Gotta be honest, I agree with this post from Eric Eager. With better play from Josh we’re Super Bow contenders.Dang...I know what you mean.
I think how the offense is run put JA as the lead dog.
I think we could go into a run heavy, limit JAs attempts and win the old fashioned way.I really do believe they are throwing as much as they do because they need him to be able to do everything on the field to become a Franchise type player.
I dont think its just about winning with this year its about making JA a complete QB......and winning.

Ill drink to that.

Im ok with the over throw....its normal.
What im not ok with is the lack of loft on his deep passes...hes just putting it on a line, so there is no adjustment opportunity for the WR.
Granted we dont have the greatest of 50/50 ball WRs....but if any WR has a step on their defender Allen needs to put loft on the ball and hope the WR can see it and get to it.
Just as a side note...it was windy as heck Sunday wasnt it? Maybe putting loft isnt the best idea.

They haven't rolled yet against a good defense I don't know why they would start now.
Gotta look for the defense to make something happen and give us a short field to score on. PIT's defense is legit.
I'll take the ugliest playoff-clinching game in history if that's what it takes.

WR technique- the push off. To teach or not to teach?

Im all for pushing off if you can do it like Plaxico Burress.
I was a big fan of how he created separation.
Hed lower one hand and push and extend on the defenders hip/lower back. Harder for the refs to catch and just as effective.
