Anyone ever made no-knead pizza dough?  I am going to make some tonight and give it a 48-72 hour cold ferment for pies this weekend.

Anyone got a recipe for Bocce/La Nova style pizza sauce?

Paciotti (Bocce Club) says he uses fresh Mill flour for the dough..every morning.he doesn't use oil for the out ring of the crust...he spreads the cheese(Sorrento bricks) on the outside for the burn.

A pretty good interview with Dom Smith below.  I was in "so done with him" mode last year, it's remarkable how he's turned things around.

I  remember telling my kids when I first saw him that he looked like a guy who needed a pillow. Turned out there was some truth to that.

Interesting read...if you recall in '18 he was penciled in to start game one in PSL..he was late for bp and was benched for some time.Nice to see the truth come out.

LoL... What is it on the 3rd? Not every town has them on 4th. If none at all, they need to get commercial sponsors!

Anyway... Do you remember the Ron Jaworski Stadium fireworks fiasco in the early 1980s... That forever traumatized my wife.  Looking for the story.  I think one person died.

The display on the 3rd is a silly one..couple hundred people go to see a half added country singer.

Anyway...I joined the service in '82..came back home in 1988.

I'm pretty sure Cheektowaga had something bad happen..'90's?Thinking  the explosives started hitting St.Joe's/Sisters Charity..and the crowd...

Our local fireworks show, which I enjoy, lasts 10 minutes on the dot.

There is always a show put on by the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra that I love.  The last couple years, they've been playing into the fireworks show, which I think is great.  There are also a bunch of food trucks around.  I love the evening, but wish the actual fireworks would go longer.

Average firework display is 1,000 a minute...I hope your local libraries are not suffering cuts like most around the country are.

enjoy and don't forget to take a few hits of gorilla glue right before the display.

10 minutes!  What the heck, the local car dealer Dude in Crown Point, Indiana puts on a 1/2 hour+  show with finale.

Wow... What a bunch of cheapskates.  @mead107 makes longer "glorious explosions" in a GBiD "Would Ya" thread!

You do know your hometown no longer has a firework display on the 4th?

Those that live in glass houses...shall not throw stones.

I do like and enjoy your optimism but can't help but this fellow below when it comes to this team.

    The 10 under stings.

  7. Koosman giving Gil a big tip of the hat! But he said "booze running machine".

That's old school baseball...they drank beer in the clubhouse back then.

  8. SPAM ALERT:

    Ritz Vinegar crisp&thins.

Perfect for a  semi heavyweight during a baseball game...and they taste great.less calories/fat than potato chips.

AND...much tastier than fingernails during these tough days...I only have one bleeding finger ???

  9. Obviously..Ramos in this afternoon, batting 7th..Rosie in 8th spot.Other than that we will see the same lineup as last night.

    The winning streak begins today.

  10. Just because Mick lost faith in his club doesn't mean we are selling off talent. You don't rebuild after giving your ace a massive contract...just my two cents worth.

I can see Dom getting moved for pen help...Frazier is tight with Mick..Mick goes and so will Frazier..but as G.Goat stated..I would expect next to nothing for him.

These are bad days..but let's stay positive, lots of baseball left to play.

This is probably the darkest of places I’ve been in as Mets fan since “06-08”, I was born in 85 unfortunately can’t even fall back on that squad.

I just saw him say it....he wants out.

My Bro tells Us we should go.  Right down Clinton.  I love German food, same with Son... But no bueno for the ladies, wife and daughter.  What do they have against Germans!  /smh LoL

FWIW... @Misterbluesky do you remember (of course you do) when The Deerhead Inn was right next to 14 Holy Helpers?  On Union & Indian Church directly across from Race Street.

Another throwback... Remember The Hobnail on Union @ the 400.  Mooney's now after numerous changes.  But I guess (according to my father)... The building was on other side of Union, they moved it when building The 400.

You fellas can take your dad if he's up to it...they do have a wheelchair ramp (Patio).Might be a bit crowded for him, though?

I'm a little peeved after the 4th encounter this week with people who can't remember the rules concerning right of way at an intersection.  Also, some guy following me in the village limits where it is 30MPH and I can't see him from either door mirror.  County road posted at 55 MPH and I make turn while visibly clear from left and 100 feet after my turn some guy is just about up my tail pipe.  He had to be going 80 plus MPH.  I will give out a kudos to the guy who used hand signals to indicate a turn while towing a junk vehicle as well as using the magnetic temp mount signal lights.

You ever been to the Philippines....

  14. They took over the old Deerhead Inn after the ghetto hood ran them out of the city line/pine hill district.

Yellow Pike is so tough to get here..for unknown reasons.

    They served it well.

Sadly..they are closing the doors on Sunday..forever.I

Get over to Clinton this weekend..even it's only for a beer and a shot of soul whiskey.

his job is to cover the bills. granted, he's no gil brandt but i tune into this show to hear about the bills and foootball.  if anything tasker has all but killed the show so far. i find myself looking at what day and time it is to see if i'm actually listening to obl.  there was a thread a while back about tasker and i've been thinking about bumping it...until now.

tasker does zero show prep and carries on about nothing like howard simon. i can't wait for murph to get back. sheesh

And what is Murph going to talk about?...Yesterday the guys were talking about Mickey Callaway for a full segment.

This is football sleepy time...people are tired of predicting things...the only thing going on now is...a new turf is being installed.

I actually woke up this morning feeling awful for Mickey.  I thought his tantrum might have actually gotten him some respect but it looks like it’s made things worse.  Between what looked like a forced apology and everyone from Terry Collins chiming in to criticize.

Yes as a manager his decision making is all fair game for criticism.  However I’ve always looked at him as a decent guy who earned the right to have one tantrum like that and get the benefit of the doubt.

I say just do him a favor at this point fire him

while preserving his dignity.  Put him out of his misery.

I could give a hoot about this drama crap....

Who put us in the position to have to start a tosser like Lockett??I

Instead of getting a steady 6th...that young goofball zeroed in on Lowrie because he though McNeil wasn't big club ready.
