  1. Take Williams at 10 and Zay jones in round 2. Go Sammy and Williams on the outside, Jones in the slot. Philly Brown the 4 and whoever is the best ST player as the 5.
  2. This is a pretty nice piece of news. Make it happen Doug. Then go get a WR that is better then a 5
  3. I think most of us are in the camp of wanting a vet backup QB. While Jones has a lot of physical ability, he may not be ready yet to be the backup QB. With the recent signing of Nick Foles, the eagles released QB Chase Daniel. A very solid veteran that can excel in the type of offense we are seemingly going to run. With a QB that runs as often as Tyrod, it's important to have a guy ready to go incase of injury. We still have a decent amount of cap room and we only have 2 QBs on the roster. Might this be a good move for the Bills?
  4. By what we seem to be doing personnel wise, Our offense is going to be 60% run and then just play action roll out short dump offs to FBs RBs and TEs...which I actually have no issue with. That's like my mid 2000s Madden offense. RBs and TEs with 85+ catches a year. Where is Larry Centers? Maybe we will get Mccafrey and end up with a Rich Gannon style perma <6 yd pass offense.
  5. watch the guy play. He can't throw the same ball twice. He was completely figured out a month into his rookie year and never got better. The guy is absolutely terrible and will probably never spend another sunday on an nfl roster. That doesn't happen to a top 10 backup.
  6. John Murphy just said again EJ was a top 10 backup QB in the league. Does this guy ever watch anyother team in the NFL? I can't even believe this buffoon is still trying to say this garbage. EJ is not only the worst backup in the league, he's probably worse then every other QB including the 3s. I can't even comprehend how an objective person can watch EJ play and be so confused. A top ten back up? Is this guy on drugs?
  7. no but I think he made one for sterling Moore, valesco, jim dray, greg little and Boykin though. Better lock the lid on that thing. Someone may find Whaleys draft plans in there and leak them to the press
  8. at this point I would be all for that. Even a broken down, half speed, shell of Victor Cruz, is good compared to the bums we are signing. At least Cruz has a clue how to play the position and can probably get open just by knowing what he's looking at.
  9. It's only day 4 of FA and people are going to say we have plenty of time. The issue with that is the good players are gone. We could have 6 years to fill the roster, the guys that could have helped us are already gone. Now we will look at the Philly Brown and Jeremy Butlers of the world and wonder why we never make the playoffs. We signed a backup D-lineman today. The 1 spot on the roster we are actually good at already. 5 or 6 massive wholes in the starting lineup and we are signing no name depth at positions of strength.
  10. We are putting together one hell of a WR depth chart
  11. With Cooks in NE now, wouldn't you think either Hogan or Amendola shakes free? Might we bring in either of them to play the slot if they did?
  12. A signing like this would certainly make me feel a little bit better about FA. We would pretty much be able to get away with not drafting a corner early and would minimize the loss of Gilmore. If Clayborn stays healthy you have him and Darby on the outside with Seymore in the slot. White rolling in as the next guy up at either position. Hyde at SS and Poyer/rookie at FS. Not great but not terrible. Not forcing our guys to play man on the outside constantly should help our back end. If we pull this signing off, I may be inclined to feel pretty confident in our back end
  13. Maybe a D league basketball team will pick him up to do the dirty work, since he has mastered the art of throwing picks. The good shooters always need a guy to give him the extra time to get a clean shot off
  14. so then explain how when he was brought back, he was immediately placed ahead of EJ on the depth chart with no football player inbeteeen?
  15. Cassel absolutely did beat him out considering both times he was on the roster, Cassel was the 2 and EJ was the 3. Tyrod was the starter.
  16. matt Cassel beat him out for the backup job. Whaley then cut him. They bring Cassel back on a cheaper deal, probably because Rex complained. Cassel goes back to the 2, then Whaley trades him. Then you have week 17 of last year. Why would you not just play Jones in that game? They did everything they could and more to force EJ. It didn't work. No reason to feel bad.
  17. Everybody has to come to EJ's defense here like the guy has it so bad. He was over drafted by about 4 rounds. Therefore got all kinds of publicity and also got paid more then he deserved. EJ Got handed job after job here without ever earning any of them. He was out played by every QB that we have ever had on our roster, yet still never was cut. Had players released undermining our depth chart, just to keep him on our gameday Roster. Has had excuse after excuse made for him since day 1. Has high school level footwork and probably the worst accuracy I have ever seen for an NFL QB (not named Tebow). And through out all of this, nobody has ever been able to say anything bad about him without the "nice guy" police jumping in. EJ is probably a good guy. It's funny how that's just a given in any one of these conversations, Eventhough I seriously doubt anyone on here actually knows him or could know that for sure. Nobody wanted him to fail. We are all diehard bills fans, everyone on here hoped he would be great. The guy was given more opportunities then his skill set deserved, due to complete incompetence from our front office. I really don't understand why we are supposed to feel bad for him? The guy should have been taken in the 4th or 5th round and had the investment been in line with the performance...would have probably been let go long ago. The way I see it, the guy got more then he could have asked for based on his ability. I don't feel bad for a guy that got paid millions of dollars despite never improving. That is soley on him. I feel bad for the fans that were sold a bill of goods and had to sit through wasted time and forced attempts to get this guy on the gameday roster.
  18. Gander Mountain is going to hire him to take down all the tents with wildly thrown footballs
  19. Reggie Germany is taking the elevator to the 10th floor and dropping these guys off on the 5th
  20. How about Carr and Wright? Get a slot WR and a vet CB you can play on the outside next to Darby. A guy who can help teach Darby how to be a pro
