    Josh’s Nuts: Never Blue

Lol, I don't know how many or if anyone here has actually ever had the pleasure to experience "blue balls" in their life at one point or other.....

But I'd just assume to have a swift kick in the balls rather than go through that ***** again. The pain might end quicker

This, on paper, is the best AFC East I can ever remember. There was always only one and occasionally 2 teams that were good. I think the Pats are only team that would shock me if they won the division, and they have a top 5ish defense and a good running game.

the bills are still by far the favorites. But I can see the bills with a worse record being a better team than they were last year because we don’t have 5 guaranteed wins this year.

Yeah I agree...it's been quite a while since AFCE was considered to be a strong, competitive division throughout. So much possible things can play out that can happen, but you're right it definitely seems that way on paper.

Really would be extra helpful if we can stay much more healthier this season.

I feel you would look my pic with your door locked and lights off.

Between the dollar menu and breakfast....I only eat fast food about 7-8 times a week now.  That's not much.

Why he gona be looking at pic with the lights off? Unless he can turn into an owl or is secretly a bat he might not see much with lights off in the dark

Either way, Josh has professed his love for Diggs many times now, and Diggs has shown that love back publicly too.  Whatever it was, it seems to be in the past and the relationship between Allen and Diggs seems to be just fine.

Personally, I think people took that too literally.  I mean by the very fact it was a football player at a mandatory camp unhappy with something that was related to himself and the team in some capacity means it is in some capacity a football related issue.

First I don't see why some ppl (not talking about you) can't let the Josh/Diggs thing go. Whatever it was it's been over with a while ago. Anyways, I agree they are just fine as they have always been.

I think some want to try to find something that's not there and end up creating their own.

This is fair…. Still, don’t think they should just throw up their hands and just go with what they have. Still plenty of time to get something done who’s an upgrade over Davis.

And they still might...maybe it's a waiting game for the time being. Or maybe also could be they want to see if something stands out at TC. I don't think that decision has been made yet to go with what they have

I agree with that today, but obviously the Bills disagree.

Idk....I kinda lean more to what @BADOLBILZ mentioned few posts up....In that they did think that going into last season and had much confidence in Gabe that he was ready so was easy decision to give him much more playing time and definitely seemed the chance would be pretty damn good for him to be a good #2

Now I'm not so sure they feel that same way. They know now he didn't quite turn out how they thought

Edit: Just to add, I don't think anyone can say it was bad decision etc. We all thought the same way, if not you're likely lying.

Fitz win against the Patriots was bigger than any single win we had with Tyrod. Yes, Tyrod won 8 games once, but no one would look back and say Tyrod was the reason we won any of those games. Any midtier QB would have got that 17 roster into the playoffs

Idk, back then at the time it was big win, but I think some still feel it was more than it actually was. I think  that game may have seemed much bigger than it was because of the state of the franchise at the time. Fans emotional and desperate for something and the basically guaranteed loss to the Pats year after year.

So was so much emotion then (and rightfully so) along with how it happened coming from 21pts down, it was special...but at the end of the day it was a week 3 win

I think you would be wrong about there being MORE danger in the pocket.   Both of Rodgers broken clavicle injuries occurred on pocket escapes.

But I agree that the designed runs have to end.

Ultimately they just need to get the ball out of Allen's hands quicker on a more frequent basis like KC is doing with Mahomes now.    That stuff mutes pass rush and decreases potential for injury across the board.

The problem is........if you don't have playmakers to throw the ball too you need to be remarkably accurate/precise to run an offense that way.     The Bills have neither the weapons or the precision passing QB to execute that kind of offense right now and they won't get the latter without the former, IMO.    Until they put the talent around Allen he's going to just presume he has to run around until someone gets open and we then probably won't see him back perfecting his craft as a passer in the offseasons again like he did early in his career.

Agreed, pretty much everyone gets that bit of, guess you'd call it "extra excitement" when Josh takes off because he does amazing things. I fully agree about the designed runs though, definitely need to cut back.

And adding to your statement in bold, that's correct and it probably goes without saying here, but also the Oline protection (or lack thereof ) along with that being the 2 main issues.

You can explain it any way you like, but Mahomes has won more, has better stats, more accolades, shown up in bigger moments, etc. He is more consistently elite and less volatile than Josh. It's just the truth. Mahomes is the best, most impactful player in the NFL.

Can't really argue with you here, that said he also had the benefit of being developed by one of the best. I'm sure that contributed to some extent.

Lol strangled the Colts offense on the final drive… The Colts offense was barely stopped that day… until they(mostly Rivers) shot themselves in the foot. The defense was poor that afternoon, but I expect nothing less from one of your takes.

The McFrazier defense has had a history of getting absolutely destroyed once it takes on an very good passing QB in the playoffs…. This with a massive investment in just about every defensive position…. Hopefully that changes with McD taking over the play calling.

Just to jump in here briefly to say that's certainly the way I remember it happened, now jumping out

Honestly, I can’t blame the offense too much for the Bengals game.  Yes, they got off slow, but when the defense showed again that they weren’t going to show up for a playoff game…I might lose some momentum too.

The offense has showed up for so many playoff games only to be let down by the defense.  Outside of the Ravens playoff win, when has the defense done anything in the playoffs for us?

It’s a lot of pressure to expect the offense to score every drive because the defense can’t stop anyone

Probably also was almost like protection didn't exist for Josh.

I sometimes wonder why people bring up Tyrod. People must like reading posts about how he was average. I know you can't have loved his time in Buffalo that much.

Now we have more Dynamic versions of him around to say he was the broke mans Lamar Jackson.

He was alright until he wasn't. It was cool at first, you hope for the guy then you get bored with how he plays. I'm glad he got a shot and did decent but after while it was time to move on.

I've seen back ups come along and have a nice little run to the point people talk about them being the starter. Then they fizzle out for one reason or another.

You can't be a hater if your not thinking about or talking about Tyrod. It's not hard to understand he was not that memorable. I've seen a backup win the Superbowl and the fans probably don't give him the love that some of you feel for Tyrod.

He had some haters at the end of his run but that was more people hating on when people still talking about him being good making excuses for him.

Yeah it does kinda seem like he is brought up a bit more than other QBs from the past. Maybe some haven't moved on yet for some reason

I never “hated” Tyrod, but he was infuriating to watch. He’d just never let the ball go. Dudes would be wide open, and he’d just refuse to sling it.

    I remember screaming, “throw it!”

He never would. That’s why I’ll never get down on Allen for turnovers as long as he keeps taking his shots. The alternative is playing safe, and boring football to limit mistakes. He lasted too long, and I hope I never have to watch that kind of football again.

I have nothing against him, but I’m certainly not going to praise him either.

Lol, such a familiar thing a whole lot of us went through and is likely the main thing if not the only thing that first comes to mind when his name is mentioned
