  1. I'm excited to see what his system looks like, he was literally let go because he was too pass heavy in Carolina who wanted a more balanced attack. I thought he did an excellent job with another coordinators playbook with a few of his ideas thrown in. The entire offense clearly liked his style/approach because they turned things around fairly quickly imo.

Eric Washington another dog ***** Panthers transplant. The D line didi't even touched Mahomes and Burrows the past 4 playoff losses. He is to blame for the awful performance by the D line in the playoffs

    Players get a pass?

  3. I don't see a reason why McDermott would give up his DC position, I thought he did an outstanding job with even guys who basically came off the couch. When you're a team who makes it to the playoffs every year unfortunately you're going to lose people. Unless McDermott can't handle both jobs at once I'd hope he'd again be our DC, the only thing holding us back this past year was injuries imo. Anyone who takes over will be running a version of McDermotts defense in some way, shape or form so I'd rather it just be the man himself imo.

  4. I like Shakir a lot as far as his improvements go, he really solidfied himself as another viable option for Allen but I don't see him as a #2 WR, great hands shifty WR (much like Davis) but doesn't have the speed you'd like to see or in my opinion the route tree... YET! But I think he will fill that Cole Beasley role with Kincaid for mismatches on the field. We still need to find that guy in the draft imo.

Tyler Dunne is spot on. Great article I don’t understand how at the very least we couldn’t have told Sean McDermott hey we’re going to explore other options at head coach in the next few weeks. We are not firing you unless we find someone we think will maximize Josh Allens talents and get us to a Super Bowl more than you can.

It’s an off-season that has Hall of Fame coaches just sitting there for the taking. Why not at least check it out.  What’s the worst that happens if we do that? McD gets pissy and resigns. Well thank God for that.

This is 2024 sports journalism at it's finest! Tell your head coach we're looking for someone better? I can get behind some of what he said but you can tell he is going out of his way to get views/clicks or just flat out doesn't like McDermott. Another tasteless piece by a mediocre journalist in my opinion.

    That is very true.

And that also worries me a bit. We don’t know what a Brady offense will truly look like.

But I think the above numbers show a definite change in philosophy.

The good news is, Carolina let him go because he was passing too much and they wanted a more run oriented scheme but he refused. That has to be encouraging!

I know, I know. They’re Talking Heads. They need to talk about Josh Allen (is he  really great or not, can he get over the hump, yada yada).  I haven’t heard a single pundit talk about the Bills D in reference to the last four playoff losses (Orlovsky was the only one I heard mention the injuries on D in Sunday’s game).

The stats are sickening. In the four playoff losses, Bills have surrendered an average of 33.5 points, 398 yards, have four sacks for 10 yards and forced two turnovers (one on special teams, zero interceptions).  On Sunday, Bills gave up 7.7 yards per play. Excluding kneel downs, an astounding 8.5 yards per play.  That’s a full three yards per play better than KC’s season average and a full yard better than their best game of the season against the Chargers.

If Lamar Jackson and the Ravens win on Sunday, I guarantee that it will be because a great Ravens D shuts down Mahones and the Chiefs.

Injuries cannot be the excuse, we had a fully intact OL, the best QB in the league, a run gameand all WR aside from Gabe Davis were healthy plus 2 solid TE's. I'm not blaming Josh Allen but we had 3 chances towards the end to win the game...3 freaking chances and we blew it! We didn't make the necessary plays to win this game, again our main guys not named Josh Allen didn't show up... Diggs (no show), Cook (no show), Dalton Kincaid (no show), Dawson Knox (no show), The entire defense aside from a flukey Jordan Poyer fumble out of the endzone (no show). Someone tell me how you dont double and triple Kelce and let the rest of these guys try and beat you? Aj Klein on Kelce was a complete joke, he makes all pros look silly half the time and you have AJ Klein on him? There is absolutely no excuse for that.

Sorry, guys. It was my fault. Two major errors.

first, I decided to wear my Bruce Smith jersey during the game. The logic was sound, as I was trying to channel the spirit of the 1993 Bills team that beat KC at home during the AFCCG. The problem is that I had not tested out wearing it, and it obviously resulted in the classic reverse jinx.

Second, my one son and I decided not to watch any PAT or FG attempts during the game. We left the room, as my other son reported the result after the fact. Bass must have obviously felt that lack of faith, which caused him to miss his FG.

I am very sorry. I will try better.

Philip Rivers should consider himself lucky if Josh let's him hold his jock strap on the golf course some time.

Honestly I get the comparison, but Rivers was never one of the top 2 quarterbacks in the league EVER in his career.

No he's only 6th all time in passing yards and 6th all time in passing TD's, will most likely be a 1st ballot hall of famer, he was a real bum that guy!

With our cap issues, I would argue that we are maybe 4th best in the AFC

    KC

    Baltimore

    Cinncy

    Houston

The good thing is so will these other teams, not so much Houston but Kelce is on his last legs, Burrow will lose Higgins/Mixon, Baltimore will start losing guys due to lamars contract, it's the nature of the beast!

I don’t care about the injuries.  Josh played as well as you could hope.  Diggs and Sherfield let him down, but the offense overall did pretty good.

This comes down to McD not having an answer for a Reid offense when it matters.  It’s sickening how terrible our defenses are in the post season beyond the wild card round.

If he can’t get it done in these situations, there what’s the point of him being here?  Division round season enders aren’t going to cut it.

I feel terrible for Josh and the fans.  All of them deserve better.

It's hard to disagree with this.... Now we'll have to contend with the bengals next season also, rinse and repeat this guy can't get it done. All the money along the Dline and not even a sack.

  12. We're going to lose S Hyde, S Poyer, Tre White may never be the same player, Milano may never be the same player, is Diggs washed? Can we get out of the Von Miller hell contract? We need a #2 WR.  All the money into D like Floyd, Groot, Epenesa, Oliver, Daquan Jones and not 1 sack. The calls by McDermott were inexcusable, I think he straight up panicked with that ridiculous fake punt, he has been outcoached by Andy Reid and Zac taylor every time they've played in the playoffs.

The positives.... WR Khalil Shakir is our new Cole Beasley, TE Dalton Kincaid will be our travis Kelce sooner than later. The OL has become a STR
