There’s nothing to discuss with you. You should have contacted me directly, as opposed to making jokes over subject matter that myself, and others in this thread found offensive. You defended another posters offensive comment. You also insulted me by unfairly calling me a “victim.” Most of the people in this thread backed off, but you decided to pile on. This is not cool or appropriate and it’s not appreciated.

Thats no religious freedom. Making a baseless accusation of descrimination as though it was a fact with zero proof, is offensive, intolerant and just not cool. People don’t go to jail but websites, publications, and personalities do end up in court.

You have to expect the media is going to speculate, second guess you and ask dumb questions and you need to let it go. I am no fan of Schopp but thought he was professional and asked tough questions. He was a bit arrogant and condescending but he always is. Definitely not likeable, but not out of bounds.

Wrong I have no problem with saying Peterman should not be on an NFL roster. I do have a problem with several members claiming that McDermott’s and Pegula’s decision were based on religion. The religious insinuation was no joke or opinion - it was presented as a claim. This insinuates that the Bills were prejudiced and discriminatory with this decision, yet there is no proof. Tasteless jokes and baseless allegations like this one are totally out of bounds.

I agree....You need to listen to the Bills postgame show. Schopp basically said “What has McDermott done that’s actually good?” He called him out and made it sound like he (Schopp) knew more than he did. IMO he came off like a real ass. Much much worse than today. I can bet that McDermott who was in bad mood, got word of these comments. To make matters worse, Mike was off the show for the final segment. Something went down either on the station or with the Bills for them not to wait until after the show.

Funny thing was that Schopp was off the show for the final 20 minutes. Something went down - either his boss was pissed, or Derek Boyko was on the other line. To his credit, I didn’t think Mike was any more snarky than he usually is. He didn’t really go too far or hammer McDermott.

Yeah I get that. I’m totally fine with people blasting McDermott but to accuse McDermott of being prejudice is out of bounds. No journalist or podcaster would put out statements like that. Nor would any website, channel or publication carry that statement. It’s offensive and irresponsible, but it’s cool here I guess

Read the comment again and some of the ones that follow.... they are not satirical. They are extremely offensive and discriminatory. Thread get closed because of fans arguing, going off topic, or making repetitive threads, yet its cool to allege descrimination without any proof?

Not talking about the OP... that was a joke though a pretty dumb one. This is in reference to the claim that McDermott’s decision is based on religion when he has absolutely no proof. It was presented as a fact, when the person who wrote it has no real person, nor did they phrase it as speculation. That would be like one of us saying a coach favored a QB because because was the same ethniticity, sexual orientation etc. You don’t think that painting out a coach to be prejudice isn’t damaging, with zero information? I’d disagree. Seems like it’s just hate speech to me, but I guess it’s cool here and not offensive because it involves Nate Peterman.... Give me a break

Not really. Seems like threads are locked for far less. Just saying, trying to make an offensive correlation as fact that has never been proven and/or reported is basically libel.

Its entertainment. Same way you will vent, sound off, or brag about NFL with friend or co-workers. People also want to get their voice out there to be heard. Same here....this one is a good one! I disagree.... I think a lot of this is hindsight based on what happened. how many of us would be livid if a team ran down the clock for OT? It would be pathetic. I think you need to have enough confidence to throw with your QB, even if he is a backup. Also Peterman led one very good drive that resulted in the only TD of the game. There really wasn’t a reason for not calling passing plays as he looked decent before the INT. Now, you can fault McDermott for his poor evaluation of Peterman or for being comfortable with Peterman as QB2. But I don’t think you fault him for calling passing plays there

Right, but his point is that it’s not just the Bills that passed him up to avoid controversy. It’s essentially the entire league. Very true, but the crazy reactions are pretty funny too. Sal doesn’t talk down to callers like a Schopp does, but he comes close.

Yea pretty much. But it’s funny to hear the inflection in the callers voices. It’s funny because you know Sal is annoyed but he can’t sound like a jerk. Still he will shoot back at them. Yes forgot about that but it was hilarious
