  1. No offense if you have one and I agree they are way way cheaper but to me they are an eyesore. A nice inground with landscape, I feel is beautiful.
  2. Smart! I didnt even think of that! Thanks! The yard is already fenced so that should not be a prob.
  3. great, honest post. Couple of things though. we open the pool around june and close september so the cost of running it would only be for 3 to 4 months. I am not loking for the gunite pool just a liner. Thanks for your input. I personally could take or leave a pool. My wife is a fish and she just loves to swim and it pleases me to see her enjoy something so much.
  4. I live in East Amherst so my yard is rather small to begin with. So I guess this would be a negative to some people. My wife and I are not looking to move until retirement (im 27 and she is 29) so I guess the value concern might be a moot point but I am a numbers and value guy so it is always a concern.
  5. 10 team league. passing yards 25 yds/pt rushing 10 yds/pt receiving 10 yds/pt. all touchdowns are 6 pts. Play 1 qb, 2 rbs, 3 wr, 1 te, 1 k, 1 def QB: Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Jason Campbell RB: Landanian Tomlinson, Joseph Addai, Marshawn Lynch, Lendale White, Laurence Maroney, Ernest Graham WR: Boldin, Roddy White, Jericho Cotchery, Torry Holt, Chris Chambers, Branch, Henderson TE: Antonio Gates, Bo Scaife K: Kaeding Def: Philadelphia
  6. I live in the western new york area and need some opinions about putting in an inground pool. From what I can see these things arent cheap and for a tiny inground liner with landscape and concrete its going to run 30,000 plus. My questions are for those pool owners who live in this area would u do it again or advise not too. What is the effect on the value of the home? I get some that say there is no value and can hurt the home or can increase the home value. Thoughts and advice???
  7. Is there a vote for funniest post of the year? Spit my coffee out, LOL!
  8. The more I think of this, the more I think of it as a real possibility. Could this all just be for the Pats on Monday night. When you lose every game to a team for the past 8-9 years it will make you do crazy things. Paul Hamilton is on record saying that he does not believe the Bills will use the no-huddle. MAkes you think...
  9. This thought may be on the ridiculous side but it is a thought none the less. But what if TO sitting out, trent looking bad, the no huddle, and the whole offense looking terrible is all part of a vanilla plan so teams (ie the patriots) have little to no legit tape of what our offense is capable of. Do I truly believe this no. But the thought has crossed my mind. Maybe I'm sick? Maybe this idea has already been posted so I apologize if this has been discussed.
  10. My lawn is showing patches of brown and it is spreading. It is not from burning out or not from enough water as we have had plenty of rain this season. I have treated the lawn myself this year starting with a crab grass preventer, weed control fertilizer and a shot of turf builder with iron. I dont really know what it is or what to do. I am located in Western New York if that helps. Any thoughts?
  11. jesus christ. Rob Johnson looked great in his one game as well.
  12. Well I was actually looking into concrete cast countertops as I think this is where the kitchen counter trend is going. And I came upon the granicrete. I think it is just the idea of simplicity as in not having to tear out the old countertops but still get a great look.
  13. i got a rough estimate of it being 45 $ per sq ft to resurface existing laminate countertops. that seems a bit pricey.
  14. Its a newer concrete system that you can use to resurface existing countertops that achieve the look of granite or marble. Im looking to get granite countertops installed but came across this idea. www.granicrete.com
  15. i use scottrade! its good and i wire money from my bank account
  16. this is travis barker of Blink 182 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKQgDY0pZ68 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOfsr9D-KXU
  17. Thats the guy that I had come out to do an estimate. And have not heard from him since!
  18. I am member of angies list and it is a good tool. The only thing is there are not many current reviews of hardwood floor companies. The one that was rated the highest i had come out to my house and he seemed real good. He said I would have a quote in a day or so. I have not heard from him since (2 weeks) and no response to my email. I actually hope nothing happended to him.
  19. I'm looking to get new hardwood flooring laid and existing flooring refinished. I am aware of the 2 big companies (Buffalo HArdwood and MP Carrol). Anybody have good experience with anyone else? This question may belong in the consumers digest board but I thought I would have better luck here! Thanks
  20. That ws f'n incredible from a part of one of my favorite songs! Cant tell you how many times I've replayed that part of the song and to watch danny play that was incredible! Nice find!
  21. I was thinking the same thing.
  22. I agree completely. I dont like to get to fired up about politics, but the one thing that was so apparent was the fact that people were voting blindly and bit on all the hype. Its a real shame.
  23. Isnt 250,000 today not even close to what it was during clintons days. Todays number should be adjusted to todays financial climate.
  24. I just dont get it. I consider myself a republican and a pretty conservative one but I dont care who is in office as long as it benefits the United States. I really think Obama is really reaching on this plan. I'm sorry but in the year 2009 a combined income of 250,000 is just not that much anymore. Obama is the 2009 version of robinhood. Except in this case his idea of "rich" is grossly miscalculated. And the other thing that gets me are the people who blindly voted for him thinking they will be getting a piece of the so-called "rich". This is just not the foundation this country was built upon. The American Dream is to be able to go from rags to riches with hardwork and perseverance and in some cases a little luck. Ok now I'm done.
