Apply for the czar position! Keep in mind what your seeing on gameday is only half of it. We have no idea what changes or expectations they put on Roman and the offense. Be quicker with play calls? Be more efficient on third downs? Change your play calling? Don't trot EJ out there for back to back sneaks? Stop making me burn all my damn timeouts? Point being if he failed to adjust according to what his superiors wanted he may have made himself #1 on the block. Some of it reeks of a scapegoat but you can't excuse embarrassing efforts on back to back weeks. Refusing/failing to improve/adjust your style will get you fired at many places.

Someone said he was a potential GM candidate at some point? I have no idea, he does seem like a jackass with some self serving motivation though.

I think the PR is a fair explanation for Kromer, in the middle of a clown show your only going to get more negative attention by promoting a guy like Kromer with his recent incident. I have no idea about Palmer though. Put me in the camp that thinks Roman has a hard time getting another OC job.

Look up Greg Berdard's comments from last year about Roman, he is an SI guy and breaks down film. He was laughing about our offense and said it was the most elementary attack in the modern day NFL.

Most the flack he got in SF was for his play calling in the red zone, they were something like 30th, 15th, 15th, 29th in his four seasons. I looked it up a few days ago. That's with a talented group and an ideal RZ back in Gore. As I said earlier I think last nights 4th and 1 debacle brought the word "embarrassing" into the discussion and when that's coming from the big dog your time is up. He is the scapegoat in which seems to be a last minute effort to right the season. My guess is we will see more news shortly on the player front.

He wore out his welcome in both places and you could debate how well he actually did...plenty of stuff out their from 9ers fans that supports much of what we have seen. His redzone offense was bad on a talented 9ers team as well. Do you think he gets another OC job? Maybe he does your opinion on him seems to be higher than mine and that's fine. Just curious.

I think it's more about showing some accountability and trying to change the tune of the season before they just clean house. Last ditch attempt to wake the coaches and team up? I expect some news on the player side soon, a noteable cut or if they are unhappy with the way Sammy is handling the foot/pain situation they announce he won't be playing for awhile etc. Shaking things up over there in Buffalo.

I had a moment last night, early in the game they showed a young kid in the stands maybe 10-12 years old holding his face and it hit me that I was younger than him back during the super bowl runs.
