  1. Brooks is still in Philly...and after his wife trashed Buffalo and Bills fans on twitter, I'm not sure he'd be welcomed back. He does have a $2.1M cap hit this year and a $2.4M cap hit next year, which is absurd...so he could be a cap casualty this off-season. I would take McKelvin and Mario back though on cheap deals...and I think McDemott worked out Whitner in Carolina this year and was offered a contract. (Rather have Searcy or Byrd, than Whitner.) http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2016/10/5/11370956/donte-whitner-free-agent-contract-washington-turned-down-rams-panthers-giants
  2. Lesean McCoy had more rushing yards than David Johnson, despite 60 less carries...and averaged 1.2 more YPC, in one less game and a couple others he played injured. Holding rushing yards and blocking "grades" against a RB, is like holding a lack of rushing yards against a QB. I'm not sure the Bills win 5 games without McCoy, let alone 8 games. (I'm not saying he's better than Johnson, but if Johnson is #23 then McCoy definitely belongs in the top-101.)
  3. Seriously? A good QB would do wonders for this team. And this is better than the NHL because you're GUARANTEED to get the #1 pick. You just need to time the year out right, which could be next year with Darnold, Rosen, Allen, Jackson, Rudolph, Falk, Mayfield. (Full disclosure: I don't know a lot about all of them, but I know people are drooling over Darnold and Rosen, and they're extremely highly rated QB prospects.) It's been 17 years, what's one more year to make sure we get a franchise QB for the next 15 years? I don't get why people are all up in arms about this. The way I see it is, if Cardale Jones is good that's great. If he's not, then we will finish with a top-5 pick (maybe higher) and have a chance at getting one of those QB's. In my opinion, it's a win-win. But I'm not sold on Cardale Jones, he just learned how to hold a football. Lol. Get the best player available at any position this year, sign young free agents, see what you have and who you can build around...get the team ready and drop the young QB in there next season. We've been patching holes in the Titanic for nearly two decades now, I see no issue in trying something different...this thing is bound to sink soon anyways, let's just get it done and over with now. (Only thing is, I don't want Whaley doing the rebuild, so I would let him tear it down and bring someone better in to build it back up...or he can patch holes for another season, and someone else can tear it down and build it up.)
  4. John Murphy is a blow-hard. Between him, Chris Brown and Sal Capaccio, I stopped listening to the shows after 15 years of listening to WGR. All they do is tow the company line and sell Russ Brandon's hope. That is their job, that is what they are paid to do. It's a joke to listen to. Donald Jones: "The Bills are close, they really are close." Yeah, Don, we've heard that for years now and their record is no closer than it has been in years. We are always 7-9 or 8-8.
  5. Oh man, I sure hope they're at least "open to it." Lol. Adolphus Washington over Dak Prescott is hurting me as bad as TJ Graham over Russell Wilson. I just asked becaused I haven't paid as much attention to the draft stuff this year as I normally do, I've lost a lot of interest in football this year. Just can't put my finger on "why," though. There's a lot I like about Tyrod, I just don't see him as being a QB who can win games and get a team to the playoffs, let alone a Super Bowl. (I'd love Jabrill Peppers, but there's no chance he falls that far.) I just meant taking one somewhere, 1st-7th round...I think you should always draft a QB, at some point, in every draft, until you find your guy.
  6. So, everyone is "sold" on Tyrod Taylor...and nobody wants to draft a quarterback at any point in this draft? That's depressing. (My biggest "want" is a playmaker for the secondary, or a really tall WR to pair with Watkins...but I rather get a playmaker for the secondary.)
  7. I don't think it's going to happen. I don't see them beating Oakland, and I also think they'll lose to Pittsburgh. They struggle against good QB's, and until they beat one I'll expect more of the same. I think all the "playoff" talk is a little bit crazy, I just don't see this team going 5-1, or especially 6-0. They needed the Ravens, Jets and Dolphins games, that was their season and in two of those they had a roster at full-strength. If they couldn't beat the Jets, I don't expect them to beat good teams who are playing for their divisions or the playoffs.
  8. No clue, but I NAILED IT! Lol. (I forgot I joined this site.) What did I win? I just figured it would take some time for him to get rolling, and figured he wouldn't play much against Miami.
  9. You honestly still pay for a local newspaper? There are dozens of places to get better information. If I want to read an article in the Buffalo News I can do so for free on the internet, especially Bills and Sabres stuff. The only "subscription" I have is to Rolling Stone and The Hockey News, and I just cancelled Sports Illustrated after probably 20 years. (And nobody uses the classifieds anymore when there are things like Craigslist and eBay.)
  10. I'm not sure he'll get get one this week...but I think he'll get get one against the Patriots.
  11. His nickname is "Touchdown Mike," where the hell did "Dizzy" come from? That's lame.
