How much does this stuff really matter? Would the Pats have not beaten most teams even without signing one of their ex players?
Tough to say, but Rex's practice of signing opponents' players for the coin toss certainly worked wonders. Can't believe he's not coaching in the NFL today!

Man I remember drinking with his grandfather at the jaguars game. His grandpa went to duke so was a Thad Lewis fan and wanted Thad to succeed more.
Now we know why Tuel didn't make it: lack of support from his grandfather.

Whaley’s idiotness in a nutshell in that quote. Thank god both Whaley and Ryan are nowhere near this franchise anymore.
I was amazed by the lengths Bills' fans would go to defend those two. Sometimes the worst lies are the ones you tell yourself.

I'll be honest... I'm having a hard time imagining what the profanity filter could have blocked that would have filled in the blank.
I suspect it's the title of a Guy Ritchie flick, starring Brad Pitt.

A horrible pick, but better than Hackenberg in the 2nd.

Texans just traded for Carlos Hyde. There goes another potential landing spot for both Shady & Gordon.

This is so Gordon can see firsthand the lack of interest the NFL has in paying him $14M/yr.

Remembering happier times when the Bills were a national brand:
"Here it is in a nutshell: we’re a national brand now with Rex,” Whaley said to Don Banks of Sports Illustrated. "What I tell people is, during the combine, when Bill Belichick was walking with Rex Ryan that day? The story wasn’t about Bill Belichick, and this was right after the Patriots won the Super Bowl. The story was about Rex Ryan wearing Thurman Thomas’ jersey. When would you ever have thought that? That’s all you’ve got to say. "Before, it was, ‘Oh, it’s just Buffalo,’ and all about how we settled for someone in our head coaching hiring," Whaley continued. "We didn’t settle this time. We got what we were looking for. And I know this much, I truly believe there is a Rex Effect."

The correct answer is obviously Kiko Alonso.

I feel Josh is a decent back up qb for fantasy. His floor should be pretty high considering his run yardage. With any luck the OLine, WR upgrades boost him to a viable #1 option! What im really hoping happens is that Josh blows up and I can deal Cam! Hey, it is called fantasy football so im allowed to dream.
At the very least, Allen has good matchups early in the season if Cam's not ready to go. I'm starting the season with the 3-headed QB monster of Garoppolo, Trubisky, & Allen and will see who pans out.

Last night I grabbed Allen in the 16th round of my 17 round, 12 team draft.

I picked him up my last pick for my #2
Nice. Who's your #1, and which round did you draft him?

Guys I have this feeling Josh Allen is the biggest value at QB this year. He is getting ranked around 20th overall and I want to draft him late after loading up on the other positions. Why shouldn't I do this?
If you're drafting Allen as your #2, I think it's a good call.

I personally prefer Kamara to McCaffrey, but there's no wrong answer between the two of them.

Schopp/Bulldog get a guaranteed switch to Pandora from me when they start talking about their “moves.” Prolly mostly filler for their lack of preparation as to actual substance concerning the Bills, for example
Is this a cut/paste from the unpopular opinions thread? .
Also, a lower cal option is hot sauce for the ketchup, but I can’t be mad at you for the premise lol.
Sriracha works well on anything that's warm.

Duke is not faster than Zay. He has more beef, but not more speed.
Duke does have good hands though and I hope he makes it through the weekend.
Duke would smoke Zay in the 40, since he'd be allowed a 10 yard running start.
Brown is better than Zay, but more of a threat to Foster's playing time. I've been an "if John Brown could only stay healthy" guy since he entered the league. Glad we got him.

The Bills should bring back the red helmets. Can't believe I'm in the minority on this.

From Albert Breer, SI:
Also, since Allen is playing in a Patriot-family offense under coordinator Brian Daboll, he spent time intently studying Tom Brady. “[Watching] the greatest quarterback to ever do it, how he changes certain things, on certain coverages what he thinks and where his eyes go, just picking up on little things. … He just knows the game so well, he understands situational football, he’s not going to force the ball into too many windows, he understands his checkdowns, he knows where his outlets are, he’s fine with taking 2-3 yards on a throw. … He trusts his offense and he trusts his receivers and running backs to go make plays for him. And that’s something that this year, we’ll be doing a better job of.”

Raiders released RB Doug Martin.
He was competing for a backup role behind rookie Josh Jacobs but lost out to DeAndre Washington. Martin was reasonably productive last year, supplying 839 yards from scrimmage (723 rushing, 116 receiving) with four touchdowns while filling in for injured workhorse Marshawn Lynch. Perhaps the Texans will pursue him as an option to replace Lamar Miller, who tore his ACL in Saturday's preseason game.

Lamar Miller is carted off the field, saving millions of fantasy football players from drafting him.

I don't even want Elliott on my fantasy team.

I think the Packers will make the playoffs if Rodgers buys into the new system. If, on the other hand, he's every bit the jerk he's been made out to be, then you can probably expect several long seasons.

I have fond memories of that 3-way QB competition. I was pulling for Nall, solely because he was the guy I hadn't seen play. ?
Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS

Bills' fans rejoice. How's this going to work out for the Pats? Any minute now, we'll hear about Brown boycotting practice & threatening Belichick because the NFL won't let him play against the Steelers on Monday night. He's a total head case & won't be able to control himself when Brady throws to Welker or Gordon. He'll never buy into the Patriot way because he only cares about himself.
I almost feel bad for Gruden & Mayock, what with the Raiders' captains standing in solidarity with Brown. What a bunch of clowns.
