  1. Trade Dareus for DeAndre Hopkins and draft a DT we gain cap space and have the Clemson brothers for WR. Win win. Also the Pats don't get Hopkins.

Can't trade Dareus because it would be an insane cap hit...like $27 million dead money.

Was thinking seeing we are cap strapped. And it seems this is building as a win now team if Josh Gordon does get reinstated there is your big catch radius proven NFL WR.

Bring him in on a prove it deal if he goes back to the alcohol and drugs you cut him no issue. But if reinstated that would be a way to fill a major hole with a high talent that wont cost anything.

I am not sure he fits the character standards McD wants but gotta fill roster anyway and this would be a way to do it with a former elite player for pennies.

Didnt beat a women or anything violent his issue has always been the weed and drinking.

Do you mean "out of the box" or "hot box"?

  2. Fine, he will play safety

Here's an article from Green Bay talking about the safety situation there in 2016

    http://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2016/5/20/11718762/packers-2016-roster-preview-young-safety-group-leadership

For those who are lazy he is considered a nice depth backup who returns kicks

    BUT NOT A STARTER

So yeah he equates to Aaron Williams if Aaron would have been the backup

    He wasn't

I really hope we emulate Green Bay and look to use high draft picks on a young safeties to START

I'm the kind of fan who want better players here

    jc

Yeah that Jerry Hughes and Lorenzo Alexander, 2 back ups with their other teams haven't done much in Buffalo.
  3. Not much out there. The Bills backed themselves back in corner. I would of drafted a safety in draft early. Hopefully they still. Very good class at that position.

You don't sign him to that contract if you don't think he's good. The Bills obviously think higher of him than you.

  4. ...but i know a whoooooole lot about the bills defense. what would you like to know? you never did clarify or allow me to rebuff...

Don't really need a "rebuff" when you say you know more about the Bills defense than their own HC and you'd prefer take players like Vic Beasley and Cam Wake off the field on early downs....makes me think your football acumen is very low.

  5. yep. I'm fairly certain I know as much as he does about the defense. At least at this point. He hasn't coached or worked with any player yet.

I am not a huge Aaron Williams fan. But it was a mistake to cut him.

And yes. I really am saying I know defense, this defense, as good as our head coach. I didn't stutter. And I'm willing to back it up with discussion.

I also said Hughes is in trouble as an every down starter and regressing.

This might be the silliest thing I've ever read on any message board.
  6. It wouldn't surprise me at all if numerous NFL GMs think Glennon has more value than Tyrod moving forward. Don't forget Russell Wilson fell to the 3rd round for size concerns, and Brock Osweiler got a monster contract. GMs have no clue what they're doing.

I think Tyrod realized to make more money he would have had to go to Cleveland, and he wouldn't even be the first FA this season to take less with another team to stay away from Cleveland (Tony Jefferson was the other). Like they said it's a smart deal for both sides. I don't know how can anyone can be unhappy at this point, if you want the Bills to draft someone that can still happen.

I'm not big on Taylor but I really do like this contract.

Just because Houston made an egregious error doesn't mean all GM's don't know what they're doing. It's easy to point out mistakes and no one is perfect in this business.

  7. Additional reasons for staying. People seem to overlook how much success the offense had while he was here. The offense was breaking Bills records for scoring and going into week 17 was like 6th in the NFL. Mostly without Sammy playing. TT knows hes got a good thing here on the offensive side. Hes still getting a crapload of guaranteed money.

His guaranteed money is very low for a veteran starter.

  8. When the guarantee is up, he will have had 4 years to prove he is the guy. That's more than we've given anyone in a while. I really think this is his "prove it" year.

If he doesn't end the conversation about him as our long term starter, then he's our bridge next year for the new guy.

I'm overall happy with how this worked out

It's a great contract for the Bills. Taylor can make more money if he produces...
