I look forward to beating up on Pittsburgh WITH Roethlisberger this season.

Yep, but we do have the Fitz led upset (2011) and the 31-0 opener (2003)..And the Orton-led upset in the final game of 2014, when Brady spent the 2nd half resting up for the playoffs. That's it; 3 wins vs Brady to go with 32 losses.

I wish Brady would've stuck around another couple of years; it would've been nice if his decline allowed us some final memories of actually beating him on the field. Instead, we're left to speculate whether or not the great Brady was vanquished by the offseason wizardry of McBeane. I feel cheated.

I like to imagine Carolina signed John Miller in a feeble attempt to get back at Beane for all the former Panthers he's poached. It's just a 1 year deal, so we might see him back in Buffalo in 2021. Wouldn't that be something?

never seen Gordon make any noteworthy plays. I'll pass
Strongly agree. Reading the comments, I can't help but wonder how much people have actually watched him play. I look forward to Gordon signing with another team so we can all agree he wasn't worth it.

Anyone heard a word about Breshad Perriman? All I can find are blogs from assorted fan sites saying team X should sign him.

None. Not one. That’s even before we traded for him, not being biased. I’d take Diggs over all of them without thinking twice.I'm with you, though I think a case could be made for DJ Moore.

Not completely alone. I hope this trade works out (Diggs comes up huge), but I can't help feeling like we overpaid. Much of this comes from what Hopkins was obtained for by Arizona.
That was a historically bad trade. I wish we would've gotten in on that, but it's not fair to measure our deal (or any deal) against it.
I think Brandin Cooks would be a better comparison:
- 2017: Saints trade Cooks and a 4th (118) to Patriots for a 1st (32) & a 3rd (103). Picks considered, Cooks was valued as roughly the #30 pick in the 2017 draft
- 2018: Patriots trade Cooks and a 4th (136) to Rams for a 1st (23) and a 6th (198). Cooks was valued as roughly the #25 pick in the draft
If the Bills traded away an amount of picks worth #18, I don't think it's too far out of line with these trades, based on my opinion that Diggs is a better all-around WR than Cooks is/was.

- Calvin Ridley / 26
- Corey Davis / 5
- Mike Williams / 7
- John Ross / 9

- Josh Doctson / 22
- Laquon Treadwell / 23
- Amari Cooper / 4
- Kevin White / 7

Holy crap, 4 new defensive players who played for Carolina. If you're tired of hearing jokes about signing players who played for Carolina, I have some bad news for you.
-
It's way too early to tell on this deal. Let's see who we snag with that 7th round pick before rushing to judgment.
-
I like Diggs, but how many targets will it take to keep him happy in Buffalo?

I mean sure, but with did John Brown, Cole Beasley, Spain, Morse, Poyer, Hyde, etc... I know the Carolina signings are low hanging fruit, but the schtick is old.
He's not very good. I figured there had to be some reason.

Also said we have spoken to Lamar Miller.
Why Lamar Miller? He never even played for the Panthers.

Any thoughts on DE Vinny Curry? He'll be 32, but tied JJ Watt for the 5th best QB pressure rate, or so I've read. Not one of the big names, but could be a solid addition on a 2 year deal.

"Croom was Buffalo's top pass-catching tight end in 2018..."
22 rec, 259 yards, 1 TD
1 minute ago, Mr. WEO said:The Bills have serially abused/ignored the TE position for so many year that Croom's 22 career catches gets viewed by fans as "intriguing" talent....
It's reminiscent of the days when our offense ran through Scott Chandler.

Glad to have him back. $5M/yr isn't guaranteed starter money, and I'd like to think the Bills aren't done addressing the O-line.

If Shaq leaves, we'll have nothing left to remind us of the year we drafted three off the bus starters.

Projected franchise tag numbers, per Over the Cap:
- Lawson (DE) - $19.3M
- Phillips (DT) - $15.5M
- Spain (OL) - $16.1M
Definitely not.

What a fine mentor he would be!

Not sure if already posted, and not really newsworthy. But what the hell.
Packers released TE Jimmy Graham.
The move was 100% expected and saves the Packers $8 million in cap space as Graham was headed into the final year of his deal. Graham is entering his age-34 season and really hasn’t been the same since leaving New Orleans. He managed a 34-447-3 line last season with Aaron Rodgers in an offense that starved for playmakers. Graham doesn’t have a whole lot left at this stage.

Melvin Gordon to Broncos

Glad the Broncos signed Gordon. Hopefully, that's one less team picking ahead of us who's looking to draft a RB, which is the route I'd rather go.
