Yes. I can't believe I didn't even think of Lawson until I read your post as he was a much improved last year and made some big plays. I think the Bills will regret declining his 5th year contract option this summer.

THAT would be huge if Lawson excels now. Imagine how good this defense can be if Lawson, Murphy, Oliver, Hughes, all play to their potential this year.

Speaking of the D line..last night on the 11 o'clock news,Joe B said he expects Jordan Phillips to start over Oliver..with Oliver seeing only 20-30% of PT.

I was surprised to hear him say that.

Bills territory/Bills Country. It’s a state of mind more than geology.

Not true...Erie County and NYS taxpayers flip the bill to keep this team here.

    I am one of them.

And most out of towners laugh at us..because we keep paying high taxation.

One thing that really pisses me off is when out of towners tell us locals where they would like to have a new stadium built.

    we don't care.

Move back..support the community..then we will listen.

I think he will be more of an assistant GM to Beane. they said he will work in both college and pro personnel I’m guessing he will work with Schoen, who is probably going to get some interviews in the next GM hiring cycle. There is never a lack of work to do and as long as the oWners are willing to pay, might as well get Beane more help.

This is just me talking.but I think Beane already told him to get a very nice place on Pensacola Beach....smack dab in the middle of SEC territory.

In my opinion..he's going to be a traveling man with mega connections.

I'm 70/30 on his signing because I think what we have going on here is some great chemistry between Beane and coach..threesome's can be pleasurable,or deadly.

Regardless..I expect some rock solid draft selections next year..

He is a worker..just like Coach and Beane are.

It is a hard question to answer. Flowers got $18m per year and Clowney is better than him. I personally think he is better than Frank Clark as well who got $21m per from the Chiefs but I don't think he is as good as Lawrence who got that same deal from Dallas. So I think this market says $20m+. He isn't getting Mack money but he will be pretty much there with the next tier of guys which is Lawrence and Clark.

Wow..so much for that idea.I would love him here but......

You have to look at the production per rush of Clowney which is right up there with the top guys in the league. He is just not used as a pure rusher in Houston. When they send him after the QB he creates havoc. But the one thing the Texans are loaded with is people who can get after the QB.

What do you think he's worth, gunner?

Didnt answer the Question.  Compensation what are you giving up to get a player that has NEVER gotten 10 sacks a season?

Shaq and Trent Combine for 8 sacks. 4 FF, 1 FR and 54 Tackles

Clowney 9 Sacks 1 FF and 3 FR and 47 tackles.

So what is your trade compensation for that AVG play?

I get your point...the money part for those numbers is minus 6 million..give them a third for a reconstructed deal...payday in 2020,21.

Who or what do you want to give up for a guy that has NEVER gotten 10 sacks in his Career. Depends on compensation

He had more sacks last year than Murphy and Lawson did combined.Nearly 20 in two years..and we have the money.

How many times does he get double teamed a game...

Come at me with your best reasons why the Bills won't win these games. You can't. Take it to the bank.

Joe..I still feel the three games in a row at home are huge.Around Halloween time..we have Miami,,Philly and Washington. If we take those games..10 is probably a lock.

Do you remember the movie..Summer of '42..

He went into the  soda fountain shop for "rubbers"..it took me a few talks with my young buds to do the math...thinking women actually wore rubber underwear.I was about 10 when it was on tv (Saturday night after the news).

.  We just had a young couple (mid 20’s) move in across the street.  I went over when they were doing yard work and introduced myself, but they are very “peculiar” people.  Don’t seem like the type to enjoy a BBQ and a few beers.

Probably should have brought over a pan of lasagna..or a pie...

It's OK to use the "Buffalo brush off" with neighbors, when applicable.

    Do you see the difference?

If you lived next to me here in B-low..we would see each other out front on a Monday morning..getting the, paper, mail, garbage cans etc

    You want whiskey or coffee..both?

We talk about the game/s....and then we eat sandwiches together..you leave by 1 after getting into my home around noon.

    Within ONE HOUR..

    Belly is full

    We talked football..maybe some politics

Then you go back home to sit alone

We could have spent 3 hours talking about the game and most likely described it better than the national/local media did.
