I just hope Terry and Kim don't get involved in the football decisions.

They don't get involved in football or hockey decisions, contrary to popular belief.

I don't think the Sabres pay $8M for the best free agent on the market, if the Pegulas are calling the shots.

And I don't take Beane and McDermott as the kind of guys who would put up with the Pegulas sticking their nose in the football aspect of things.

It's time this idea dies. They are the owners and nothing more. They hire people and let them do their jobs.

It’s a big corporation stepping on a small business.  Business wise, it’s makes total sense but it is completely scummy.  Someone can up with the term (which honestly I think is a corny but you can not deny it has taken off) and the Bills are stealing their idea.

I hope there is more to the story (maybe throwing some money) but just being at work and looking quickly, it seems really crappy to do.

Well it wasn't a smart business decision to start a business around a phrase and not trademark the idea.

The Bills are making the smart business decision that the Bills Mafia people should've made on day one.

Prime is not necessarily chronological age, it's experience too. This is year 3, if his age is holding him back, maybe don't draft someone that young who won't be in his prime by the time his first contract is up.

I get that, but it's not at 22 years old either...and it's not like he's getting any help from his teammates either.

But you draft a kid that young for that reason, you get several more years out of him than you would someone else.

Sure I get that.  That was why I used 'acquisition'.  And sure he was good, but he also moved on.  His presence didn't really change anything for the Bills win-loss wise.  Biscuit was huge.  Diggs is huge.

But Biscuit and Diggs were/are on good teams, with good QB's, good coaches and a good GM.

Mario didn't have those luxuries...put Mario on this team and I think he would be a top-3 edge rusher in the NFL.

Concur with Era. Just from his track record I knew we were getting a proven #1 WR who didn't get the press he might have deserved because... Cousins? Minnesota? I don't know.

I wasn't worried about him being a disruption because from what I could find, talking to Minnesota fans and doing my own limited research, was that he's vocal and he works at a high level and expects the same from those around him. People conflate "speaks up" with terrible teammate/horrible person. You need leaders who walk the walk and talk the talk.

But what we've gotten? Like Allen's year so far, this makes mockery of my wildest, "dream-on", drooling fan-boy hopes. I knew Diggs was good but they are literally making each other better. You can tell Diggs thrives on "go up and save our asses on a coinflip ball". He's unlocked Allen and made Brown, Beasley, Davis, and the rest of the offense better by association. That's not to take anything away from those named; they're studs and having a true #1 lets everyone reach their potential.

The way Diggs works, the energy he obviously brings to a sideline, how he was trying to help Barkley when we were worried the unthinkable had happened... I loved the trade at the time but without seeing how the rest of the season unfolds, this feels like a franchise-trajectory altering transaction. What I've seen out of Allen convinces me he was headed "there", but this trade maximized a window and accelerated the process.

For those in the know, I know there were studs taken at WR this year. Are we sure any of them become THIS?

Lamb, Jeudy and Jefferson could all become as good as Diggs...but it's going to take some time.

The Bills didn't have time to wait, they needed to find out about Allen as soon as possible and that's what they did.

    That was an incredible trade.

I had this exact thought the other day.  I remember when we got Biscuit.  That was an insane get and solidified a stacked defense.  I equate this as the biggest acquisition since.  Mario and Terrell were in this category too, but they didn't work out.  I thought the Bills robbed Indy in the Biscuit three-way trade.  Of course Indy ultimately paid us back by stealing Howard Ballard away.

Mario Williams didn't work out? The guy was an All-Pro and a Pro-Bowler.

But, he was a free agency signing and not a trade.

Best WR class in a while and so far he’s been the best one

    Stop it.

Jefferson has two 100 yard games. Jeudy is averaging over 50 yards a game. Lamb put up a two TD performance.

    Jeudy: 15 rec., 234 yards, 1 TD.

    Lamb: 21 rec., 309 yards, 2 TDs.

    Jefferson: 16 rec., 348 yards, 1 TD.

    Davis: 8 rec., 129 yards, 2 TDs.

I think Jerry Jeudy has been the most impressive, given his QB situation and the fact that he's the only good WR on his team.

I do love Davis though...and I'd obviously take Diggs and Davis over any one of those three I listed above.
