Keyshawn has never been a Josh Allen fan
He had Cam kicking the conference's collective ass last season. How'd that work out?

Apparently the media isn’t allowed to put video out there (or at least most of it) but since cover 1 isn’t credentialed media, they can do what they want and have a big following. Seems this could lead to the bills intervening but not sure what they can do.
Thad is a *****.
Maybe they credential Cover1?

Crazy to think he's only 24 and has had 4 NFL starting seasons under his belt as the defensive signal caller, and 4 straight 100-tackle seasons.
Some guys coming out of the draft this year are turning 24 this year...
He's basically a rookie.

How would this make him "a casualty of the Buffalo Bills training camp 'proceedings'"?
Well, training camp is proceeding but he isn't.

Boy, you'd think a husband would be beside his seriously ill wife, but T Pegz is out chasing the $$$ and galavanting around training camp.

Brittany Williams needs to use less makeup and dress less skankily. (The same can be said for her mother.)

I don't have to make a final roster. You want Beane, Brandon.
common man, you do mock drafts. Why do you play Beane then and not now?
Point is (as you know, but are ignoring) a casual fan can do a 53 and be remarkably accurate. Why is that? Because only a handful of backup positions are up for grabs. Those casual fans don't have the luxury that Beane does. He gets to view practice and get honest to goodness real answers from the coaching staff, yet they'll get 45+ people correct.
I know you're unable to do it, but for once shout uncle.

I tend to think that we have superior talent on defense & it's just that we have (very) poor strategy/playcalling.
I think this cuz it seems when we face an inferior team, be it poor line or QB, we abuse them, indicated by our sterling statistical rankings over the season.
However, when we face a good offense, whether they're good at throwing or run, it seems that we crap the bed.
Related to this, I'll say that I'm surprisingly okay w/ today's outcome - not depressed & just acknowledge that we were beaten by a superior team. But what really galls me is that we let them drive the length of the field in 13 SECONDS for the tying FG! How? Why?
Anyway, ignore that 2nd thought, that's just me venting. Whaddaya think of the 1st part?

I think you should read what I wrote. I am saying scheme and knocking rust off are NOT good reasons to have pre-season. There is nothing to be gained in that regard by pro teams. Nobody really shows anything scheme wise in any event, and while knocking rust off is nice that can be achieved through practice.
However, I disagree on roster evaluation. It isn't that freshman need less evaluation it is that college teams can keep 125 players on their roster. You are not having to make decisions on the bottom half of your roster in the same way and while college teams don't maybe have control of the kids in the way they used to with the transfer portal etc the fact is of the 90 at Fisher the Bills have to expose almost half to the market in a month's time. The value of pre-season in the NFL is to give teams the opportunity to evaluate the bottom half of their rosters. It is a fact that pretty much every year in the NFL there are UDFAs who make rosters based on pre-season performances. Want proof? In 2020 without a pre-season 30.8 fewer UDFAs made NFL rosters when compared with the 10 year average. That is the value of pre-season in the NFL.
At what date will you release your "final" roster, or have you already?

Well I think the NFL could for the purposes of "scheme" or "knocking rust off starters". The football argument for keeping a pre-season in the NFL is entirely about evaluation of and decisions regarding the bottom half of the roster which is not an issue on college because the same roster limits and regulations do not apply.
Scheme and knocking rust off aren’t important to college kids? One loss by most teams ruins any chance at the playoffs yet they’re able to handle things just fine. Freshmen need less evaluation than pros with miles of film? There are 90 players at SJF. Roster size is not an issue.

Is this a pro or anti Edmunds response?
Why does it have to be either?
I am in the camp that believes that Edmunds has been underwhelming in run defense.

So I disagree that it is "nothing to do with football development" but the idea that Josh needs to play to get used to a new playcaller or a tweaked scheme I agree is an exagerration of the use of pre-season.
Why is it that HS (that's American for high school) and collegiate teams can do it?

Would you judge an elite cb just in terms of pass break ups and interceptions though?
What if he's so good the other team avoids him as much as possible?
What if instead, he plays zone a ton and because of his range and length, he is able to prevent people from taking deep shots and instead forces teams to take dump offs to the front part of that defenders zone. When the qb is forced to check down because of the player's ability to eliminate the chunk play they are trying to hit, they then tackle the check down for very little YAC at the same rate, or better as other players considered elite at their position?
Why are you ignoring his impact on the running game?
