This is to predict the performance of each unit in 2020 based on the current roster. The DL and QB units were particularly tough to predict and could end up much better.

    QB: C

    RB: B

    TE: C-

    WR: A

    OL:C-

CB: B- (After White, the rest is just average)

    S: A

LB: C+ (Not as good as advertised, but not bad either)

DL: C (Tough to predict how Oliver, Phillips and Epenesa will perform)

    ST: C+

Too low on our LB's...Edmunds and Milano are excellent and one of the top duos in the NFL.

Too high on the RB's...although I like them (I REALLY like Moss), neither of them has proven anything yet.

A little too high on the safeties. They're good, but they're also products of this defense. I'd put them around a B.

    Everything else is fine.

It's a fun excercise but it's worthless to do it with QB's in the mix. There are at most 32 professional starting QB's in the NFL (probably closer to 25 really). Those 32 would go 1-32.

Suppose we're willing to ignore that, then some major issues: Brees at #8 ahead of the likes of Carson Wentz? Obviously better, but if this is day one, what team is going for the one year rental?

Also, No surprise on Allen going mid-second. The media can't help themselves. He would really be in the top 15 in real life, undoubtedly.

So you're taking the 32nd QB over the #1 WR, CB, DE, etc?

    That's terrible roster building.

  3. I think Bills fans better start respecting the Dolphins.

We want respect because of Beane and McDermott...well, I think we should start looking at Grier and Flores in the same light.

I'll wait to ultimately see how it all plays out, but they seem to know what they're doing down there.

ehh..wouldn’t it make more sense if that was mcKenzie though? Those are all Bills. AB is not.

It would, but I promise you that is him...look at the hair on that guy, then on AB in the picture on the first page.

Plus, they all seem happy to be there, but him.

Also, I know he is there (in Florida) from the other pictures. I haven't seen a picture of McKenzie yet.

Who is to the left of Allen and between Barkley and Beasley? I assume one must be Becker, but who is the other guy? You've got Sweeney, Davis, Croom, Dawkins, Singletary, Diggs, Antonio Brown, John Brown, Foster, Roberts, Allen, Hodgins, Easley, Knox, Barkley, Beasley and Fromm. Then the two random white guys.

I think the guy next to Allen is Becker...but I have never seen the guy between Barkley and Beasley.

    Any guesses?

I did not flush out my entire point which is that unless we get a top 10 pick it is unlikely the player will have a large impact on our team this season and I would rather see 6 new faces to build up than one new face who needs to be built up.

I promise there are 1st round players outside the top-10 that would be starters on this team.

I'm not advocating trading the farm to get into the first round, but acting like this roster is completely set is just wrong.

Hell, if our 2nd round pick doesn't have a large impact on this team this season, that would be a massive disappointment.

I think most people here think that the FO thinks highly of Singletary. He’s a 3 down back as well. Proved he can make the tough plays and proved to be elusive and tough to bring down.

Im in the boat unless they have a guy there at 54 they are not trading up. I see them getting another RB in the mold of Singletary. 2 RBs equally gifted, tough to bring down, elusive etc. doesn’t matter who’s on the field, the mindset is the same and teams are running all over the field trying to stop these guys.

I just ask for a Home run threat. Singletarys vision and ability to make players miss will be hard to find. Even Taylor doesn’t have that.

Taylor IMO won’t be there at 54.

My 2 RBs are Anthony McFarland or Darryton Evans.... round 4. I want Pittman Jr round 3 and at 54 BPA which I hope is a DE/Edge guy.

    Taylor runs a 4.39 forty...whereas Singletary ran a 4.66 forty.

If you ask me, Taylor has that homerun ability much more than Singletary does.

AJ Dillon is my second choice, because he is a perfect complement to Singletary if you want a RB committee.

No, Singletary is a stud, but he came up with a lame happy his 2nd career game without anyone touching him.

What the Bills need is someone whom they can trust to be the backup and be someone who can start if DS comes up lame again.

Yeldon is obviously not that guy, as last years actions by the Bills tell you just that.

Like I have said, the Bills expect to get RB2 out of this draft. I just don't know where though.

Well, I'll take Taylor and expect him to beat out Singletary in training camp.

I just don't see it with Singletary. He is small and has no speed. He shouldn't just be handed the job because there is nobody else to challenge him.

I’ve been spending the morning watching videos of just about every draftable running back.

After doing so, I became curious as to which RB Bills fans like as a complement to Singletary and why. Some feel we need a speedy homerun threat, some feel we need a big power back, and some want a well-rounded 3-down back.

So, let’s hear it, which RB do you most want the Bills to draft and why? And as a bonus question, which round do you think the Bills can realistically choose your favored RB?

Johnathan Taylor has everything a #1 RB should have...speed, vision, agility, he's the best RB in this draft and I'm not sure it's even close.

I'm of the belief that Singletary is the complementary RB, and that we still need our #1 workhorse...not the other way around like many others see it.

    who knows.

I'm just happy we got our guy in the 1 position we needed to upgrade to be legit SB contenders (still sounds weird , but I will definitely get used to it).

Let's win the division and then win ONE playoff game...before we even contemplate whether we are Super Bowl contenders or not.

Thielen moaned about targets early in the season as well. The Vikings had the best 1-2 punch at receiver in the league and wanted to play 1970s football behind Delvin Cook.

Diggs is firey and he is a competitor. As long as the Bills get him the ball he will be fine.

No, they definitely did not...that would be Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

I ran a search before starting this.  Nothing showed.  Yet I am sure I am duplicating something.

Anyway, I found myself on the Draft Simulator, and had some fun.  If you haven't been there, google it and run your own draft.  You can pony up some bucks and do trades, but I just went with the flow,.

I've run through it  5 times over 3 days.

Here are the results and number of times if they are repeat picks:

Second Round #54  Jonathan Taylor (3)

    Trevon Diggs

    Arnette, CB Ohio Sate

Third Round #86  D Taylor Edge Rusher Tennessee

    Anae, Utah Edge Rusher (2)

    Bartch, OT St. Johns

    Kyle Duggar, Lenoir-Rhyne

    Fourth Round #128

    Alton Robinson (2)

    Gandy-Golden, WR Liberty

    Ojemudia, DB Iowa

    Pittman WR USC

Fifth Round #167 Okwuegbunam, TE Missouri (3).  I picked him because I think he's gonna be a star.

    Josh Kelly

    Cephus, WR Wisconsin

    Sixth Round #188

    Carter, S, Miami

    Herrion, OT Michigan

Alex Taylor, OT South Carolina State

    Gandy-Golden WR Liberty

    Trajan Bandy CB Miami

    Sixth Round #207

    Hill, CB Michigan

    Barry, CB Nebraska

    Muse, S Clemson

Alex Taylor OT South Carolina State

    Lynn Bowden WR Kentucky

    Seventh Round  239

Blankenship K Georgia (5)  I think he can be a great asset to the team.  He's always available on this simulator, but I get the feeling he'll go earlier.  Kickers are pretty important.

So there you have it.  Another restless Bills fan doing something besides watching Tiger King.

Give me Johnathan Taylor, Kyle Dugger, Alton Robinson, Antonio Gandy-Golden and Lynn Bowden...and I'd be happier than a pig in poop.

I like Yeldon, and I think the staff does too.  They have been quite complimentary to him and what he did when given chances last year.  I think he could be a good compliment to Yeldon in the same way any of those other FA's you listed would be as I expect Devin to still get the lion shares of the carries.  Im not sure any of those guys listed have much more to offer than Yeldon does who already knows our offense.

So I think pepper in some fresh legs in the draft (some good ones will be there in rounds 2-5 this year IMO) and let Devin take the lead role fully with Yeldon backing him up until the rookie proves he can take over the backup duties full time (pass pro will be the key factor on that).

That being said, I wouldn't hate a signing of any of those guys above either.  Just like the idea of getting some fresh legs next to Devin as well to form a formidable one-two punch for years to come.  And I think this is a good draft to do it as we dont have a lot of holes and the RB depth is nice this year in the mid rounds.

Why does Devin Singletary automatically get the starting job?

This regime preaches competition at every turn, they can't just hand the starting job to Singletary because he's all that they have.

As for Yeldon, he couldn't even get on the field last year...going into the season with him as RB2 would be a mistake.

If Johnathan Taylor is there at #54, they have to pull the trigger, he has the speed, skill and size of an elite RB in the NFL.

I think Singletary will be a BEAST this year , having Diggs on the outside will create so much more space for Singletary!!!

I have to disagree. I just don't see it with Singletary, he's small and slow. I don't see him as a bellcow capable of carrying the load.

He's a nice piece to have, a solid role player, but this team needs a legitimate RB1 that Singletary can be a complement to.

I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong.

(At the very least, they need competition for him...he shouldn't be the only player on the roster to be handed a starting job just because there's zero depth at RB.)
