Man, some seriously good 1st shows here - Queen, Simon & Garfunkel, Iron Maiden, AC/DC. I wish I could have seen Queen back then. I still look up clips on youtube - one of the best live bands ever. Mine was kind of meh. REO Speedwagon, with Rainbow. At the time, however, I was blown away.

I figured we'd be in better shape at this point of the season. The team hasn't left a lot of room for a margin of error. We all hope that Jags debacle won't come back to haunt them. Good & great teams are allowed a mulligan, but that was a biggie. We've basically lost all 3 "had a chance in the last couple of minutes" games we've had. Those are our 3 losses. The rest of the games were all fairly easy wins (Miami #2 was closer until the end). We're going to have more close games in the next 2 months, and it's gonna be crucial that we win those & balance out the "close game" record more.

Man, with the Pats winning, the heat is ON! I'll take it. I was kind of hoping we could have a few years of "owning" the division easily, but for old timers like me, it's fun to have big division rivalry games coming up, too. It's been awhile. If we're the best team, we should still get the division title. It's that simple. I think the Pats need to sweep us if they want to take it (as long as we take care of business against teams like the Colts).

Watching Mac yesterday, it's pretty clear what he can do, and what he can't do. I don't think he'll ever come close to taking over a game like Brady & the best do. And the athleticism/escapability will be a major liability with even a good O-line (the Pats right now have one of the best). He would likely have twice as many sacks taken as Allen if he started behind this Bills line. He's smart, and goes through his progressions - which is big for a young QB. He's a great QB for Belichick. Perfect for how he gameplans, and they can win a lot of games w/ that combo. Once BB moves on? Probably not nearly as much of a threat. It wouldn't shock me if we were more concerned about Wilson in the division at that point. Enough of the hype, though. There is nothing too special about him, except that he plays for the best coach.

Fair enough, and if I overreacted, all apologies. We really only have 2 Pats fans who post here (that I'm aware of), and I appreciate the contributions generally. Sometimes I see what I'd call humble bragging, but it's actually kind of challenging to be objective when it comes to anything Patriots or Patriots-fan related these days. 20 years is a long time, and most Pats fans that I encounter in real life become like cartoon characters when the conversation moves into anything sports-related. I have no real reason to doubt what you're saying. In general, I'm tired of the Patriots, I'm tired of BB, and I'm already tired of the Jones hype. It colors my POV.

Of course that bothers me - if it happens. I don't get why Pats fans come here trying to convince Buffalo fans that they're back & Mac is just going to keep it all going. Is it possible to still be insecure after the success their team has had? I post on other team's board, but I'm mindful of basic etiquette. I can be all homer here, and overhyping Bills players - but I just wouldn't do it on a rival's board, or really any other board.

Who is "doubting" Mac Jones? According to Pats fans, he is already as good as Brady and in the HOF with another 6 Lombardi's. According to ESPN & the rest, the AFC East had one non-Patriots year, and now it's over. Mac Jones is the most hyped QB I've seen in decades.

I mean, I love his game - but who cares what Mathieu says about Mac Jones?

I hate to say it … but the Pats are coming

I've heard "Yankees suck" at Bruins game. I've heard it at Celtics games. I've heard it (of course) at Red Sox games, even when they were in the World Series. I have always wondered why they do that. I mean, the Patriots ARE in our heads here, or at least some of us - but I'd be embarrassed if our fans chanted that anywhere except for a Bills/Pats game. And of course - BB is going to have that team in contention as long as he's there. The hype is a bit much right now, but if they continue winning it's warranted. -

These kinds of threads get comments on the Pats boards. Their fans generally say something like "we live rent free in their heads." Then, they go to a Bruins game and join in a rousing crowd chant of "Yankees suck!" -
I wish I felt that way. I actually realized when Brady left that it was more about BB & the fans there. I didn't mind Brady at all once he was in Tampa. Boston sports in general is a nemesis for me, being a Yankees & Knicks fan also. Their teams have had such enormous success over the past 20 or so. The fans are cartoonishly arrogant - which I suppose would happen to any fanbase, but it's still annoying.
