  1. Brown is a #1 in Buffalo's WR Corp Sammy is a 3 for KC Would you like to compare playofff stats?
  2. I just think comments like Sammy doesn't love the game of football is pure speculation. Working through the off season suggests otherwise IMO. With all due respect Needle...
  3. Jim Kelly didn't want to be in Buffalo once upon a time, but you know what? I think If you asked him now he would tell you differently.
  4. Watkins would do well in Buffalo for the same reason Williams had immediate success. Size matters... Yet Sammy just spent the offseason working with Tyrod Taylor in an effort to build chemistry. Go figure...
  5. Sammy would be a #1 in Buffalo IMO. LA and Kansas City had solid #1s before Sammy joined the teams.
  6. Sammy didn't want to be in Buffalo probably about the same time he was given a heads up on a possible trade. Right... Myself personally, as the Bills GM I'm not trading a player the franchise sunk a fortune into for peanuts because a player is sad about not getting the football. This just in, great players want the football. Thurman Thomas wanted the football and became very disturbed about not getting it. Did we trade him? It was a mistake...
  7. Sammy Watkins played his best football when it mattered most throughout the Chiefs Championship run. With a player like Sammy in Buffalo its easy to imagine the Buffalo Bills advancing in the playoffs IMO. Baked Beane brain fart on the Sammy trade...
  8. A skinny stick of dynamite. Myself personally, Trevor Lawrence and Josh Allen have a similar body structure and play style that would make the lanky Higgins a natural fit for the Buffalo Bills O IMO. I've got my fingers crossed on this one...
  9. I'm a fan of Sammy Watkins and will continue to be, thats my business. Getting shuffled around is a big part of the problem IMO. Sammy Watkins loved Buffalo, wanted to come and play for the Buffalo Bills. Amazingly glad a talented player doesn't play for Buffalo? A player who could and in all likelihood would have helped the Bills go deeper into the playoffs? I'm not the one that sounds jilted...
  10. You mean like wanting the ball in a run 1st O and Tyrod Taylor at the helm? Myself personally John, WR's need to develop chemistry with the QB. It doesn't happen overnight. Patrick Mahomes and Sammy Watkins are developing good chemistry now as Watkins becomes more instrumental in the Chiefs quest for a championship. Sammmy Watkins would be a 1 WR on the Bills roster IMO. Sammy Watkins should be the 1 WR on the Bills roster...
  11. This draft has got to be about helping Allen at the WR, TE position, or big down hill runner at RB, (with good hands) If I'm Beane I'm addressing all 3 in that order... even If its a bit of a reach IMO. Higgins...
  12. Higgins reminds me of James Lofton, Trevor Lawrence had a tough night, so kinda goes with the territory Clemson had a tough night trying to keep pace with the run away freight train Burrows and co. Higgins showed his toughness Get er done Beane man
  13. The playoffs is a good reminder of how much an elite or even borderline elite pass catcher can do for a QB that can get them the football. I know I sound like a broken record, but I'm still broken hearted over losing Sammy. Is this still a passing league? The Titans think not as they prepare for the explosive and pass happy Chiefs. The league has seen its share of high powered Offenses, but what Mahomes and the Chiefs did on Sunday vs the Texans was absolutely amazing. We didn't go far this post season, but Its nice to hear Buffalo back in the conversation...
  14. As did I my OldTimeAFLGuy Derick Henry is a beast...
  15. Myself personally, I think the 2018 QB draft class itself was a great one and from that class as some of the more savvy sports analyst have predicted Josh Allen will become the greatest. I thought your post made perfect sense. Mahomes will become Allens biggest rival IMO.( Another highly coveted creation of the football gods)
  16. What I mean by that is you will never completely figure Allen out because while your figuring him out as a DC Josh Allen will be on the field figuring you out. There are no chinks in Allens armor, nothing he can't do, and when the football Gods created him they had one thing in mind. The champion of champions. Strongest cannon, a lions heart. The greatest New Era, power forward QB/modern day gladiator that ever walked the grid iron. A living legend on the horizon. My homerist of homer takes...
  17. You guys seen all the Lamar Jackson hype on this forum. Guy could do no wrong. The QB's in Allens draft class will continue to be compared throughout their careers
  18. Cincy's good that way...
  19. I know J G and the 49ers is one smooth looking operator running a well oiled machine. Two teams from todays action probably wishing they had their old QB's back...
  20. The great Lamar Jackson has been conquered. Stop the run, force Jackson to throw to the outside, and like noodle arm magic, you stop the Ravens O. Case solved. This is something that will never happen with Josh Allen because he's smart , will continue to evolve, and can put the football anywhere on the football field at a high velocity. Oh, did I mention Allen can also run with the best of them...
  21. Job well done Mr President, Bad guy eliminated, Iran saves face and able to appease its people, zero US casualties. Well done...
  22. Same old argument, plain and simple, because the success rate drafting high for a WR is bad. They seldom pan out. We just traded a higher round drafted WR to the Raiders for peanuts. We traded Sammy Watkins for peanuts compared to what he cost. What do we tell Allen when another high round pick doesn't pan out, wait until next years draft and we'll get you some help. I agree, absolutey you address the WR position in the draft/ crap shoot. I also agree on exploring other optiions...
  23. I agree, there's going to be some high expectations next season with possibly some big changes within the Division. What happens during the offseason and coming up on the next draft will be very interesting...
  24. No, probably not, but when the game was over the house of cards fell for many a Bills fan. and for many it felt like a collapse....
  25. I know allot of fans are calling the 2nd half of the Texans game a collapse and I can respect the train of thought. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer here and the truth is somewhere in the middle. Most games have an ebb and flow to them unless its a blowout. Some games that go back and forth the ebb and flow is more frequent, others not so much as is the case of Buffalo''s loss to Houston. Myself personally, there are 4 quarters to a football game. If two teams are tied at the end of 4 quarters the Bills didn't collapse any more in the 2nd half then the Texans did in the 1st. As Shaw pointed out stopping Houston with a 3 and out to get the ball back is not a collapse. Coming back to tie ind under two minutes would be considered a collapse on the Texans part. Despite the shock you could see written all over his face. Josh Allen still doing everything he can with the Buffalo never say die attitude. Fighting for the team that means everything to him. Experience doesn't always go the way you want it to go, you learn from it, and come back to this place in the playoffs one day better prepared. I get that argument, I really do, I just don't think there's a definitive answer. At least not in my humble opinion gomper
