that guy’s entire instagram is just filled with insane drum playing. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLVQldnsNZe/?igsh=MThjaHI3aDBoMThyeg== https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLSwR-tMLuG/?igsh=N210OWU4YmdsNzR1 he also has a cool review channel on YouTube where he spotlights some of his favorite drummers/songs. this guy also has some good content. He’s a studio musician for a lot of different metal bands. He doesn’t post a lot, and probably posts more on r/drums (Reddit). I enjoy watching him play. He’s so good at double bass. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5XMURdJ-nG/?igsh=azY5bHA1bG9tN2Nw

Toyota Tacoma. Who's got one (or at least an opinion on them)
BillsFan4 replied to Goin Breakdown's topic in Off the Wall
I think the newer ones are supposed to be better now. But for a while they had major issues with their continuously variable transmissions (CVT). I do think they recently had a pretty big engine recall too. -
I think JJ ends up paying him like he has the rest of his star players. He always drags out negotiations and ends up paying more than he could have if he had just paid them sooner. It’s like an annual Dallas tradition at this point. lol After hearing Jones talk at his Netflix premiere, everything he does truly is just all about creating storylines to keep the cowboys name in the news cycle. (listen to the whole 59 second clip. It’s a more detailed answer than the Twitter quote) his contract negotiating strategy never made sense to me until this interview. I could never think of a logical reason why he always seemed to wait for other star players to set the market even higher. But now I think he views the headlines a contract dispute creates as being worth more than saving cap space (by getting a deal done sooner) to use on depth players.

Toyota Tacoma. Who's got one (or at least an opinion on them)
BillsFan4 replied to Goin Breakdown's topic in Off the Wall
No, not really. Nothing too major anyway. I remember some models a while back had an issue with the fuel pump failing. And some older Toyota’s used to go through brake pads quicker than they should have but I think that was resolved iirc. I also remember an issue with some older models having a somewhat weak a/c compressor. Some old Toyotas will use up oil more quickly but that’s an issue with many old cars. Most of the issues we’d see were mainly from improper maintenance. I do remember hearing about a big recall of 2021-2023 Toyota vehicles for debris left in the engines from the machining process. -
I’d be totally fine bringing him back on a cheap-ish deal. I think I’d rather see them try to find a way to bring in Justin Simmons though (who is still a free agent), especially since he specifically said he’d love to play for the Bills. Even just on a 1 year deal for now to see how he fits, and to give Bishop some more time to develop. Simmons/Rapp would be a nice safety duo.

There are a lot of truly amazing drummers out there, and I keep discovering more via social media outlets like YouTube. I have a hard time saying any one guy is best. I love Neil Peart. He’s among the best for sure. But personally, there are drummers I’d probably put above him. Like Danny Carey (of Tool). His drum tracks are iconic. As a former percussionist myself, I think Danny Carey’s drum parts are some of the most complex I’ve ever attempted to play. Half the time you can’t even figure out what time signature he’s in. lol If you are into the drums, check out the YouTube channel “drumeo”. They have some awesome videos where they bring in all these different drummers from famous bands and then they have them listen to a bunch of different songs with iconic drum tracks until they find a song the drummer has never heard before. Then they play them the track without the drum part and have them do their own drum part to the song. Then compare. It’s super fun to watch if you are into that kind of stuff.

Toyota Tacoma. Who's got one (or at least an opinion on them)
BillsFan4 replied to Goin Breakdown's topic in Off the Wall
I used to sell Toyota’s at one of the biggest Toyota dealerships in the country. They are some of the best vehicles on the market. I also used to sell Honda’s. I would purchase either without any hesitation. If you take care of them (do the maintenance/upkeep) they will last forever. Or at least that used to be true. I haven’t sold cars in years now (since before the pandemic). But I remember seeing many Toyotas and Hondas with very high mileage come in for service. I remember one guy had over 350k on his old Honda and the thing still ran great. I don’t know how true this is but I heard there were at least a couple rough years (2021-2022) for most car manufacturers due to so many supply shortages during the pandemic, and having to use what parts they could get. I’d assume that’s corrected now. I’d still be a bit more leery about outright buying a 2021 or 2022 model though, unless you’ve already driven it for years and know it’s reliable. -
Even if you bought them, you probably would have misplaced them and that would be way worse (IMO). That is what happened to my buddy. He had a bunch when people used to pass them out for free (he even offered to send me some free back then). But for the life of him, he can’t find them on any hard drive he owns and he has spent a crazy amount of time looking.

The annual QB tier rankings from The Athletic
BillsFan4 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah I wondered the same thing. I’d like to know their reasons for voting them tier 2 but I’m sure it would just be some nonsense anyway. lol -
it’s called big Indian drift pit. It’s out on the Cattaraugus reservation. Definitely worth checking out one of their events. It’s a good time! https://www.bigindiandriftpit.com https://www.instagram.com/p/DM_whmHsTBl/?igsh=MTV1aGpydnN6dGx6Nw==

there are definitely cameras in the meeting rooms. I’m sure we will see footage from meetings in future episodes. This was a pretty standard first episode of hard knocks. They are at training camp, so I’m not sure about locker room footage but they usually have cameras in there too. The access HBO is given is the same for every team. Buffalo isn’t preventing anything.
-
For those with lower tier versions of HBO max, hard knocks hits the app right after it airs live. So, 10pm EST.

This is a great list. The wire is a must watch since he never seen it. I would also add “Oz” to your list. If you haven’t seen it, definitely check it out. Phenomenal, and I honestly thought it just got better and better as the seasons went on. The series “6 feet under” is great too. ”Ballers” is really, really good. Especially for NFL fans. There’s an HBO movie called “something the lord made”. Highly recommend that one as well. One of my favorite movies. It’s a true story about Dr. Alfred Blalock and his black assistant Vivien Thomas, the men who cured “blue baby syndrome” and pioneered modern heart surgery. Vivien Thomas’ life was incredible. https://www.msm.edu/Prospective_Students/admissions/PipelinePrograms/VivienThomas/commhealth_trainingprograms_vivien_bio.php The mini series “warm springs” on FDR’s battle with polio is also excellent. There are so many good HBO series and movies. HBO Max is by far my favorite streaming service. If I could only have one streaming service, it would be HBO max. edit - can’t believeI forgot to mention “the last of us”. So good!

Same! I’ve been watching since the first season. It’s so cool the Bills are going to finally be on the show.

Yes, please!

Well now you have to share your TikTok handle… 😉 lol

I was so sure before the press conference, with all the local politicians in attendance, that it was going to have something to do with the arena lease/ownership. I was surprised they did all that for an arena naming rights deal.

Bills Mafia gained another angel in heaven.

Damn, way too young! My condolences to the family. -
@PromoTheRobot I give you props for continuing to always remain positive about the Sabres, and I don’t mean that in a snarky way. I try to be a person who looks for the positives but my hope tank for the Sabres is bone dry. lol

Peterka immediately signs an extension in Utah - $7.7M x 5. Doan makes $925k Kesselring makes $1.4m Sure looks like this was yet another money saving move to me. I also wonder if they were worried about a potential offer sheet with lots of up front bonus money that Pegula probably wouldn’t be willing to match. Remember Kevyn Adams telling us for years how he couldn’t spend to the cap because he needed money to pay his upcoming RFA’s starting this season? LMAO The only RFA due for a real pay day was just traded away. Who else? Quinn?(lol) Mittelstadt was traded instead of being payed, and the guy he was traded for (Byram) is also about to be traded away now they he is due to be paid. Levi will just get a qualifying offer McLeod has earned a pay day but it won’t be $7+ M top 6 forward money like JJP. More of a “good 3rd liner” type money. anyway… Doan looks to be a bottom 6 type forward prospect with some snarl to his game. The Sabres can definitely use him. And Kesselring was #6 in ice time among Utah defenseman. He does have very good analytics and will hopefully be a good partner for Power. I do really like kesselring, just not at this price.

Bill Zito has done such an incredible job turning that team into a powerhouse. He had a vision for that team and executed it perfectly. Think about the guts it took to make some of the moves he did at the time he made them… Coming off a president’s trophy in 2021-22 he moved on from the coach that had just led them to their best regular season in franchise history (58-18-6) and traded his leading scorer + top pairing defenseman (weegar was #1 in minutes played by defenseman for Florida in ‘21/22) because he thought the team needed an identity change to go deep in the playoffs. And to think, the Sabres interviewed Bill Zito before they hired Jason Botterill. Oof. lol

Players traded by Buffalo have been huge parts of teams that won 4 of the last 7 Stanley Cups (I don’t count Bogosian as a big part of Tampa’s Cup). If STL doesn’t trade for ROR they don’t win the Cup in 2019 (ROR won the conn smythe that year). Vegas likely doesn’t win the cup without Eichel (Conn smythe runner up in 2023), and Reinhart has been a key part of Florida’s back to back Cups. Brandon Montour was also a big part of Florida’s first cup win last year. Has any other single NHL team contributed more to the success of other teams in the league than Buffalo? It feels like the Sabres are just a developmental feeder team for real NHL clubs. 😢

I truly can’t believe the Sabres still haven’t made a single assistant coaching change (not counting the S&C coach…). I really thought at bare minimum they’d change out an assistant or two. Every assistant except Appert has been here for multiple years of team regression at this point. WTF have any of these assistants even done to keep their jobs? - The PK and overall team defense were bad yet again under Wilford, and I see little progress from guys like Power, Samuelsson, etc. yet Marty Wilford appears to be back. What defenseman has he helped develop or improve in Buffalo? - The PP was terrible, yet Appert seems to be gaining more power in the org. - They haven’t really developed a goalie the entire time Mike Bales has been here (except for maybe 1/2 a season of UPL playing well) and goaltending has been a yearly issue since Ullmark left but Bales seems safe once again. I don’t get it. Are their standards for winning really that low? Is it an internal budget thing? Or can they just not get any decent assistant coaches to come here (seeing as Ruff is in the last year of his deal now)?
