  1. I will use Daryl Williams as an Example. Signed a New Deal at start of 2021 season. The Structure allowed to Cut this year (pay the Credit card debt (Dead Money)) and still provide Savings. Structuring of contracts also minimize that future credit debt that will come due eventually.
  2. If anything what it SHOULD show to fans. STOP worrying about the Salary Cap. We have a GM that knows how to manage it and manipulate it. An owner that will lay the cash out. ID your players get your player manipulate the cap to fit your players. Stop worrying about the "cap" as fans. Bills just showed, and have shown with Beane it is something they look at but also will not stop them from getting the players they want.
  3. Yeah and not smart for them. New Coach no Viable QB. Why are they kicking cans, this should have been the year to fix their cap. As long as your QB is in place you can keep kicking that can. You lose that QB a smart team resets and settles their debt. Example on a small Scale Bills are tight with STAR but even the structure allows savings even when the Bills comes due on cutting. What also helps limit those future Bills due is as long as WHO you signed to that contract remains productive until minimum the "out year" it remains manageable. Where those future Bills really hurt when they come due is if the player isnt performing and needs to be moved on.
  4. This is such a sneaky good signing. 2020 season popped his Achilles (that is something takes awhile to come back from specially for an athletic guy) 2022 should be back healthy, so lets see if he can find himself again like he was in 2020 before the injury
  5. It is Real. But it very pliable and easily manipulated when you have an owner with CASH. But eventually Bills will come due, the proper management is making sure those Bills come due in years that it is manageable. And Beane has SHOWN that he understands that.
  6. At the end of the Day. This is the Bills Saying We are going to go all in to get that Lombardi. When Trade Deadline comes up Sell off 2023 picks as well to reinforce that goal. WIN the First Lombardi for this Franchise this year. Then look at the team and re-tool as needed for multiple runs and trophies. But GET ONE first that should be the focus this year and do everything to get that FIRST. Watch what it does to the fanbase before your new stadium that will be funded by taxpayers, then adjust focus to get multiple. BUT GET ONE is the goal.
  7. At end of the Day. The SB Trophy is the Goal. And Bills need to get at least one.... Start going all in. I am happy with it. Trade Deadline make trades that help that GOAL to win one (Like Rams) get us one, and wait and see what happens to this Fan Base. Then re-adjust to gain mulitple.
  8. Some of these Levers May have already been pulled and just not made official yet. But here are areas still that could work to free up space. 1. Tremaine Edmunds - Extension can save roughly 3-5M this year. Trade or Cut saves 12.7M 2. Stefon Diggs - Extension can save up to 9M this year 3. Tre White - base to bonus can save up to 6M likely 4. Dion Dawkins - save likely about 6M in a base to bonus restructure 5. Matt Milano - Can save 4M roughly base to bonus. 6. Star Lotulelei - Can save 4.1M in a post June 1 designation (relief doesnt happen to June 1 though) 7. Jordan Poyer Extension - Can save roughly 4M on an extension 8. Cole Beasley - Saves roughly 3M on a pay cut, 6.1M on trade or release So that is roughly 35M still in easy cap space to get back
  9. He knows he logged his best football in this defense. It is a good team to come to reset your career and maybe get your ring before hitting the market again for another payday.
  10. Beasley has 3 days to take the pay cut, find a trade partner or be cut. That is the reality with him.
  11. Some more Lockerroom Stuff with Miller There is an entire story on Millers impact to that lockerroom trying to find the entire article I think this is the Article on it. But I dont subscribe to the athletic https://theathletic.com/3191131/2022/03/17/von-miller-joins-the-bills-what-will-he-bring-to-buffalo-and-what-do-the-rams-do-now/ https://www.yahoo.com/video/von-miller-takes-aim-super-123018851.html
  12. Yep the reality is the deal is 3 years 53 Million. The rest is window Dressing.
  13. Also Bradley Chubb is on Record for Saying how much Von Miller has helped him transition into the pass rusher he is. That is something people also have to take into account how much Von will help Epenesa, Groot and Basham reach their full potential (though the ship might be sailing on Epenesa)
  14. Sorry I dont see how adding one of the premier passrushers in the league to the team a Risk.
  15. And the Bills are not done. Because there is 58 on roster right now. 90 go to camp. Roster - 58 players Draft Picks - 9 players (not all will make roster or maybe even be used) brings total up to 67 players UDFA - That would mean 23 UDFAs (that would be a bigger than normal class from Bills who is normally around 13) So they will still keep buying players. Buckle up.
  16. Another thing to think about Miller on AVG has been logging about 80-85% of the snaps on defense. Lets say in a Rotation that drops a bit down to 65%-75% of the defensive stats. How much longer does that extend his career, I fully understand he could still log his normal percentage but could cut reps for lengthening his career. I cannot wait to see how this plays out this year.
  17. What I am very interested in is this. Bills have been a top Defense against the Pass since McD has been here, without a TOP Premier Pass Rusher. Now I cannot wait to see what this defense looks like with that TOP END passrusher. McD has not had that since he has been here in terms of his defenses here.
  18. I do not agree. Cap at minimum is going up 10M a year, new TV deals HUGE jump next year watch. THen the New Stadiums as well (Buffalo) all generate increases in cap. This is still process Win now and Win in Future that has been their motto and that still is what they are doing. 3 years 53M is the REAL deal. That is easily manageable in the future. Have an elite Pass rusher and still have all their picks. That is the epitome of win now and in the future.
  19. I think it looks like this looking at it from Left to Right or (RT to LT) DE - Von Miller / Epenesa DT - DaQuan Jones / J. Phillips DT - Ed Oliver / Settle DE - Groot (Takes Hughes Side) / Basham
  20. Thanks for the name. Going to dig into him. As I prep for the draft starting this weekend.
