JK thinks they go into the season with Drew and need to get a solid offense around him. He doesnt think JP is ready but should be starter in preseason to learn the offense

Was reading another thread and know the folks back home are having some crappy weather, so decided to start a just weather thread. Since Dec 30th the temps here have been in 70's ever day. Nice to play golf in shorts in January and also ging to work in shorts.

Imporvement might mean he is back bt not that he is the starter.

Good post Bill, thats why I keep saying just want a real dog fight in camp for who should be the starting QB and whomever that is they be the best QB based on prefromance and knowledge of the offense not how much they are paid, what draft pick they were/weren't, or wether folks on TSW will be happy with the result. I have a preference in this matter but lets let the coaches who know what the hell they are doing decide these things,

Cindy what do u expect its the offseason and we have hundreds of folks that know how to be a better GM, head coach, QB, RB, OT, OG, Center, LB, FB, DE, DT, FS,SS and CB than any of the current players on the team or members of the staff at OBD. But hey we could all be posting about more intelligent things like " have yo ever been with a beautifu woman, I am a terrible human being ....."

You lost your mind I believe the OL starters for Pitt played the entire game they just did some rotating of some younger players into different positions for some of the series.

Mark, great analysis but maybe have a few places were I disagree. On QB not sure Shane is the guy I want around thinking maybe a younger backup that could eventually take over the number 2 job when Drew is gone and may be able to help JP develop. On the TE front my only concern is how well Euhus and Campbell will recover from the ACL tears and will they be factors next year? Do ya go the route of a veteran who still can block and catch but at the pinnacle of career? On the Linebackers agree on most points and if we lose Big Pat we could shift to the 3 - 4 which I think suits Posey better. If ya went to the 3-4 ya have to get another LB on the roster. On free saftey I would like to see this as a draft priority along with RG and Center. Voncent may be answer for a short period I just worry that the step he has lost isnt just due to injury and will be back but seems like he is best guy at the position right now. Too early to predict because you have no idea what will happen to some teams in free agency, draft amd preseason. Might as well try prdicting the weather for opening day probably about as accurate.

Agreed Drew seems like a nice guy etc just not convinced he is the best QB on the roster at this time. I just want a proper fair battle in off season and hope that the OC and other ocoaches start looking at plays that JP can run instead of relying on a perfect pocket all day long.

I dont think TE is as secure as you think both Euhus and Campbell are coming off ACL tears that takes a good year to heal so dont see them ready at the start of the season. So you trade away JP who ya used a first pick on to get Brees? Who do you think will go for that one?

The game was lost on key plays. One being the dumb pass interference by reed ( it was a simple bump what a BS call ). Next the miss by Lindell. Next the long run given up by the D after the long rest. The fumble was the nail in the coffin. But Fez you have to admit that maybe its time for Drew to move on or out as the starting QB of this team

Drew should be the starter IF and ONLY IF he proves he is the best QB on the squad, heres hoping that the coaches and organization really dont go into the off season with Drews the starter mentality but that the job is open for all contenders. I am just wondering if Drew might suprise us all and retire after the season. I dont know why but I have a feeling that is a strong possibility

I am not sure Fez is apologizing for Drew but hard to read every post on this board. I hope folks realize that its time to move on for Drew the future is now.
