What if Allen isn't good tommorow?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The way I see it, if Allen struggles tomorrow-Peterman starts. And if that happens then I’ll support Peterman and hold out hope he plays well. I think tomorrow is more about it being “Allen’s turn” then anything and that this competition is anything but over. I feel like if Allen plays well against starters, he starts. If he doesn’t, Peterman starts week 1. -
cut down? Two open spots

I think we need to bring in another QB. Mccarron might not even be okay now and you can’t have one of our top 2 QBs, forced into playing that last preseason game because of an injury. We are playing with fire here. Get another arm in that can play the 4th game and get a guy in now so he knows enough plays to not get WRs killed. -
I gave up on the morning show for a while to save myself the aggravation. I tried again today and I just can’t understand how a sports radio guy could be worse then this Jeremy White. He is worse then Schopp at this point. In all seriousness the guy is one of the least knowledgeable sports personalities I have ever listened to. I’m not sure if I have ever agreed with his opinion on anything and to make it worse he just gets dug in on these ridiculous baseless points for days at a time. What he’s saying about this 3rd preseason game is incomprehensible. This game doesn’t matter because he (personally) doesn’t know if McDermott will change his mind about the QB race based on what happens in it? Wtf does that even mean? If Allen can’t move the ball in his only game against starters, he’s not going to start. If we look good with Allen, he’s probably going to start. Is this guy for real or is he just trying to piss people off?

This will just be one of those 2 or 3 day things that results in another team making it happen. I am very happy with the guys in charge of this team for a change but I can’t see us pulling anything like this off. Another team will pull the trigger and we will be sifting through a pile of excuses and what have you’s.

Stadium Name
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When the new era field thing first came out, somebody said the “Nerf” which I would say before the “cap.” But in my mind I always want to go “the Ralph” but correct myself out loud and usually just say “new era” -
I must be the only one that doesn’t like Schmidt. You can’t just look at the numbers. The numbers are usually blended out to close and it doesn’t really tell the tale. When I watch Schmidt, I see a guy that constantly wastes opportunities to get the ball inside the 20. It seems like he is very inconsistent and I don’t think he was the best punter we had this preseason. To me, Carter’s leg looked much more live and I really think Schmidt looks the worst I have seen him look. Granted it’s a small sample size but I kept saying I think the other guy was going to win the job. It’s a shame what happened to him. I don’t see what everyone else sees with Schmidt. I’m glad we brought in someone else.

Josh Allen to start Sunday
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Come on, let’s be real here...We all know now the Bills were the team that leaked the info about those tweets. I feel like everyone other then Josh Allen, probably assumes the Bills did it so he would fall to them. -

Josh Allen to start Sunday
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never wanted to draft Allen. I was very upset draft night. Little by little I came around. The kid is fun to watch and is much further along then I expected. Im at the point now where I hope he ends up winning the job. The only thing with this is, Peterman has played awesome. Everyone just gets mesmerized by Allen and it blurs everyone else. Peterman has been the best QB in the preseason and I don’t think it’s close. If Allen plays good Sunday I think he is going to start. If he slips a little, I really think Peterman will. Naming Allen the starter Sunday might be more about being his “turn” and less about week 1. Allen has a shot. He can take this thing. But if he has a tough time against NFL starters, Peterman is going to start IMO. I hope the kid steps up and wins this thing, but I’m not in the camp of feeling like he already has. -
ESPN should just start all over again. Get rid of every garbage wanna be comedian and just bring back like 10-15 of the old school guys that made the channel great. I don’t know how they could get all of them back, but certainly the majority of them are still around. Get some voices back that will bring people back. They have to do something. For a huge chunk of my life, sportscenter was an every day given. Now I can barely watch anything on ESPN. It’s way to liberal, it’s way to much about social issues and taking stances. Just get it back to sports. If people want to listen to political conversation, there are plenty of other channels. Get some actual live professional sports back. Forget the regular season college basketball and baseball. Get some legit anchors back and cut out all the political garbage.

They are both so bad. I can’t believe ESPN is going to have this crew for their 1 game a week. They have plenty of money. They should be able to get 2 better people. Monday night football is an American institution. These 2 guys should be the bottom pair on fox.
-
But they didn’t have it covered. That’s the issue. We don’t need to have 2 kickers or as many DBs or LBs that we have. We don’t even need to have as many WRs as we have now. We have 90 roster spots right now. We should have had a 4th QB Incase of injury already. If it’s a 3 man competition, you need all the reps you can get..I understand that so I will save people the time of posting it. But you can still have a mop up guy Incase a guy gets hurt. That way one of your qb competition guys won’t be stuck in a spot where they are playing with unsafe lineman. You don’t even have to put the 4th guy in if you feel comfortable. Just have the guy ready. Let’s just say Petterman got hurt in the 4th quarter last week. What are you going to do, put Allen back in? Petterman was limping in that game. It’s not inconceivable.
-
Now we will dick around not getting another QB in here in time and we will be playing Petterman or Allen in parts of preseason games that are very dangerous. Having to have Petterman innthere in the 4th quarter of that last game was careless. We need just a nobody that we can stick in there. Once Mccarron got hurt, Petterman became very important. Then he was sent out behind a line that was dangerous in situations that could have really hurt our season.

#74 and #75 in the 4th quarter.

Teller needs to get a look with the starters Sunday. Our starting guards suck. Let’s get going with this thing and cut bait with the guys that will get Allen hurt. -
Why is nobody discussing the offensive line?

Get Teller and Groy in the starting Lineup for week 3 and let’s see where we are at.
