I think we can all agree: too little too late

Excited about Xavier Johnson. Think he could be essentially Samuel’s back-up. Gets snaps from the backfield.

No. Not yet at least.

Smart move to make a 7th round pick actually stick with us with that extra practice squad spot. Keep betting on upside.

Frankly not thrilled because I am a Worthy guy and not a Coleman guy. What confuses me most is that this regime seemed to put an emphasis on separation as a key trait for their WR room and I do not see Coleman as a good separator. Watching him, he seems to lack that electricity and speed to his game. His reliance on physicality is something I feel is tough to translate to the NFL
That said, he is physical and in ways very athletic. We’ve missed his big dog, the ball is mine, type of pass catcher. He blocks. He rarely drops the ball. Seems he will get along with JA17.
Not real excited about him if I’m being honest but keeping an open mind and of course will be screaming my head off for him.

think he's just too small to play on the perimeter where he'd get sealed on the sideline by bigger WRs.
You want this kid covering in space where he can't get boxed out, and can use his speed and quickness. He'll be Cam Lewis' primary competition to make the roster I think
Yeah, I think him on the outside will be the least significant way he contributes, but what I saw was he knows how to use his body well out there even if his size is limited -
Looks like our punt returner, backup slot, and outside CB3/4 out the gate.
From the 4-5 min highlight video I watched, seems he can tackle, blitz, boxes out and uses the sideline well, and is electric returning INTs and punts.- 5

Let me guess, James Cook got in Beane’s ear?

Don’t worry his gauntlet is great so if the ball gets thrown his way 7 times in one play then we’re golden

Not saying I want this trade to happen, but would a way around the purported impossibility be to have Deebo redo his deal to one that fits under the Bills cap while still a 49er, execute the trade, and then rework the deal?
A bit of handshakes and trust required of all parties but within the realm of possibility I think.

I like McConkey for his route running and versatility where he can line up but feeling like it will be Mitchell whose RAS and WR1 potential seems like a Beane type of prospect.

Voted no just because I’m a big Worthy believer and it’s tough to shake the feeling that the Bills now not only let the Chiefs get Mahomes but also his next Tyreek.
I do get it in a vacuum though. If I were just told hey we made these trades and got these picks but I did not know it was KC then I’d probably be all about having 3 top 100 picks this year.

ESPN+ is a joke, do people really bother?
I get it in a bundle and never use it except once in a while when I open it to see my subscription doesn’t get the game I want to watch. -

Anyone is worthy of such inquiry.
But speaking of Worthy, KC offered to move up to 31, and when I rejected and selected Worthy, KC then traded back out of 32. So that felt pretty great, within the confines of fake digital draft maneuvering.
Got ‘em!By the way, yours is similar to my “hay is in the barn” PFN mock today:
Trades:
- 28 & 204 to DAL (who traded down prior) for 30 & 87
- 87 & 163 to LAR for 83
- 128, 160, & 248 to JAX for 116
- 144, 200, & 2025 BUF 6th to WAS for 139 & 22230: Xavier Worthy - WR - Texas
60: Marshawn Kneeland - DE - Western Michigan
83: Dadrion Taylor-Demerson - S - Texas Tech
116: Javon Baker - WR - UCF
133: Audric Estime - HB - Notre Dame
139: Mason McCormick - OG - South Dakota State
222: Jamree Kromah - DT - James Madison

Yep. Only way I can see it not happening is if the Bills simply try their hardest and fail, and some team feels as strongly about Odunze as the Bills do and takes him rather than trading back. It always takes two to tang. Bills can try 'til they're blue in the face, but they can't force anyone to trade with them.
Ain’t that the truth- 2

I really like Worthy as a prospect yet still share the real concern of whether he can beat press coverage on the outside. That’s not why you draft him though. You draft him for elite explosiveness that should result in big plays and opposing defenses having to keep their safeties back.
Still, I am very on board with Worthy at 28 combined with either trading for a vet or drafting at 60/trading up from 128/drafting at 128 another bigger outside WR prospect (Javon Baker?) to pair with Worthy.
Does the big outside boundary press coverage beating WR prospect have to come in the 1st round? I think not. We took Gabe Davis in the 4th.

Well, that's kind of raises another question. Do the Bills see him as someone that plays his career at 165, or do they think they can get him into the 175-180 range over the next couple of years and still retain elite speed and quickness?
I think his play weight is going to be around 175 and he will still have elite speed and quickness -

So there seems to be a lot of smoke regarding Worthy. I'm not totally opposed to it, but have flashbacks of Goodwin and/or Graham. My question is, if Worthy ran a 4.4 40 and not the fastest ever, would he still be regarded as a 1st round wr?
Yes. Years of production. Elite ball tracking. Plays bigger than his listed size. Good route runner.
I did not like him breaking the 40 record because I liked him as a prospect pre-Combine and assumed people would then be asking your very question. I also buy that he cut down to 165 lbs just so he could break that record but usually plays closer to 175.

Just based off production, give me Tyler Boyd: 1000+ yards in 2018 & 2019, 800+ yards in 2020 & 2021, 762 in 2022, and 667 in 2023. Seems a solid floor to me even if he is not the typical burner that would really balance out our WR room.
