What was it the JETS said?  They talked the talk and walked the walk.

FWIF I really would like to keep Shady a bit longer

they do need to upgrade the back up position. I'm good either way with keeping. him or not. I just know he needs to step up and not worry about decisions he may not like or approve. his job is to carry the ball. not saying taylor isn't a likable guy but he handled it much better and in a professional manner. maybe he should take notes.

as for your username, I did not correlate it with 25 but rather thought you were, well, a shady bills fan...hehe

    Why not?

It was a veteran team that I wanted to see go for it this year but they've been systematically weakened so I am OK with seeing Lil' Nate Peet play this Sunday.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Tyrod back in later in the season either.   McD is nothing if not unpredictable wrt personnel.

Will you be able to handle it if they release Shady in the offseason?  I could see him and Tyrod re-uniting with Roman in Baltimore.

I'd be fine with releasing shady. it's not like he's irreplaceable. in fact, I can see them letting him go.

    Food for thought...

The argument that Taylor’s one game was so bad that he has to be benched is silly. Joe Flacco went 8-of-18 for 28 yards with two picks this year and nobody ever questioned whether he should be benched for a second.

so this cat was/is basing the benching off one game?

some need to take the blinders off and watch some games

Yeah, he is likely to make a couple really good throws like that. He's got a lot of talent. My worry is he makes just as many poor ones as good ones which come back the other way... OR... that the Chargers rush is good and their DBs just jump out and slant routes knowing he is not going to be able to have time to go through progressions. He should make some very nice throws though.

better to make the throws and even the poor ones instead of either not throwing and taking the sack or worrying about the int.

    Which are all valid.

Those excuses, if necessary, will also be the arguments against McD's decision making.  Why start a rookie QB with few reps and no experience when you're 5-4 and still looking at a chance for post season play.

why not? obviously the starter wasn't getting the job done. would it of been better to have kept taylor in there and lose the next three?

as it is now, they still could but I think everyone for the most part has seen enough of taylor, including the coach.

I don't think I've ever seen you so down '73.....you're usually one of the few waving the flag of hope when things look bleak......and I mean that as a compliment....

I feel a whole lot better with this mornings decision. there may be hope after all?

and thanks man for the compliment.

    hey DBFS'73

i really mean no harm. just like to take a victory lap here.

me and the many who had to endue all the insults and belittling because we questioned what Tyrod could do wasn't right. not saying you were one of those as you weren't. however i think we should be allowed a little time to lap it up and say, 'yeah, we told you so'. it won't be for long mind you, but it is well deserved i think.

again, it is nothing personal towards anyone here, nor towards Tyrod. i love my Buffalo Bills and want what is best for them and the switch to Peterman is best. Peterman might not be the answer but at least we will find out before next years draft.

I agree with you on the insults, which were slung around here like dung from both sides so it is warranted but I've always been one that two wrongs never make a right.

go ahead and take your lap

    yup, famous last words.

I have to hand it to you Foxx my boy, you called it and know better than myself or others who may not of been agreement. however, stay classy man, laughing in the face of those who did not have the same vision is, well, not cool.

for the record, I am pleased with this move and hopefully it gives the team and offense the spark it needs to achieve the ultimate goal, the post season.

Pretty much tells you they realize the team is heading down the tubes this season and might as well evaluate Peterman.

    or it could rejuvenate it?

I gained more hope with the decision, I was beyond tired of seeing taylor under center. whether it backfires or turns the offense around remains to be seen.

Probably not fast enough for some of you so called fans.  What a pathetic bunch of people.

ned my boy, you haven't been paying attention. you seem sensitive to those FANS who don't have blinders on. you really should worry less about others thoughts and just hope the bills finish with enough wins to make the post season, starting with this week. because if they fail to do so and don't make the post season you're going to look like the fool you are for calling those FANS pathetic.

hang in there ned boy, we should have a better idea after the game sunday.

oh, and ned boy, you have a nice day.

You're probably right. Believe me, another effort like the last two this Sunday, I quit.

I wont ever quit. my enthusiasm will be tempered. optimism will remain faded. the thing is, especially for we long time fans, we've seen this show. it's like a wore out rerun. I wont lie, McD & Co fooled me, drew me in to start believing. should of known, just a fresh face with a fresh take (trust the process) on what they're going to do with this bills team. I bought it until the jets game but even as bad as it was, I'm thinking fluke, they'll surely bounce back at home and end the saints winning streak. false hopes I'll tell ya.

Certainly a win could keep a slight bit of hope but 7 short days later, kc in their house. never been too many good results going in there. then a home game against the pats**. hell, I can already feel that sick feeling of being beat down by brady (26-3) and McD getting schooled by the master.

season isn't over, it may be for the bills as far as post season depending on the next three weeks. if they're 5-7 Dec 3rd, no way they win four straight. seen it before with these rebuilds, not the talent to hang with the big dogs and hope they can hit in the draft. then, three years, rinse repeat. I know well enough I need to see what they do this off season but what a hell of a way for a rookie HC/GM to get spanked in the early going in their tenure. 6 rushing tds last game. 500 yrds rushed against them in the last two games. motivating?

how many times do you hear must win. this game Sunday is a must win!
