  1. Your funny how you twist it, yeah we should have a D that does even more, at least 5 or 6 picks every game so when Tyrod gets on the field 20 or 30 times and only scores once we will still have a chance at winning. The D needs to give Tyrod the ball in the red zone more often as well so he can get off the field faster to rest because he must be exhausted after all those 3 and outs. The TOP is not important at all, the D should not get so winded. If only our D could stay on the field all the time because Tyrod wins games more when he gets 100 yards not 200. SMH, if only the NFL was a defensive driven league and not a QB driven one. Tyrod is not beating anyone on his own with his one or 2 score games, the D is doing more to cover for him in games he won, the team is winning in spite of him not because of him. Hey he is 21-18, what a wonderful record as a starter. haha, at least Tyrod has a shot at finishing 23-21 before he is released, sadly and lucky for him he might not play the last two games to end up even at 21-21. I would hate to see him go negative in the win loss if the team loses out. Not to worry I would imagine 3 straight losses will finish him off here and have Peterman back in to end the season.
  2. Right on man. HS stat of our starting QB in the big league, he deserved to be sat after that stinker I know the D is not good enough either, we all know this but some still are holding out hope on Tyrod as a starter. Sadly NE game is next up sure hope he can get over that 50 yard mark.
  3. I would love to have balanced attack as well but first you need a QB that can throw, let's say maybe one that can get more then 54 yards in 4 quarters
  4. IMO A 300 game is something a real good QB can do without having to play 5 quarters to get it. It is not so much as to average a 300 game every week as it is to at least land one of them during a season. I agree there is no guarantee of a win with a 300 but hey with a 300 game you sure gave it shot. Your team gets 300 and so does the other that's a great QB shootout.
  5. . Sure TT can do it, sadly it took 5 quarters to get it once. I do not think this game will tell us anything we dont already know, the team needs a lot players and it all starts with someone better at QB.
  6. If you want to get the QB you want, top 3 you will have to move up. I 100% support the move up for one of the top prospects from this class, fill in with FAs and then retool for 2019 draft to fix what else is needed. All starts with the right QB to build around, getting what's left is what stinks when they try to pretend they got who they wanted knowing he is not what they wanted it was what was left.
  7. I have faith that they will build around the right QB, one that can be a QB, if not it will be more of the same old trying to win/build now with some other teams backup that has plagued this team for decades. I agree that right now there hand is the wrong suit hopefully that changes to a full house of talent and the QB is the ace in the hole. It starts with having a QB worth building around, until then your playing blackjack and the game is 5 card stud.
  8. Keep Brady on the sideline and control the TOP by scoring and keeping our offense on the field. If we do the 3 and out stuff again like NO it's going to be a nasty day with Brady always on the field like Brees was.
  9. By Matthew Fairburn | mfairburn@nyup.com Orchard Park, N.Y. — On Wednesday, Tyrod Taylor was asked if he was ready for the Buffalo Bills to get into a shootout against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. Taylor didn’t hesitate. “Definitely,” he said. On Sunday afternoon, it quickly became apparent he and the Bills were ready for no such thing. The Saints held up their end of the bargain in the shootout, scoring 40 points. The Bills’ offense, meanwhile, was a mess. Taylor led the team to a field goal on its opening drive and then never scored again. In fact, the Bills didn’t even reach the red zone after that first drive. Expect Brady to be ready for a shootout while our starting QB will be 3 and out/punt.
  10. It all starts with having the right QB to start it off and the rest falls into place. When the QB can not lead the rest all fails as well. Of course a good coach makes the system work for his players but you need to make sure the talent your working with is worth standing behind to mold and to shape. Tyrod is a very limited QB if McD is setting this team up to be molded around Tyrod we should just expect the same old 7-9 seasons, no playoffs and a new staff in 2019. Rex tried to mold around Tyrod and got fired, same will happen to McD. I want this team to be molded and designed around a bigger talent at QB, one that teams will not make sit in the pocket to be a QB something he is suppose to be able to do since that his his job. Like it or not Tyrod is a failure it is time to move on not build around for 2018 and beyond.
  11. Once again we are going through this with each other about Lynn. Lynn was offered the job to fill in temporary not to be the long term guy, this happens a lot in the NFL when the head coach is let go. Lynn was not promoted to take over because they wanted him as the new head coach because of his great offense he was just lucky enough to be here and for the owner to respect the old head coach enough to trust his recomandation to let Lynn fill in to finish it off. Lynn was not offered a job to stay here so he was let go, fill in to the end and its over. Like I have said many times before if you get fired from a job but are offered a different job at a better position with more pay at a different company you still were fired from the first company before the offered happened. Still jobless for a short time before even if it was only a few hours in between. Top 10 because of our running game not Tyrod. I never once said the offense sucked with Lynn but I have said in other threads it just wasn't good enough for long term success. You act like Lynn was so good he got offered a head coach job by the Bills and turned down the Bills offer, we all know there was no offer to stay from the Bills so he got fired from the Bills anyway you look at it. Worked out great for him that's for sure.
  12. Skilled at making a offense around Tyrod? I am sure we will have many great OCs wanting this job since Tyrod has had a new one every year, who doesn't want a job that guarantees him a full year of work. What makes you think he will last past year one? What makes you think any OC will want this job knowing the scheme he brings in will not be used.
  13. The bridge of Tyrod. Is it a good bridge if the new OC has to scrap his scheme to use the Taylor made simplified scheme? Can you have a young QB learning from a bridge QB that can only play in the Taylor made simplified scheme? Will said drafted QB be as successful when he comes in later in the year after the team has been running the Taylor made system? Will they all be on the same page? IMO a OC needs all his QBs playing the exact same system. Also who do they get at OC to want to come here to use Taylors simplified system, we all know after 3 OCs it is Taylor's way or no way if you want him to be the starter. I can see the interview now, we really like you as a OC, we like your system and want to incorporate it into the Bills logic but we have Tyrod and he needs you to scrap your system and run his while you train the new kid on yours for the future. I am sure the great OCs will be lining up to be Tyrods OC#4 because of all the success the others have had with him.
  14. He does not watch the 22 to get a opinion IMO. In a different thread he stated... Go to the play by play and read for yourself.......
  15. Best case we get a wild card, trade Tyrod and draft a top 3 prospect at QB in 2018 with a trade up. Worse case we get two more wins, miss the wild card and miss out on one of top 3 QBs. Tyrod returns with Peterman as the top prospect for the future and in 2019 we are rebuilding again with a new staff going all in on building around Tyrod.
  16. Dude we all want the same thing for the team to be better. IMO people do not like when posters say Tyrod is what he is and is not good enough while other posters do not like when a poster props him up and compares him to the likes of Kelly, Brees, Brady and many others in the millions of Tyrod threads because his stats look a certain way after a game. The D either helps the win or we lose but yet Tyrod had a great game looking at his 100 yard stats. Funny thing is we all want the team to be successful but IMO I think more and more are tierd of the excuses as to why he is not franchise worthy yet. People see a shiny new vet drive by they want one too. I am sure they ask mom and dad for one but all they get is the same old answer that the Prius is good enough. The question is good enough for what?
  17. IMO if one lumps the other should be able to lump as well. JS
  18. It is hard to get a good jersey man most players do not last long here. I have a box full of players jerseys who once was. I love those color rush jerseys maybe get a #1 fan as the name tag works for many years.lol
  19. There it is, he has a new jersey and wants to squeeze another year or 2 out of it.
  20. I agree why can't it be both, the problem I have is how are you going to find another OC that will want to come in to scrap his scheme to a Taylor made scheme and looking at Tyrods history justify the OC being on the hot seat because of it by the end of year 1. Giving Tyrod OC #4 is not going to make this offense better IMO it will just be the same Taylor made limited scheme and the OC fired year 1, wash/repeat.
  21. OC #4 is not going to make Tyrod a better QB, OC#4 will just be another OC on the hot seat after one season after scrapping his scheme to a Taylor made scheme. The OC draws up plays and Tyrod takes the safest route every time. IMO Tyrod covers his stats over pushing for the score.
  22. I would be ok with a new OC but not if he has to come in and scrap his scheme to Taylor made. Can not train a new talent at QB while running a scheme only Tyrod runs IMO. Go ahead and bring in a new OC but keeping Tyrod will make finding one hard to find, who wants a job that says we like your scheme but our QB needs you to change it.
  23. I want a stud at QB for my favorite team after all these decades of fail. I want a QB teams do not game plan to make him be a QB something he is suppose to be. It's easy to point at the OC with a top drafted talented QB prospect but after 3 OCs I just can not blame another OC for a late round prospect in Tyrod not being good enough. Comes back to the old saying you can only make so much out of a rock, you can shine it, you can point it in the right direction over and over again it still is what it is. You can even pretend the rock is Montana but it is still the same old rock that was a backup to Flacco. In Baltimore he was good enough to back him up, not good enough to take his job after 4 years of development. The question is do you want our leader to be the guy not good enough in Baltimore to even beat out Flacco or do you want a QB that has the potential to be the next Montana. OC#4 will not make Tyrod be Montana, after 3 have failed you need to blame the QB not do what Chicago did and give a QB not good enough 5 OCs. After all these seasons of our HCs trying to build other spots first while using lower grade starters before finding a franchise worthy QB brings us down the same failed road over and over again. I want this team to go all in on finding a better prospect first. Build around said QB, the other way has us in the longest playoffless drought in all of sports, maybe someday we can have top of the line things over the lower grade things. If you want a chance at a dynasty you have to start by getting a QB that lead the team to be that dynasty and Tyrod IMO is not that guy. We need our starting QB to be on the same page as the backup QB, said backup needs to learn and play what the OC runs and the starter is showing him being played. You can not have the starting QB need to have a Taylor made offense while the backup is playing/learning a different one. Tyrods Taylor made offensive simple scheme has proven to only work for so long, good teams have it figured out. When Brady goes out NEs backup comes in and plays the exact same system but with Tyrods scheme only Tyrod can play it so the Tyrod bridge is not a bridge to a new trained franchise worthy QB it's a bandaid that has the next guy up in real trouble IMO. I want better and can only hope this new staff goes for it over the way the last bunch of staffs were fired trying the bandaid the problem. IMO Fitz was more of a bridge then Tyrod ever is only because Fitz played the system designed by the OC over the Tyrod simplified Tyrod only Taylor made system only he runs.
  24. What Tyrod got one TD today did anyone really think we would get two? He also got over 100 yards this should be a celebration. People need to chill out I am sure Brady will let the NE game be just as close when we play them, one TD Tyrod. SB
