Looks like a great rotation for Ed and situation pass rusher.   Solid signing.

As of now, looks like S, DT, and DB2 will be the focus on the draft, pending more FA signings.

What sucks is, this is not a great draft for DB's or S.

It looks like Bishop and Rapp will get the start with a rookie S (I’d assume) backing up Rapp. I still see some veteran corners who would help including Douglas who’s still out there. I doubt they start a rookie corner but who knows.

He’s probably the highest ceiling vet we could’ve added at this point.  I don’t see Hendrickson as an option.  I should be really excited about this, as he was on my wish list, but I have visions of him being injured come playoffs.

He’s a needle mover and I give Beane credit.  If he can land Adebo, he’ll have done a good job.  We’d be able to draft 2 DTs and a WR rd 1-2.

Adebo? The Cb that the Giants signed?

It's really not dissimilar to the Leonard Floyd deal.

I don't hate it but I will be very sad if he's in a walking boot by December.  I'd still rather risk it than line up AJE across from Rousseau for 19 games.

I don't think I can watch Epenesa and his badly tatooed arm wiffing on the QB for 1 more second.

Palmer is a much better route runner than Samuel. He's a pure outside guy with separation ability due to savvy route running.  Is he a difference maker? eh, probably not. But he can be a consistent starter. We should have a pretty steady WR room now, with Keon and Palmer on the outside, Shakir and Coleman in the slot.  I'd love to see them add more speed, but it just doesn't seem to be Beane's emphasis

I've watched all his catches from this past season and I'm not seeing it but again all we can do is hope. Comparing him to a guy who has flamed out here in Samuel isn't the best barometer to judge him by anyways. He could be a pleasnt surprise I'm just not sold on this guy at all.

  5. I know it was said the Bills were interested in Asante Samuel Jr. in his draft year (who knows if true or not) but the cost to sign him might be a bit too high. If that goes awry I can see them re-signing Douglas who they have familiarity with and then draft a guy which they'll most likely do with 1 of their 1st 2 picks in the draft.

Well, in situations where we needed a pass rush and pressure last season we had none, so I hope he can bring a bit of disruption.

He only had 2 sacks for the Rams as a situational guy, he could play a bigger role here you never know.

There was never a really big chance (at least in my opinion) that the Bills were seriously in on Garrett or Crosby - the deals they signed were deserved, but also too expensive cap-wise for the Bills' situation.  I'm not holding my breath for a trade for a pass rusher, either - same reasoning - cap space.

I expect that they will look very hard at pass rushers in round 1 and 2 - whether one that they like will be there or not is the question.  Also, pass rush doesn't just depend on DE/Edges - DTs can help the pass rush as can better coverage in the secondary and timely occasional blitzes.

If they held back getting a generational talent like Garret or even Crosby and heck we’ll even throw in Hendrickson because of cap space then they’re in the wrong business. Although the cap is real it can be converted into signing bonus that yes hurts us down the road but we are in win now!

I was looking at this list and a few names stuck out.

CB - Asante Samuel and maybe Kristian Fulton

S - Justin Reid - He just seems like a Bill.  Justin Simmons for depth?

Edge - Azeez Ojulari - I admit he's a Bulldawg, but he would be an excellent compliment to Groot.

None of the guys we picked up in free agency should change our plans. Palmer seems to be a decent player but I’d be hard pressed to believe he carves more of a role than say Samuel. Palmer was playing with a fairly good QB in Justin Herbert and had every chance to be the guy yet Herbert’s go to was a rookie slot WR.

Also the DE/ Edge rusher we picked up seems more of a situational pass rusher which appears to be what he was in L.A. rather than a full time player.

These are just my opinions but I’m sure I’ll get a lot of the eye roll emojis or x emojis from the people who know better.
