Did he? How do you mean? Because he threw INT's?
-
Twitter and the rest are going crazy on this story. It's really one of my least favorite things about the internet. Instantly, everyone feels like they know everything, and are quick to judge. From the sounds of it, he only exhibited some symptoms after the game. And they're not even sure yet if it's really a concussion. This doesn't sound like it was something that was instantly clear or obvious, or even suspicious. But we all need more details to come out.

Mac Jones is repeatedly dirty and needs to be reined in

He was supposed to be the player who didn't have all the skills, but had the "poise" and maturity to be a good or great QB. He seems like a total brat. He out-whines every other QB, has tantrums regularly, and does stuff like this. Leaf vibes. -
Has it been reported that he showed symptoms during the game? From what I read, it was only after the game - and they're not even sure it's a concussion. Either way, I obviously hope the guy is okay.

That's fair, and I get the fans who would rather face NE. I do think coaching and defense become more prominent in the playoffs, but it's not like high-powered offenses haven't been successful. For me, it's probably just that there is too much mental baggage w/ Belichick. I loved beating them like we did in the WC, but I didn't enjoy the day leading up to that. I'd prefer (personally) to just have a playoff game without all of that. He's more capable of getting a middlin' team to overachieve for a game than most other coaches in the league.

It's not that outrageous. Is Miami really that much better than NE? They do have the same record right now. One has a better offense, one has a better defense. Both are division rivals. EDIT: sorry, my mistake - they don't have the same record. But easily could after Sunday. I don't think there is a huge gap between those teams.
-
Who haven't they played tough this year? Probably should have beat the Raiders, probably should have beat Cincy, probably should have beat Minnesota. They're not garbage. The defense is top 5 and capable of keeping any game close. No, thanks - I don't want to see them in the playoffs.
-
No way. The Pats offense is bad - but they have one of the best defenses in the league. And they have the greatest coach ever. Go Miami.

NFL Week # 16 - Bills at Bears - post game thread
Success replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Felt like we played poorly for most of the game, and still won by over 3 TD's. When that happens, it usually means you have a pretty good team. -
Bad timing for sure - but if that holds, it's not quite the "wind game" from last year, either. JA can throw in 25 mph. The Bears will have to cover our WR's, and we can hopefully focus more on stacking the line so Fields doesn't run wild.
-
Knicks just lost a heartbreaker to the Bulls - they led or were tied almost the entire game until the last shot. I will NOT have 2 of my teams lose to Chicago within 24 hours. Everyone rest easy.
-
I'm stoked. There is NO better QB in the wind than Josh Allen. Had we let him throw the whole game last year against New England, we win that game going away.

Honestly, it's a pretty tough situation for the Jets. To draft 2 QB's so high in such a short timeframe, and neither works out - pretty bad luck. It's so hard w/ QB's & the draft. It really is hard to figure out who will pan out in the NFL, and who won't. The JA draft is such a great example of that.
-
It's weird, and I should probably keep this to myself - but I'm kind of rooting for the Jets. I have some Jets friends, I like Saleh & what they've been doing there, and I want the Pats to finish in 4th place for the first time in decades.

I love Christmas Eve games. Gonna be a fun weekend of football w/ all of the weather craziness and holiday spirit. I should buy more beer.

Love the jacket.... -
Watched it again. It's pretty obvious to say - but that game easily could have gone the other way. The D got the big stops when it counted, and Allen showed once again that he has the clutch gene w/ 2 very crucial late drives. Re: Cam Lewis - it's easy to criticize the mistakes he has made. Those always stand out, because there are no highlights or game-turning moments for "solid" play, which is what he generally gives us. He's a good player. Roughing the punter was a bad mistake, but it's easy to forget after 1) we won the game, and 2) the Pats/Raiders game the next day.

I used to love Tequiza. I don't think it's available anymore (I've looked for it). Really tasty; great summer drink. Definitely more into the micro's now. We have a lot of good ones locally where I am.

We'll find out at some point that he's actually a cyborg, and that this kind of stuff was just for show.

It's genuinely pathetic to see a guy in his '50s act that way. I mean, it would be pathetic for anyone, at any age - but he's 51, has a family, and a very high profile job. Sad to see people acting like that, in any circumstances. Everyone can take a lesson from this: count to 10, think about what you're doing. Try to treat everyone in your life and that you encounter better. We all have choices, every day. Choose the better options.

"Return of the Patsies" -
I can't help but feel bad for Meyers. Seems like a good dude, and all players make mistakes. But this was a wonderful thing to have happen for that coach, and that fanbase. Yesterday was a pretty symbolic ending for the "Dynasty." At least for this week, they're a laughingstock. They're the Patsies again.
