Should we in your opinion take seriously comments from guys that have played the position in the NFL?
-
Not sure why either. I tend to believe guys that have played the game and this week both Kurt Warner and Rich Gannon have talked about the game, how great Josh was in the second half but also mistakes he made in the first half. No one hates Josh, at least no one with an ounce of sense. Things get said on the in game thread out of emotion and frustration sure, but in the end everyone loves having him as our QB. But no player should be immune to criticism.

Well stated

This fan base, sometime, is very concerning

The Steelers are going to try and run it all day Sunday and have the tools to do it. The D has to continue its excellent recent play. -
As I said earlier he was phenomenal on the second half. All Bills fans love Josh but when he makes a mistake he is open to critique like any other player.

Dude, my comment was meant to be tongue in cheek, but the way you jump right to the defense of Allen says it all.

I wish I had your talent with the pen (or keyboard), Shaw. A perfect encapsulation of my feelings. I don’t mind any of the color guys on any of the telecasts. And the return will live long in Bills history. -

Saw that. Glad to hear. -
Let me make a suggestion or two. First, let’s all agree to ignore in game posts or at least take them with a large grain of salt. For example at one point in the first half yesterday I posted they should just sit Josh down and have him get his head out of his butt. That’s simply emotion mixed with frustration. Obviously I would never want to sit the franchise. My second suggestion would be to list the players on the roster and note which are open to either positive or negative critique on the board. For example, is Gabe Davis allowed to be praised at all, like when he wipes out two guys on a block that springs Shakir for a big gain? Can we criticize Cook for dropping an easy pass while praising him for good runs? Is Spencer Brown ever allowed praise? Josh as we see in this thread might be on the can’t criticize list. We also might want to set an upper or lower limit on the time before and after a guy can be critiqued, both short and long term. Short term I might suggest until the next game. Long term? Maybe at least two years into a guy’s career at minimum. Bernard would be an excellent example for that. I think if we all agree to some guidelines like these it would help the board.

We’ll miss Davis. Big part of the run game and weather is supposed to be rough. I’m worried he may have an ACL. -
I had to live through the 70’s. Any Bills fans from that era hate the Fish with a passion.

Bills Chiefs Browns Bucs Lions Pack

KC. Hard to beat a team 3 times in one season plus I want Mahomes at our place for a change
-
Hope he can replace Davis. My fear is Davis has an ACL

Woke up this morning good to be a bills fan

There’s a toughness in this year’s team that maybe we haven’t seen before. From Josh overcoming first half mistakes to have such an incredible finish to guys on D stepping up when needed and so on. -
Spector filled in well for Dodson I thought.
-
Go back and look at the block on the one Shakir reception. If Davis is out he’ll be missed in the run game and in downfield blocking.
-
Damn right!

Thrilled with today but we left alot of meat on the bone

Looked lost the second half. Boy was the D great. -
No. He was bad the first half with the turnovers. And incredible in the fourth quarter. Love Josh but that’s just how it was.
-
Everyone loves Josh as our QB. In the first half thread he made mistakes and people reacted to them. I was one. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging that. Then he played phenomenal in the second half and won the game. And there is nothing wrong with acknowledging that. And again I was one. There is nothing wrong with criticizing play by any guy on the team. It’s done all the time here and the QB is not immune. And we should praise guys when they play as great as Josh did the second half. He was phenomenal.

Objectivity is not your strong suit.
-
Two examples of Flacco and everyone who was critical in the flow of the game is a hater. Get over yourself.
-
I was critical because in the game thread you’re reacting to things as they happen. And he was not playing well. But boy did he make up for it and positive comments are then made.
