Some that stick out in my mind (other than ones mentioned here, trying to give some other ones). I think it was 2005? We hosted Seattle in the season opener, Ryan Denney caught a TD pass on a fake fg, we won handily. Beating the charges to go 5-1 with Trent Edwards returning from the concussion. I remember a chargers fan in the stands that has been talking junk a lot of the game, storming by me up the steps to leave and goes see you in the playoffs. I said we will be there you wont! They end up sneaking it at something like 8-8 and we blew the rest of the season

Yeah Gmac has been there for awhile now, he seems to have a good rapport with the players, and we know about his desire to win. I am not sure about his coaching acumen, but would love to see him get a shot.

How has Hopkins been doing out at UW? Would he be willing to come back if Jim leaves? How about GMac as a head coach possibly? Trying to think of a possible replacement if/when JB leaves
-
He said he is friends with Buddy and Joe and grew up a Cuse fan and has great relationships with our staff. Said its nice to be somewhere he is wanted, which seems to give a clue as to why he is leaving Marquette

You made it through the first 3 just fine though?

Why are all these kids transferring? Seems awfully high

The next question he should have asked would be if so, is it worth using a 1st round pick on a player you don’t expect to be there after 4 years? I think ultimately the answer is no, and I am not one that would hate a rb at 30 as I get the train of thought, but for long term planning purposes of a franchise it’s not the move. If we want to draft a rb, I say trade back to the top of rd 2 and get more picks

I feel like edwards fouls when he isn’t moving his feet on defense. We lost this game because we couldn’t shoot for *****. I’d love for dolezaj to come back and we run Edwards guerrier and dolezaj on the back line with boeheim girard and Richmond on rotation. If griffin gets his head out of his ass to then he can play up top or back corner too
-
We lost all aggression with taking him out, no logical reason to do so, esp to be putting dolezaj with two fouls back in the middle

He crashes a wedding here and there but has moved on to funerals. According to Chazz they are insane! -

I think they believe he can play any of the 5, I like you’re thought process though as he is probably better suited inside due to shorter arms -

Merge perhaps? -
Yeah like that kid from wvu did, we have some time to prepare and boeheim is pretty good at focusing on one guy. Our guards should be aware that as soon as he catches it to get in his face and contest
-
I doubt they have played against a zone much this year, and then add on how much differently we play ours. If we slow down the pace we can give them fits, just need to make a few threes to keep our confidence up
-
Ha I am pumped too! I only know because I looked yesterday thinking they were playing today as well

I am showing the game is tomorrow?

With how McD preaches competition it could be possible that neither guard spot is safe. All we can do is speculate at this point (which is why I hate such the long off season, I just want to know! lol) Training camp should give us a good indication on what the thoughts are, and perhaps the draft as well. If we draft an OL in the first 3 rounds it will muddy the waters even more. You do make a good point about the backup to Mongo and I didnt think of that, which now jumbles my thoughts even more 😵 Was it that he was so good or that he was average and that Winters (and previously Ford) were so bad that he just stabilized it? -

Not that I didn't think of him necessarily as a better LG than RG, just that that spot seems more open to competition than the other spots on the line. Seeing Logic's point about Bates preferring to be a center, maybe they want to groom him there more and replace Morse in a year when his release would be more cap friendly? Or Feliciano could replace Morse next year and Bates slides into RG? Having Bates and Feliciano certainly does give us lots of options, but can also cloud the picture as to what the FO is planning. Also a lot of this depends on if Cody Ford starts to realize that potential we drafted him for this year -

I know he's there too but I am not all that impressed with him either. Bates versatility more than likely keeps him as a backup swingman in case a starter goes down, but if he were to win a starting spot that's where it would be. Hopefully they allow him to compete for it.
