    Wasn't Benford's fault IMO. He back peddled past the sticks and was still back peddling when the ball was snapped. Horrible off coverage play call by Babich. Made it way way too easy. "Look over here Rattler, we made your read for you!"

    Yikes I didn't like that play call. A blitz with soft coverage on the back end is my least favorite Babich tendency. But we got lucky.

    That's a really nice play from Strong fighting through the block. Has he replaced Tre?

    He put a bit too much heat on that one, I knew from the start of the throw it would probably be overthrown

    We stopped the worst offense in the NFL at midfield and that means all the problems we saw don't really exist?

    I'm wondering if he has it in him to bench his DC. Seriously, this can't continue. We have a defensive head coach and he needs to take over his side of the ball. There is no reason to have any confidence this will suddenly get better by the playoffs.

    I'm sorry but I said it at the time, bringing him back was a mistake. He gave this coaching staff a comfort blanket that you just knew they wouldn't be able to ignore. He is too physically washed to play at this level.

    McDermott made his internal hire at DC and this is the result. Brian Flores or Robert Saleh would have been the move. Real defensive minds with experience. I mean this is a joke.

    I just saw Joe Alt got carted off. Awful luck for Chargers, possibly lost their elite LT and RT to start the season.

    Everything is working on offense. Pass protection giving Josh all kinds of time, run blocking is getting push, Cook is being patient and showing off his elite vision and footwork, WRs are separating short and downfield, Allen is playing game manager with precise ball placement. If the defense can even be average this is a Super Bowl team.

    Offense makes it look so easy. Unfortunately the defense does the same. Same story every year.

    That's exactly right. Feels like on a weekly basis we come in with the wrong plan on defense and are immediately having to adjust. Make this barely backup quality QB stand tall and throw.

    So much spent on defense in the offseason and if anything it is worse than last year.

    Our blitzes stink. The blitzer never stays in control and the sea parts up the middle.
