Solid comp. I thought flowers was slightly better but I’m pulling hairs there. While Worthy isn’t ideal for me as I’m just not a fan of 165lb ball carriers, he’s electric and I’d look forward to him playing with 17.
I get the size worries but he seems to play bigger than his size, keeps good balance, and does not shy away from contact -

There may never be another Tyreek

To you both, I’ll concede the Tyreek comparison may be too much (although with his speed and ability to stop we’ll see), but I think he is at about Flowers level coming in last year. Maybe a little better.- 1

You think teams are lining up for a 5'11" 165lb WR?
Possibly, I'm not keen on smallish WRs as a WR2 prospect. They frequently get hurt, just like this guy running a 40🤣
I think I want the next Tyreek -
Does this rule out a return under the compensatory salary threshold?

I still put Coleman as the fringe guy for a first round. Playing in pads and gear isn’t as easy as spandex shorts and T.
Falling in love with the metric testing is great but the tape can be a truer measure imo.
If the 6 or even 7 tops guys are gone with Coleman on the board @ 28, the smart play is like you said and drop a few spots and hope for any of those 4 guys. I’d rather take Coleman over Franklin based on performance and the QB play they had.
I also think the comparison of Coleman and Franklin at the Combine makes for interesting discussion. I tend to prefer Coleman’s performance crushing the gauntlet to Franklin who struggled there but had a good 40. But then again my top WR trait is separation and it seems most of Coleman’s big plays are contested catches.- 2

Worthy was my guy before. Not sure he’ll be there now. Hoping for one of him, Thomas, or Mitchell.

If Worthy makes it past the Jags at 17 then I’m starting to call teams. Would pull the trigger to trade up to 23 with the Texans to hop the Cowboys for him.

He's growing on me. Returns punts too. A bit worried he wasn't the #1 at texas, but, Cooke wasn't the #1 at UGA either I guess. How did Texas ever lose with him and Mitchell at WR?
One thing I like that cover1 pointed out is he was productive since his freshman year. He mentions in his Combine interview taking a bubble screen 70 yards to the house against Oklahoma first play of the game his first year. -
First team Worthy mentioned at his Combine interview was the Bills.

I think we should expect a small move up. They've done it the last couple of years now. And if going WR you have to think after 4 go and the draft gets into the 20s the FO will get nervous - and rightfully so. And as you mention the possibility of KC moving up (or Carolina) needs to be considered.
Bills hop the Cowboys Part III- 2

I think I’m in the minority but I’d be excited about Worthy at 28.

I feel like he may have misspoke? He literally talks about how there's a ton of depth at WR beyond the first round and then says it's a bad draft if you don't take one in the first?

They didn't give up much. They gave up a 3rd (turned out to be pick 91) for Douglas and a 5 (ended up as pick 159). That's not nothing, sure...but in the grand scheme of things that's not a whole lot.
Fair point but still too steep for a rental. -
You don’t give up that draft capital for a rental.

Think we could afford RBs Elliott & Johnson, WRs N. Brown and Reynolds, DT D. Jones, DE Epenesa, and S Chin?

Five guys that I would be looking at:
P Matt Araiza. Big leg, legally free and clear, handsome.
WR Gabe Davis. Big-bodied, downfield threat. Just needs a real opportunity to be a WR2 for someone.
LB Tremaine Edmunds. What he does for you in the pass game simply cannot be quantified by statistics. Still just 25 years old. Probably trending up.
DE Carlos "Boogie" Basham. Positional versatility. Very cool name. Non-stop motor.
CB Levi Wallace. You can never have enough late round corners with mediocre athleticism and above average zone awareness who never intercept the football.
Get 'er done, Big Baller Beane.
With the cap increase, let’s see if we can go 5/5!- 1

I think we are getting too caught up in slot vs wide, WR2 vs WR3, etc.

You should watch video of Franklin.
I did. I remember thinking he was talented but not being overly enamored with him. -

I think if they lose out on Thomas, Franklin and Coleman are likely their preference at #28. I expect if either is available, they will be the pick. If they are all gone, Ligette is ahead of Worthy, imo. I'd love Worthy as a second receiver, but they absolutely need a much bigger receiver at the X. I'm starting to see Rice showing up as a possible second rounder, which seems a little high to me, but I like him. Polk was an underrated one-term president, and I'd be pleased to add him to the WR room.
Fair enough. I’m higher on Worthy because the primary trait I covet is ability to separate, like Brown and Beasley.- 1

I don't see any chance Odunze drops within trade range. Thomas might, Worthy will probably be there. He's really a twig, though a fast one.
2 hours ago, BillsFanForever19 said:The only way Odunze falls within striking distance of us is if he blows out his knee training or something and will miss the 2024 season. Which would put us out on him anyways.
Hey I did say one of those three haha -
Hoping for one of Odunze/Thomas Jr./Worthy and then another good separator in rounds 3-5.
After yesterday who is your WR pick at 28?

Fair enough given his size. But I see him bouncing off guys, staying on his feet, and continuing to gain yards, not being treated like he is Derrick Henry’s Josh Norman.
