If something negative happens on a punt return it’s our own fault. You don’t have to do anything. You don’t even have to catch it. There are no excuses for a PR mishap don’t even field it. If you don’t have confidence in the guy that’s back there you can just let it land. It really is that simple

If this group is ever going to get a ring, it’s going to be because the defense steps up. The offense has been as good as any in our history. They have done it, they will do it, they are not the issue. Our seasons end every year because of the defense. Bend but don’t break, getting zero pressure and not getting off the field on 3rd downs is NOT acceptable. Laying back off WRs, hoping a team gets bored and makes mistakes is not going to work. Our offense is crazy aggressive. They fear nobody. Why is our defense so passive? All you hear is they don’t want to get beat over the top, they will give you the run. ***** that. Read the room and Set the ***** tone. We live off turnovers. That’s not sustainable, that’s why we haven’t won a Super Bowl. By hook or by crook, no matter what it looks like..this defense needs to go on a 4 game run for the ages. Make real stops. Get sacks. Make teams uncomfortable. Tackle right away. No getting gashed by the run, back on skates and then wide open guys on 3rd down. They owe it to this team and they owe it to the fans. We don’t need them to be lights out for the whole season, but we need them to be lights out for the next 4 weeks. That’s the only way we are ever going to win a Super Bowl. You can’t just expect to score a TD on every drive to win these games. The offense needs help. This coach and his defense need to carry their own weight for a change. That starts today.

I can’t remember The ravens ever getting a holding penalty. Lamar constantly has 6 or 7 second plays, guys holding like crazy…never once do you see it called. The league is obsessed with making you think the ravens and Lamar are the greatest show on turf. You can’t even say a bad thing about Lamar. It’s like nothing else I have ever seen. He is completely immune to criticism, it’s imperative to them that we think he’s the best. It’s sickening

If Fields or Richardson (for some reason) every become available, they’d be the perfect long term backups for Josh. I’d be very comfortable paying either decent money to be an insurance policy with similar skill sets

This team has zero urgency. They haven’t cared about the clock or the score from the 3rd drive of the game. I hate the ravens so much. The Steelers could not care any less about this they are watching themselves lose and not even trying to change it. I have such little respect for them

If any team in the league is willing to give up something for Tomlin, the Steelers should do backflips. This dude is the most overrated coach in the league by 10 miles. This team flat out sucks. Anyone that thinks defense doesn’t matter is clueless. Believe me I understand the frustration. I have been dying on this hill for 6 years now. Yeah I’m an hour north of NYC I grew up with some of the best sports radio in the history of the world. It’s sucks now but the first time I ever put on WGR it sounded like 2 dudes on a CB radio

The guy was a giant fan when the bills lost the Super Bowl to them. He constantly acts like defense means nothing spent months talking about WRs. The bills offense is literally incredible and their 2nd highest WR has 31 catches. The guy is clueless. He spoke about tanking from day 1 of that Sabres season and all they have done since then has been lose. Put him on at 3am

Friday before the biggest Bills game of the year and the WGR morning show is just intolerable. These two guys and all the kids they have now are so clueless. They don’t even know factual things about football. It’s just them killing half hours saying “I think I’m remembering this random irrelevant thing” and the other guy not knowing enough to correct it. I’m way down state so I have to go out of my way to listen and when I first got there I thought Schopp and the bulldog were the worst. Fast forward a few years and they are the only people on the station with an ounce of professionalism. You could go to the bank and get 2 guys that know more about sports than these kids or Jeremy. A team not using a punt returner? Idk what’s a good average? 11 yards? How many fair catches are there or balls that bounce off a player? Fumbles how many returns get flagged for holding? It’s constant. It’s just a play you rarely get anything of value from and there’s no risk in not even bothering. Let the ball bounce, if the ball goes inside the 5 the PR isn’t supposed to be fielding it anyway.

Punt returner is the least important thing on the field. I know it’s going to sound insane when I first say it but a day will come when it happens. Don’t even put a guy back there. Almost nothing good ever happens when you field a punt. More often than not it’s a dead play. When you return it it’s always dangerous. Constantly there are penalties and other guys accidentally touch that ball all the time. Cover people so there can’t be a wide open fake and just don’t even field it. You don’t have to. In the long run… The never having a negative play will outweigh the 1 or 2 good ones

The Steelers have absolutely owned Lamar. The last game was the only game where he was ok. Anyone that thinks the Steelers have no chance is crazy. They are very live in this one. I hate the Steelers offense so much and Russel Wilson is a complete zero….but if they get anything from the offense they can beat Baltimore

In the grand scheme of things, there are so few playoff wins in this teams history. You can’t ever take a single one for granted. You have to take every opponent seriously and you have to appreciate all of it. Teams go decades between playoff wins. No matter what it is, you take the Broncos seriously and if we win…you celebrate the hell out of it. Yes we have bigger goals and yes we are supposed to win. That doesn’t change one second about feeling great about it. If we do obviously. Find a way to get 1 more than they do. Survive and advance and take this all in. Enjoy it. And let’s all appreciate the era we are living in.

I’m asking for what it takes to win. Not being on skates against any competent QB. Zero pressure, all day to find wide open guys on 3rd down and WRs with 6 yards of cushion on 3rd and 2. I want to see defense. Not whatever this fall back pray for FGs and turnovers passive aggressive BS we play. Go play defense. Dictate. Don’t be playing to not lose. Go win. If our defensive scheme had half the balls our offense always does, we’d be dangerous

Our 3rd down defense has been horrendous all year. We are laying way to far off the WRs and the zone was figured out in 2018. This defense has been the reason we haven’t won a Super Bowl yet and is why we have lost every playoff game after Jacksonville. McDermott needs to swallow his pride and change this thing up right now because you never know when we will be back. We have the best player in the NFL at the most important position in sports. It’s time for this coach and his defense to pull its weight. At the very least to not sink us. It’s completely unfair for this team to just hope for the offense to score on every drive. It’s not sustainable. In order to play the complementary football we preach, the defense needs to step up. And not just a little. A ton. You can’t just rely on turnovers. You need to do what the good defenses do and make real stops. Not 12 play FG drives that eat clock and end up inside our 10. Not crazy extended 3rd and long conversations. Just real stops. This defense owes us 1. A run. They owe us a post season of good play that gives our all world QB a chance. The excuses are over. We are healthy. Enough writing off seasons. This is when the lights come on for real. No margin for error. We are the best team in the league and the “happy to be there” left years ago. It’s time to finish one. This coach and this defense need to elevate. They absolutely owe that to this team and the fans.

I’m definitely not trying to be insensitive but we need all hands on deck here. I’m tired of every single week having an important guy or two out. The season is very short. Go win a Super Bowl FFS. We need to be all in the next month then go anywhere you want
