Every Bills fan should say the chiefs. The Chiefs are still the top dog in the AFC, no matter who the media picks as their favorites, until the bills can actually beat them in the playoffs. Titans always play us tough too. Despite their loss yesterday I still worry about them. But the bills run defense looks improved so that should help. Buffalo just needs to match their physicality + intensity. I think they will. Indy always plays us tough too. They always start out slow so I don’t think yesterday was a representation of what they will be. Chargers offense looked good. Justin Herbert is Justin Herbert. They are going to be an issue if for no other reason than they have Herbert. Mack was a beast on the d line. Not overly concerned about Miami yet. Yes, Hill will probably be a PITA but they still have Tua as their QB. I think he will crumble against our pass rush.

Mahomes still looks like Mahomes and the Chiefs still look like the chiefs. They’re not missing Hill much today. For me, the AFC still runs through the chiefs until Buffalo gets by them in the playoffs. Don’t get me wrong, I’m hopeful that Buffalo is the better team. But we need to prove it in the playoffs.

Ouch. Big mistake by #98

Lions scoring on their opening drive was a bit unexpected. After watching hard knocks I wasn’t buying into the hype like many seem to be. I’m still not but they did have a nice opening drive.

Lol at max Jones yelling at Parker for that INT. 😂 or at least I think that’s who he was yelling at. That wasn’t Parker’s fault… edit - nevermind he was yelling for a flag to be thrown, and he was right.

He can make $100 million guaranteed just playing on the franchise tag the next 2 seasons (after this one). So, about the same amount of guaranteed money in half the time. Yeah it’s a risk. But it worked out pretty well for Cozens and I’d say Lamar is the better overall player. I can respect Lamar for being confident in his abilities and being willing to put his money where his mouth is. but it’s definitely a risk. Im sure glad we have Josh Allen. And I’m glad his #1 priority wasn’t just being the highest paid QB.

Happy to see this! I still don’t know how likely it is that they get a long term deal done with Poyer (especially if he’s looking for $15-16+M a year) but at least this should keep him happy for the season. I hope both sides are able to come to a deal that works for everyone. I’d love for Poyer to be here for years to come.

For me, it was more about it being the perfect play call for the situation.

Man, that performance has me hyped up. They obviously need to clean up the unforced errors but otherwise I couldn’t have asked for a much better performance than that! Every unit of the team performed. The new d line was dominant. The new starting CBs played well, as did the defense as a whole. Special teams looked good. Kickoff coverage was excellent. The o line looked pretty good in pass protection, especially considering they were facing Aaron Donald. Allen looked fully in control/command of every aspect of the game. His audible on that Diggs TD was a thing of beauty! WR’s looked good. Crowder looks like a nice addition. Rbs looked good. and how about the run game?! It kind of reminded me of the 2015 Bills run game when Greg Roman and Aaron Kromer were here with the size of the holes they were opening up. Can you imagine the Bills offense if they can add a dominant run game to the incredible passing game they already have?? Talk about scary (for the rest of the NFL)…!

Really anxious to see how they handle the titans. It should be a good test. The titans always play us tough. The Bills have had trouble handling their physicality + energy in the past. I’m pretty optimistic that won’t be an issue next Monday. It would be amazing if the Bills could get another statement win like last night!

That first tweet (the run fake on 3rd and 1) was probably my favorite play call of the game, and it was perfectly executed by the offense. After that play call I had the same reaction as Baldinger. I was like, ok I’m not worried about Dorsey. He’s for real.

Big 3rd down here. Feels like the rams are starting to turn the momentum a bit. Bills need to turn it back.

So far I’m impressed. Pass rush looks better. Run defense looks better. Offense looks great. Allen looks great. They just need to clean up the mistakes.

I’m hoping for a win but wouldn’t say I am confident. I don’t know that I ever am, though. I think it’s a defense mechanism still in place from all the years of heartbreak. I do think Buffalo is the better overall team. And I do expect good things this season. But I have no idea what to expect week one. Will they pick up right where they left off last year? Or will they start out slow? How will Dorsey do calling his first real game? How will the new starting CBS do against a potent offense and excellent offensive head coach? 🤷‍♂️ We will find out soon enough! Historically, the defending super bowl champs do pretty well on opening day. I think the SB champs are 38-16-1 all time, 19-3 going back to the year 2000 and 7-1 in the last 8 years. Sean McVay is also 5-0 on opening day in his 5 seasons as head coach. Not that any of those stats matters for tonight’s game…

Why would they announce he’s out for at least 3+ weeks if they were just benching him? If he were being benched I’d think they would’ve just said that he won’t be back for week one. Then they’d see how flacco did week one (what if he’s terrible?), see how Wilson did in practice etc. before deciding the week 2 starter. i think the most logical guess for this is a setback in his recovery. Especially considering the Jets planned to put him through a full workout the other day to see how his knee responded. Im guessing that his knee didn’t respond well to the workout. I know when I injured my knee the recovery was pretty bumpy. Too much physical activity could cause setbacks. I think Wilson only had that surgery less than a month ago iirc?

He held out all this time to sign a contract for $837k a year? 😂 wonder if it’s at least a 1 way contract so he gets that salary even if he’s in the AHL? Nice that he’s still RFA at the end of this deal. His shooting percentage was something like 15% but despite that I do think it’s repeatable. Like you said, it’s not like he scored fluky goals. He has an absolute rocket of a shot and will be sniping goals his entire career. Yes, I know Granato has known him for a long time. I’m sure they feel like that makes this contract much less of a gamble. Like I said, I’m ok with the deal. But I just wish we had more than 1 season of production to base it on before giving him $50M, with NHL contracts being fully guaranteed. Im trusting Kevyn Adams though. He’s been very, very careful with how he hands out the Pegula’s money. So I’m assuming he feels this is a pretty safe bet.

I’m ok with the signing but it is hard not to view it as a gamble when he only has 1 season of production.
