  1. I'll believe it when I see it...but I'd bet a lot of money that at least 4-5 WRs have better seasons than Williams this year.

The 49ers signed Eric Rogers and the Colts signed Duron Carter, both of whom were great CFL WRs, and both flamed out within one year.

We'll see how it goes, but I'm not counting this guy on the 53-man roster until he makes it.

(People thought the same thing about Da'Rick Rogers and Ramses Barden, among others I'm sure.)

No on WR and TE.  We are set with great competition at both spots for now.  Agholar may not even be 4th in the depth chart here.

I highly disagree. While he's better suited as a #2 WR, he would be our #1 WR. He's more talented than all of our WRs.

4.4 speed. Great hands. Great route runner. Good separation. Good YAC.

1,500+ yards and 12 TDs the last two seasons. Played all 16 games both seasons. Still only 25 years old.

I would definitely like the Bills to look into him.

    Sounds like it:

    https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/patriots/patriots-seven-round-mock-draft-50-0?b#slide-18

    Nick Easley, WR, Iowa

Two Hawkeyes in this mock and neither plays tight end? Easley may not be linked to the Patriots quite as often as his teammates T.J. Hockenson or Noah Fant, but he looks like a fit at a position in the New England offense that is just as critical. At 5-foot-11, 203 pounds, he's a solidly-built slot -- like seventh-round receiver Julian Edelman -- and lightning quick. His 3.87-second short shuttle at Iowa's pro day was better than Edelman's (3.92 seconds) blazing time coming out of Kent State, and it approached the ridiculous number posted by Deion Branch back in 2002 (3.78 seconds). Easley's three-cone time (6.55) was also remarkable. A captain as a sophomore at Iowa Western Community College and named to Iowa's Leadership Group last year, Easley was the Outback Bowl's most valuable player after hauling in eight passes for 104 yards and two scores against No. 18 Mississippi State.

Easley was also mentioned as a good match for the Patriots -- in case you needed any more evidence -- in our discussion with his strength and conditioning coach on The Next Pats Podcast.

Thank You...couldn't even find Easley in the WRs on the NFL draft tracker. Lol.

    Alright, ya got me.

The one thing that worries me is that the Panthers could never find Cam Newton any good WRs...

I'm scared that Beane will struggle doing the same for Josh Allen.

(I like the guys we have, but I just think they're all more like #3-#4 WRs.)

    Not really.

Who did the Browns, Jets, Cards/Dolphins, Ravens draft to go with the rest of the QBs from last year?

The Cardinals drafted Isabella, Butler and Johnson to go with Murray.

The Browns drafted Callaway and Ratley to go with Mayfield...not to mention trading for Landry and Beckham, so drafting a WR wouldn't be needed.

The Jets didn't draft anybody because, well, they're the Jets.

The Ravens drafted Brown and Boykin this year, and Scott and Lasley last year to go with Jackson.

The Redskins drafted McLaurin and Harmon to go with Haskins.

The Broncos drafted Sutton last year to go with Lock.

WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey (University of Texas). Great size and a play maker. I can't believe he hasn't been taken yet. The kid can ball.

He ran a 4.75 at the combine.

  7. I'd really like to see the Bills get one or two of the following players...

    LB - Mack Wilson (Alabama)

LB - Te'Von Coney (Notre Dame)

    LB - Vosean Joseph (Florida)

CB - Amani Oruwariye (Penn St.)

    CB - Isaiah Johnson (Houston)

    CB - Corey Ballentine (Washburn)

Edge - Shreef Miller (Penn St.)

    Edge - De'Andre Walker (Georgia)

    WR - Riley Ridley (Georgia)

    WR - Emanuel Hall (Missouri)

WR - Kelvin Harmon (North Carolina St.)

    S - Deionte Thompson (Alabama)

    S - Jaquan Johnson (Miami)

    S - Andrew Wingard (Wyoming)

OG - Michael Jordan (Ohio St.)

    OG - Beau Benzschawel (Wisconsin)

EDIT: These are not in any order.

I guess this is why... https://www.avoyellestoday.com/news-sports/college-football-star-ed-oliver-jr-calls-marksville-home

Definitely not accurate to call him a Shreveport product, though...

Oh, I did not see that...but I agree, to me you're a native of where you were born.

Pretty trivial question to ask, I suppose...but it definitely had me confused.

    Thanks for the article!

Shreveport? Isn't Ed Oliver from Houston, TX? I read something that said he decided to "stay home" and go to Houston for college ball.

His profiles all have him listed as being from Houston, TX.

Wonder why Tre White would think that? ?

EDIT: Also, how big is he? I've seen everywhere from 6-1, 275 up to 6-3, 290.

What would happen if NE didn't submit it's pick on Thursday night for the 32nd pick at the end of it's allotted time?  Could Cleveland submit it's pick even though it's not technically on the clock until Friday?  It just seems like a NE-esque move to give themselves and extra day to work out a trade back.

We've seen it happen mid round in the past, and you simply lose your spot in line while other teams rush up to make their pick...but between rounds, I'm not sure.

Arizona has pick #33...they would be next on the clock.

Just saw on NFLN that Peterson rumors rampant today after he deleted all references to the Cardinals earlier today in his bios on social media and also posted a pic on IG with some ex cardinals saying his boys warned him about “Snakes in the grass”.

There was a rumor he had been traded to Chiefs but that seems to be shot down now.  Players have down stuff like this before and it was nothing, in terms of changing their bios on social media.  But it’s interesting to see him also post that pic and reference snakes in the grass.

So curious if he is maybe part of a predraft trade or maybe just upset about something else like contract, handling of Rosen, etc.

I wonder if he’s available via trade if Beane would look to go after him to put opposite White?  Maybe Levi and Taron and a pick for PP?  I doubt we would, that’s a lot of money to have invested in our secondary, but man him and White would be insane to throw against with Hyde and Poyer behind them.

    Thoughts?

Patrick Peterson is definitely going to cost more than Levi Wallace, Taron Johnson and "a pick." Those two combined are not half of Peterson...it would start with a first round pick, a 3rd round pick, and then both of those CBs or Hughes or Dawkins or something else.

  12. The idea/reasoning behind this made me laugh...

With that said, I would love to pick another stud LB this year or next year. Not necessarily another 1st round LB, but a Lorenzo Alexander replacement.

White - Edmunds - Milano would look pretty damn awesome for the next 10 years...but we have bigger immediate needs than a LB.

McDermott has his Kuechly in Edmunds, his Davis in Milano (I use both comparisons very loosely)...now he needs his Shaq Thompson at some point, probably after this season.

For the first time in a long time, we are going into an offseason with a lot of cash and not a lot of spots to fill. Yes, we can upgrade, but the end result will be the same of having to make some tough choices come camp time.

I’m taking a lot of signings with a grain of salt because I know they have to win the job. As much as I want them to sign some more guys, it will be tough without a job to guarantee.

With that being said, here’s my “would ya?”

Are you good with packaging picks to move up a few times in the draft? Instead of picks, what if we only walked away with 4, but it’s a top 5 pick, 2nd, 4th and 7th?  (I’m guessing at trade results). But with the lack of holes, would you be okay sacrificing quantity picks for a home run, ie Josh Allen or Williams?

I’m going to trust the process, but with such a deep TE draft, I’d be okay with them trying to add an impact defensive player by trading up a bit.

    Thoughts?

    Lack of holes???

This team still has plenty of holes to fill before it becomes a playoff team.

Just because they signed a bunch of guys, doesn't mean those guys are going to be any good.

    They need a #1 WR, a #1 TE, a young RB, 2 starting OG's, 1 starting OT, 1 pass-rusher, an OLB to replace Alexander, and a #2 CB...plus a punter.

... Zach Brown has been OLB his entire career so not sure what you’re getting at there.

Which is exactly what I said...but I'm getting at the fact that the Bills desperately need another capable OLB.

Hell, they need another ILB too.

If one of their starters go down, they have nobody capable of starting for them.

i still think we sign Ziggy

The Saints signed Mario Edwards...maybe that means they're out on Ansah.

  15. I would REALLY like another OLB that can split time with Lorenzo Alexander (and take over next year)...

Anthony Barr was #1 on my list, but I knew that was a long-shot.

Shaq Barrett would have been a really nice addition, but he just signed for cheap.

Shane Ray could learn a lot from Lorenzo Alexander, and like Kevin Johnson he would be a former 1st round reclamation project for McDermott.

After that, all that is left is Thomas Davis...he would add great leadership, but would only be a one-year stop-gap.

(Jake Ryan and Brandon Marshall are ILB who could potentially play OLB...and Zach Brown has the speed to play OLB, but I'm not sure he's ever played there.)

Maybe they draft a young OLB, I don't have much faith in Julian Stanford or Deon Lacey. (Unless Corey Thompson forces his way onto the team.)

I'd also like them to look into Randall Cobb on a cheap, incentive-laden deal...same with a pass-catching TE like Eifert or Seferian-Jenkins.

  16. I would love Metcalf or Harry...I think I would prefer Harry because of his production.

And I think the value would be much better too. (1st round compared to 2nd round.)

I think they should draft that big target (Harry/Metcalf) and a smaller guy (Brown/Samuel/Isabella/Renfrow/Godwin).

(As for Anthony Johnson, I don't think anyone around here would care about him if he didn't go to UB.)

  17. 7 hours ago, Nextmanup said:

And what were those guys doing going after Antonio Brown anyway?  I guess all the "process" and "culture" talk was in fact BS, just like it smelled like, all along!

The guy loves football and would be one of the hardest workers in ANY locker room...he just has a huge personality.

So, in terms of that, he fits the process and the culture.

Beane AND McDermott have already said those are the two biggest and most important things they want in a player...love for the game and a solid work ethic.
