This was the best defensive playoff performance in the McDermott/Allen era IMO. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to have the script completely flipped this year. Poor in the regular season but stout in the playoffs.
Allen
Cook
Johnson
Dawkins
Brown
Milano
I'm sure a lot of defensive players had a great performance given how we shut Denver down, but nobody other than Milano really stood out to me.
Even the 1st half I can't complain. The first drive is the only disappointment. I set realistic expectations. This has been the best playoff defensive performance of the Allen/McDermott ers IMO.
But it was not even close. I accept the occasional miss but that one landed in a different area of the field, thrown in a different direction from where Coleman's route was heading.
That miss to Coleman was bizarre, it's like he thought he was going to keep running upfield. Allen never misses that badly. Janky offensive performance today
I gave defense a lot of crap earlier but they are keeping us ahead in this game right now. Offense being unable to finish drives is why this is still a one possession game
