  1. ...not the way he played early this season. He played like crap and deserved to lose his starting spot to McGahee. Time to turn the page with TH and move on.
  2. ...I knew that the Bills' SB trials and tribulations would come up in the Philly media this week. Actually, Lyon was very complimentary to the Bills. I do digress on one point--the Iggles' legacy of losing 4 straight NFC championships games would be worse than the Bills' losing 4 straight SBs. At least the Bills GOT THERE. The Iggles are still knocking on the door trying to earn their first SB ticket in 24 years. This time around though, I think the Iggles break through and get to Jax. Jim Johnson (Iggles' DC) will come up with a game plan that will force Vick to beat the Iggles' D with his arm instead of his legs. Jeremiah Trotter will be a key player because I expect he will be the guy who will "mark" Vick when he takes off. If the Falcons dont' put a hat on Brian Westbrook--the most valuable Iggle imho--they will be in a world of hurt. Westbrook's versatility frees McNabb up to do a lot of things offensively. Next year has arrived for the Iggles. They're healthy (sans T.O.) and ready.
  3. Look for Romeo Crennel to get the Browns job. I believe Cleveland is patiently waiting until the Pats' post-season is over and then they'll make the offer.
  4. Agreed. I think the Browns are waiting on Crennel for their HC vacancy and will make an offer once the Pats' post-season is over.
  5. "Some people like to go out dancing, 'Cause other people like us, we gotta work." "Sweet Jane" by Lou Reed
  6. Cottrell? Gone. Hackett? Likely Gone. Out of excuses now, Herm. He either gets it done next season or he should fall on his own sword. http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/272172p-233032c.html
  7. ...it also helps when you have an "animal" like Tedy Bruschi in your front seven. He was all over the place Sunday night, wreaking havoc. That was as good a defensive effort that you'll see. It will be interesting to see what NE will do Sunday to slow the Bus and Staley down. What impressed me about Brady and the Patsies' offense was its third down efficiency--moving the chains and chewing up the clock. When they needed a third down pickup, even deep in their own territory, the Patsies got it time and again. With a healthy Dillon this time around, who cares if the game's at The Mustard. The Patsies are the champs until dethroned. They have a very good chance to knock off the Steelers. Frankly, Pgh used up all of their nine lives in escaping the Dog-Ass Jets. The Patsies are NOT the Dog-Ass Jets. Big difference.
  8. ...it's gonna be wild this week media & fans-wise. If the Steelers and Iggles both make it to Jax, oh my. Told ya...give Belichick and the Patsies two weeks to prepare for a home game and voila. They're just so tough to beat up there. We'll see if they can do it again in Pittsburgh in what should be one bodacious AFC title game. As for the Iggles, no sweat with a bad Moonehaha team that had no business being there. McNabb vs. Vick next week at the Linc is a sweet matchup.
  9. Well I'll be a son of a gun. Give Leinart credit for following his heart instead of the paycheck at this juncture. Surprising, to say the least. Most jump given the opportunity, I thought for sure he'd declare for the pros. Man, if he can help make it a three-peat for SC this fall, more power to him. Has a great chance to do it with the talent at his disposal. If SC stays injury-free (or relatively so), every other school will be playing for second next season. The Trojans are that loaded.
  10. ...I'm looking for the Iggles secondary to be in shutdown mode Sunday, especially vs. MoonMoss.
  11. ...too bad there's not a similar petition to stop Michael Bolton. "If he's Bolton, I'm departin."
  12. ...imho--go, son. Nothing more to prove at SC and a ton of $$ and opportunities await in the pros.
  13. ...only three on my list. First two the whole family watches. 1) Extreme Makeover Home Edition 2) American Idol 3) SportsCentury (ESPN Classic)
  14. ...one thing's certain. Robinson certainly has the experience that Gross was looking for. His success in his one season as Texas DC was a factor in his favor, and I hear he got a very good recommendation from Fredo (Pete Carroll). I wish him well. The Big East will be very competitive next season with Louisville and Cincinnati coming in and UConn on the rise.
  15. ...of interest will be what staff Robinson will assemble. Saw where DeLeone bolted to Ole Miss. For him, the handwriting was on the wall when P was let go. Will any of P's assistants stay?
  16. ...WE know better. Let Danny Boy have his lovefest this year. There are a bunch of Bills who will be in the mix in the not-too-distant future. In addition to Ralphie, there's Thurmal, BRUUUUCE, Andre, Kent Hull, Steve Tasker. The '90s HOF crew won't stop with Marv & Jimbo alone. Plenty more.
  17. ...Foxhole is the "Rubicam" that Peyton Who has yet to cross. 0-6 vs. the Patsies there. How will he and his teammates fare as a dome team in 20-degree temps forecast for Sunday? The other thing that's troublesome for Indy Sunday is NE itself. Give Belichick two weeks to prepare for a playoff game, with homefield--a tough combination to beat.
  18. BB, if that was the case, the stadium instead would have been named for the Original Moon Crater Face: Oiv Weinstein! Then the toughs, thugs, and pistol-packing punks would feel right at home.
  19. ...aka "That Fish Place." Can change the name, can't remove the stench.
  20. The Fort Pitt Tunnel is quite spectacular...panoramic view of the Golden Triangle when exiting the tubes south of the Mon.
