It’s been the talk of media heads attending OTA. Elam has a battle on his hand for CB2.
I haven't come across any of those reports. Not saying you're wrong or anything, just something I have yet to see.
Anyways, even if it was mentioned it's hard to put much stock into media speculation just from a few days in starting OTA's in May

Dude got scapegoated because of a million injuries and only had the 2nd ranked defense in the nfl. That bum never deserves to work again!!!
It's easy to see how it can be looked at like in this way by anyone, however can also understand anyone who would say it was a bit more building up to that with some questionable decisions before last season with all the injuries/etc.

I’m not sure what Elam does wrong in practice but his games show me he should be starting and looks the part.
I don’t know what the Bills are doing with him.

Not sure what would make one see this and automatically assume it as them not being satisfied with or replacing Elam? I see it as more of a depth competition signing to compete with maybe Cam Lewis or Dane Jackson etc

He was always going to take the best contract he can get amongst the teams he is interested in playing for. And quite frankly, he should, I don't blame him.
Yeah, I mean basically that's what anyone would do. If someone says they wouldn't they're telling you a lie. I don't know why some are surprised by this really.

You fired the first shot with the “more people think you’re an idiot” salvo, I just hit the ball back over the net.
No worries; I’m confident having math on my side even if the majority agrees with you.
Lol, well yeah I guess I did, although was meant as "bullsh*ttin with ya" joking sort or way. My line of thought for saying it was all those very many post you do "any update on this" and the same ol constant "math" talk that (lets be honest here) with a concerning amount of determination you use that is wasted each time failing to convince others to change how they view all possibilities that could be from what there is so much unknown about.
Anyways, I thought it's very likely people may have at some point said to themselves, "this idiot again". In any event, no offense intended and sorry if it seemed that way

BUT……whatever will become of our thread?
We haven’t even hit 100 pages yet! Ahh, we’ll get their easy talking trash about him and explaining why we never wanted him anyway!
Unlock the original Dhop thread and merge this one. Then shoot for record breaking number of pages in a thread

That’s exactly how you want your general manager to handle this you don’t want to be “all in “and then a bidding against yourself
Yeah, the "all in" talk is media anyway...no GM will admit being all in anyone I wouldn't think. At least not making it public.

I get the tired of the rumor mill angle, but washed up????? Lol you can tell 75% of this board watches one game a week and goes back to watching The Bachelor or Tenticle erotica
Agree....I don't get it how when seeing stats etc and overall viewing Dhop performance thus far how one can come to conclusion he's washed up

Well he's an easy one to "dump" on if you're gona choose somebody. Thing is, was so frustrating because when he got signed we all knew (or most of us did/should have) he wasn't a great pass blocker in Tenn and was better run blocker. However, while we knew his pass blocking needed work giving a general idea what to expect from him, speaking for myself here, I didn't think he would be much, much worse than I thought.

If this is accurate then his agent is trying to draw up interest that just isn’t in places he thought it would be
Don't know if that's the case, it's possible to some degree. Since it only has been a day or so that he got released it's possible he's pretty much just getting started with exploring how that interest stacks up.
I mean I would think there is likely more interest now since he got released than there was before having to trade for him.

You're gonna earn the nickname "Madden Boy" pretty soon.
What do you think it would cost/draft capital to acquire?
Donald has contemplated retirement for 1+ year, are you willing to risk this isn't just a 1 year rental?
How do we fit the 13.5m under cap this year, is Ed traded somewhere/cut? Are Rams interested in Ed, why?
Not sure you're response here is an assumption that the OP posted one of those "Go get him Beane" type threads, but OP mentioned nothing about Bills or even implied about Bills getting him, lol but anyways

With the Bills bringing in 2 more WR's for tryouts, and the reality of having to perform cap gymnastics. My personal opinion is there is a very slim chance of Hopkins in a Bills uniform
Either way whatever happens regarding Dhop, I like that Bills are looking at some of the bigger WRs

We shouldn’t really care if people think we’re idiots or if they take veiled shots framed as quantity of detractors having meaning. FWIW I don’t think you being incorrect about this topic makes you an idiot nor do I consider you an idiot at all. There isn’t a person on Earth that is right about everything.
Avi Loeb, however, is an idiot.
Speaking for myself, it doesn't bother me in the slightest if a person thinks I'm an idiot. They can think anything imaginable about me as much as one wants.
Regarding the 2nd part in bold, I do like how you slipped in the "me being incorrect" comment lol..... Although I tend to disagree with you, at the same time I can't say for certain what's right or wrong because all that's unknown.
But you're right there isn't a person that's right about everything

If your point is that he’s not an idiot because he’s cashing in on fooling dupes into believing aliens exist then you have a right to that opinion. Me, I think making oneself look like a fool either organically or in pursuit of money qualifies as idiocy.
When it comes down to it your opinion as well as mine changes absolutely nothing. People are going to always believe what they are going to believe and that will never change....
As for calling someone an idiot, that's meaningless also. There's many that think you're an idiot, some think I'm an idiot, although you easily have more that consider you an idiot than I do, main thing is every person always has someone somewhere thinking they're an idiot at some point or other.

You mean guys like Adam Schefter? The guy that directly sources information from agents said on his podcast that even though Mahomes is saying all the right things in public, he actually wants a new contract. Which makes sense. The QB market has been reset and he's likely got family members and an agent in his ear telling him he can get more with very little effort on his part. Before long I expect us to have to pay Josh Allen more too, especially if he brings home a Lombardi.
Agree 100%. Think he's at least wanting to get more than Daniel Jones lol

Who here thinks Avi Loeb is a complete idiot?
Well, you are at least one who thinks he's a complete idiot. One of those idiots that's worth 5 mil as of now and increasing each year.

If he wants one they'll have to give him one. When the best player in your franchise's history says jump you say how high.
Absolutely right....and that's EXACTLY what the Chiefs are going to do and will be filled with happiness while doing it

That is a cherry picked summary of what Schefter said.
Nothing new is really reported here. The Bills and seemingly every other team are unwilling to give Hopkins the contract he wants. It will be a long process to get the right deal that both sides are happy with.
I don't know what will happen, but it may not be a very long "while" he'll be on the market as he predicts. I mean it seems since OBJ got signed then it might be easier for Dhop probably. No telling though

I think the Bills offense will be fine. I still think the RB situation is fluid. I don't think Cook is a true number 1 bell cow RB. He looked good towards the end of the year. He's still unproven and learning. We've seen plenty of RBs look good only to have disappointing second years. Another big question is Dorsey. Can he juggle the Rbs and use them appropriately? Will he commit to the run?
The wide receiving core has improved but beside Diggs there is no difference maker. Hard to think Kincaid will have an immediate impact. Although it's possible. Come playoff time teams will blanket Diggs and take him out of the game. Will the Bills have an answer?
How will the oline play? Lots of new pieces to the line? No one player is a stud player. Dawkins is solid but frankly I think he's a bit overrated. With that said, he's the least of the Bills worries. Spencer Brown is a huge concern. To this point all we have is potential. I can see him playing well or terrible.
Allen needs to limit the turnovers and stay healthy. As long as that happens, the Bills offense will be at worst a top 10 offense.
I do feel good that Beane actively addressed the offensive side of the ball. Hopefully, the Bills offense will be extremely good this year.
The 2 statements in bold is the only 2 really questionable things for most people I assume.

Not a coincidence: it's announced Hopkins hires an agent....
within a few hours, Ian R. mentions he may get around $10 mil base + incentives.
Then Adam S. talks about the $ as well.
It's clearly the agent getting the best possible offers from all teams interestedYeah, I mean that's what's expected of any agent anyways....depends on the way Dhop might decide to suggest everything and how strongy he may make those suggestions known I guess
Bills sign a CB, release a CB (now the title is grammatically correct)

I'm not saying it wasn't, I just haven't seen it....or may have missed it.
Still as I mentioned, imo no way to tell much of anything this early at the start of OTA's
